We´ve just returned from a two night stay at the Trias hotel. We travelled with our two small children and my in-laws. I was a little wary of the place having read some of the reviews on the site and initally I tried to get a booking at sister hotel Vostra Llar but they were fully booked. In the end we decided to give the Trias Hotel a try and we weren´t dissapointed. The super friendly receptionist Pepi, found us a triple room (301) and a double room (106) at a busy time (1st of May is a bank holiday in Spain).
We arrived at midday on Wednesday and our room was ready. There was a complementary bottle of water in our room which I thought was a nice touch. Our room was very large and had a separate single room for our son as well as a large bathroom with no bath but with a beautiful walk in shower.
We chose the half board option because it was great value. On our first night, the menu didn´t have anything suitable for our 3 year old son so I asked if they could make him an omelette and a tomato salad. This was no problem and it came before our dinner.
The bar area has microwave oven for guests were I was able to warm up my daughter´s food and milk and then wash the plate and spoon in the bar´s sink. The staff were also happy to keep my children´s half open milk cartons in the kitchen fridge.
Another good point about the hotel is that the toilets on the ground floor have baby changing facilities.
For lunch we went to the hotel´s sister restaurants nearby. La Salsa (just behind) and Fish! (a two minute walk from the hotel) are amazing. Their three course set menus are great value for money at €10 per head including wine and bread.
Regarding the comment about an English member of staff made by another trip advisor user, I have to say in her defense that she served us on both nights and she was lovely to us.
In summary, I found this to be a great hotel for families with small children and would recommend it to everybody. August is almost fully booked (they only take bookings lasting one week at the time) so it must be for a reason.

“Brilliant - cheap, stylish; a great place. Awful parking.”

The hotel was clean, well priced and pretty good looking too. The room was large, with a great sea view off the balcony.

I would definately reccomend it, although if you have a car be warned; the hotel has off-street parking which requires navigation of the one way system to get to a garage where you then have to somehow get out of the car in the middle of the narrow street to ask for the door to be opened.

Having said that, it only cost €2 more to park there. I did however notice that many had parked in the streets and this seems to be the more popular option, and probably a more simple one.

Otherwise, it's a fantastic place - the beach is literally a hop away!

Good value hotel, great location.
Spacious room with large clean bathroom.
We chose the half-board option which offered a very limited menu choice, but the quality of the food was good.
Fabulous breakfast with vast assortment of goodies to see you through the day.
The swimming pool was open only from 11am till 7pm, no good if you fancy an early morning dip and it is smaller than it appears on the website.
However, with fabulous beaches at le fosca, who needs a pool?

“Fantastic hotel”

This hotel is an absolute gem of a place.
It is 5 star; we couldn't fault it!
We booked four rooms - all had great balconiea nd views of the harbour. Even the smallest was large by any standards. I would recommend trying to book 3rd floor or above for the best sea views. All designed in cool white and creams. Walk in shower to die for. Crisp white sheets
The whole hotel is designed very well to mix designer chic with comfortable casual feel- suitable for families with young children as well as couples or ladies who weekend such as us!
The hotel pool is large and surrounded by comfortable sun beds and trees for some shade if you want it. Restaurant has great food and is not expensive.
Good position in town, but also quiet.
Thoroughly recommend and have other hotels in the group.

Spent three nights last week with my friend here. It is a beautiful hotel on the beach. We went halfboard. The rooms the pool the restaurant the food, I could not fault this place and will definitely return.

This is a family friendly hotel, however you dont feel overwhelmed with the children, it is fine for couples and singles alike.

Palamos itself is a nice seaside resort, bigger then what I thought, but quiet enough that you dont bump into other irish or english travellers unless you want to.

Local restaurants lovely, the sea so clean you can see the fish below
