Friends went there last year. They advised us to go to Michalis apartments. And indeed the location is at the good distance of Kos town, the place is spotless, the pool is very nice. Best of all is the staff : Manos and his mother, Harriett are just perfect in what they do. They give you a welcoming feeling, constantly busy helping you to find the best spots on the island and the best time of your life ! And so it was...

We visited the Michalis apartments for 2 weeks in early July 2006 and had the most superb holiday. The apartments were excellent with two separate bedrooms, the complex was very clean and well maintained and ideal for our two young boys (10 & 8) who had a superb time in the pool. Manos who runs the complex was great company and the fact that he spoke great Ausi-English made life very easy and he is great at recommending good restaurants to eat in at night. Manos' Mum Harriett made the best breakfasts so we had no reason to go elsewhere - she was an absolute diamond, a lovely lady. A great family-run complex which we will happily recommend to all our friends and will definitely be returning to soon, only this time we will stay for longer.

We booked these apartments purely on trip advisor ratings and certainly weren't disappointed. The rooms were spotless as was the general apartment areas. Manos and his mother Harriott, provided a first class service, great food, friendly smiles and knowledge of the island. The pool was great, plenty of sunloungers and Manos keeps a well stocked pile of games incase you get bored of sunbathing.
The island itself is breathtaking, i have been to a number of the Greek Islands and this was by far my favourite, beautiful beaches, green surroundings and plenty of activites if you want to. You practically trip over 400BC ruins as you walk around Kos centre, if they were in britain, they would all be roped off and you'd be charged a fortune to go and see them. Kos town is busy and has something for everybody, the apartments are just the right distance away, a nice walk into the centre, but not close enough to be in the hussle and bustle. We hired bikes (pedal) which would strongly recommend and were able to cylce around the island - well worth it.

The apartments were so clean, as was the on-site bar and pool. Lunch in the bar was lovely and staff were so friendly and helpful. Having staff who spoke English and had a good knowledge of Kos was a great help. Having air-conditioning in the apartments was great! Loved lounging by the pool, there was always a sun bed with some in the shade for when it was very hot! One of the best holidays I've had. Kos is beautiful and I would go back to Michalis apartments next week!
