We ate at this quaint restaurant on a Thursday evening and would have gone back the following night had it not been closed!
The restaurant is owned and operated by Fabio and Carmelita with Mamma cooking in the kitchen. They are all beautiful, energetic people who welcome you immediately into their restaurant as if it were a family dining room. The menu is not overloaded with dishes but still has a great selection of classically local dishes to choose from.
I ate the pasta alla norma which is made with eggplant (or courgette) which was delicious. I forget exactly which pasta my partner and his brother ate but both were pleased. Dessert is Fabio's specialty and each dish is prepared on the premises. We ordered a semifreddo, a cannolo and a cassata siciliana which all were polished off pretty quickly! Make sure to save room for this dessert!
Overall, this is a restaurant that you will love and want to revisit over and over! It is worth stopping over in this small town, Castiglione di Sicilia, just for the restaurant alone!
