“Potato Leek Soup, yum!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 13, 2013

After walking from the Ashford Castle I stumbled upon this little pub. I had the potato leek soup with soda bread, it was awesome. The pub was cozy, a little boring if you are looking for a drinking spot, but great for food!

“Great local pub.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 12, 2013

Served food until quite late, friendly waitress, quick with the guiness, And very reasonable price. Great close by option if you're staying at the castle.

“Good food and a decent pint of the black stuff.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 28, 2013

We popped in here for a quick lunch on a very damp January afternoon. We were seated in a nice area close to a pot bellied stove, the football was on the tv, the staff were very attentive and the food was good to very good. The chowder is definitely worth a try. It is a busy spot and seems to have a good mix of locals and tourists. A group of duck shooters came in while we were there and a christening party were arriving so it is a popular spot. The food is uncomplicated but maybe a little pricey.

“Good Irish Pub!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 6, 2013

Visited this pub on a few different days. Staff really friendly, reserved the tv for the Leinster rugby match for us!!! Ate a few times - gorgeous freshly made soup. Would recommend.
