This is one of those finds that makes traveling exciting, stumbling across a local restaurant with great food, wonderful service by warm and friendly people and a fine atmosphere.
We stumbled across this restaurant which is near the Malpensa airport while staying at the hotel next door, (First Hotel, see separate review). We arrived a little after their opening time of 7PM and the place was already packed with locals and people waiting in the lobby for tables. A man who is everybody’s image of an Italian Grandfather, smiling, friendly, seated us.
For about €8, we had the appetizer buffet, fresh mozzarella with tomatoes, shrimp, prosciutto, salami, and a host of other delicious items. This was perhaps the best appetizer I we have ever had in Italy.
The homemade ravioli first course was yummy, for the main course, the veal chop was excellent. There is a variety of deserts, the two of which we had, their special ice crème and tiramisu were out of this world.
They have a terrific wine list at very reasonable prices.
The service was incredible. I suspect this is a family run business, and is all about smiles and talking care of the customers.
