The hotel is really nice, new, clean and just in front of the sea. It also has a swimming pool and the only thing I found anoying is that people put their towel in the morning and they leave it there for the whole day, so there is no way to get a chair in the swimming pool area if you don't go down early. The hotel staff should get rid of the towels that are not being used so that other people can make use of the swimming pool as well. The rooms are really nice as well.

Wow! We just loved this - from a very warm and friendly reception, to the gorgeous, light and airy decor, through to just the most lovely rooms. We booked a sea view which is really worth it and enjoyed many hours soaking up the evening sunshine, with a glass of Cava and playing cards - perfect!

The decor throughout the hotel is beautiful and there is a lot of attention to detail - the quality of finishings is very high. Rooms are extremely spacious, with probably the biggest bathroom area of any hotel we've stayed in, with beautiful handmade tiles, slate sinks and massive walk-in showers.

The pool area is lovely, although the pool was pretty icy - they always are though! The gardeners spend many hours tending to the area around and outside of the hotel and it shows.

The restaurant is beautiful, very, very stylish, with superb service and good food, at a surprisingly reasonable price.

We really enjoyed Palamos, swam in the sea and walked all along the seafront and back each day/evening. There is a good selection of restaurants and the only thing that spoils the area is the 2 large high rise developments either side of the hotel, however when you're there, you don't notice these and there were mostly shut up for the end of the season. We'll definitely return!

We´ve just returned from a two night stay at the Trias hotel. We travelled with our two small children and my in-laws. I was a little wary of the place having read some of the reviews on the site and initally I tried to get a booking at sister hotel Vostra Llar but they were fully booked. In the end we decided to give the Trias Hotel a try and we weren´t dissapointed. The super friendly receptionist Pepi, found us a triple room (301) and a double room (106) at a busy time (1st of May is a bank holiday in Spain).
We arrived at midday on Wednesday and our room was ready. There was a complementary bottle of water in our room which I thought was a nice touch. Our room was very large and had a separate single room for our son as well as a large bathroom with no bath but with a beautiful walk in shower.
We chose the half board option because it was great value. On our first night, the menu didn´t have anything suitable for our 3 year old son so I asked if they could make him an omelette and a tomato salad. This was no problem and it came before our dinner.
The bar area has microwave oven for guests were I was able to warm up my daughter´s food and milk and then wash the plate and spoon in the bar´s sink. The staff were also happy to keep my children´s half open milk cartons in the kitchen fridge.
Another good point about the hotel is that the toilets on the ground floor have baby changing facilities.
For lunch we went to the hotel´s sister restaurants nearby. La Salsa (just behind) and Fish! (a two minute walk from the hotel) are amazing. Their three course set menus are great value for money at €10 per head including wine and bread.
Regarding the comment about an English member of staff made by another trip advisor user, I have to say in her defense that she served us on both nights and she was lovely to us.
In summary, I found this to be a great hotel for families with small children and would recommend it to everybody. August is almost fully booked (they only take bookings lasting one week at the time) so it must be for a reason.

The hotel was clean, well priced and pretty good looking too. The room was large, with a great sea view off the balcony.

I would definately reccomend it, although if you have a car be warned; the hotel has off-street parking which requires navigation of the one way system to get to a garage where you then have to somehow get out of the car in the middle of the narrow street to ask for the door to be opened.

Having said that, it only cost €2 more to park there. I did however notice that many had parked in the streets and this seems to be the more popular option, and probably a more simple one.

Otherwise, it's a fantastic place - the beach is literally a hop away!

Good value hotel, great location.
Spacious room with large clean bathroom.
We chose the half-board option which offered a very limited menu choice, but the quality of the food was good.
Fabulous breakfast with vast assortment of goodies to see you through the day.
The swimming pool was open only from 11am till 7pm, no good if you fancy an early morning dip and it is smaller than it appears on the website.
However, with fabulous beaches at le fosca, who needs a pool?
