“Good, good and more good !”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 2, 2013

What a fantastic relaxing holiday. The friendly, never stop smiling, staff just couldn't do enough for you.
The room was on ground floor as requested and was quite spacious, having a bathroom, double bed, tv, fridge (couple of beers, sprite, coke, mineral water, water, refilled every other day),kettle, a seperate room for sitting and relaxing, probably used as a family room too.
The food was really good, well presented and a good variety, just a shortage of cereal bowls at times for breakfast. The Italian and Chinese Restaurants were even better (you have to book them in advance, just see the maitre de but it's well worth it). Don't bother packing any towels for the pool/beach with a €20 returnable deposit (per person) you can change your towels every day, no problem !
There are plenty of sunbeds about and they are aliminuim framed so easy to be moved (only down side was that a few were damaged), as usual people would go out at 'silly o'clock' to put there towels on a bed but that happens everywhere now. You can either go by the pool (two to choose from), which of course were the busy areas, down to the beach (across a small road with hardly any traffic, mostly push bikes), some sand but mainly shingle, where there were two sunbeds to each 'pod', a really good shelter from the sun or sea breeze. The beach bar also did snacks, although it is somewhere we did not venture ourselves, also you could have sunbeds on the surrounding grass areas by your room away from the pool. We were there at the end of June 2013 and the temperature was 32-36c.
The only noise was about 10 o'clock in the morning and 2 in the afternoon when the animation team began their activities, now this set of boys and girls were brilliant, they provided the day and night entertainment, although we did not take part in the daytime activities they provided, other people seemed to enjoy them and the team were always walking around and chatting to people whether they had joined in or not.
Kos Town is about 3 Km away, €1.50 by bus (purchase at reception) or €9 by taxi.

- POOL AREA
The pool area is so busy, it's virtually impossible to find a sunbed after 8am. Although the hotel maintains that you are not allowed to reserve sunbeds, everybody does. A few times the pool man removed belongings from people's beds who weren't using them. Caused no end of arguments around the pool.

- KIDS CLUB
The kids club is a joke, not least because it is a garden shed, with no Air Conditioning. Boiling in there. The outside play area is not in the least bit attractive. Although a year since we were there, there was the body of a dead dog in the field next door. Can you imagine the smell? Hotel were not interested in dealing with it, until loads of parents complained. If your child needs a drink or the loo they are sent up to the main hotel unaccompanied!!! I let my little one go a couple of times, but spent more time on sentry duty to make sure she didn't escape. This childcare provision would be closed down if in the UK. No signing your child in or out, they don't know who is there and who is allowed to collect. So dangerous.

- FOOD
The restaurant is good, although busy, it's well managed.

- BAR The bar is busy, and the quality of drinks are poor. The cocktails are sweet, sticky thrown together concoctions. The spirits are poor quality.

- BEACH
The beach is stony and the water really rough. Not good for small children. Definitely pack beach shoes. The pods on the beach are tired and dirty.

- ENTERTAINMENT
Evening entertainment is brill.

Wouldn't go back.

Just got back from a week in the beautiful Mitsis Ramira Beach hotel. Flew with Small Planet Airlines who I'd never heard of. Flight left on time and airside staff were friendly and polite, but no food and drink available to buy on the outbound flight, just given a bacon Panini and one glass of pop. No duty free available either, but a different story on the way home with a selection of food and drink available and a limited choice of duty free. Arrived at hotel after about an hour on the coach, too many drop off points - if I went again I'd grab a taxi. Checked in at nearly midnight and straight away offered a snack from the restaurant. Our cases were taken to our room which was lovely and clean, and had everything we needed. On exploring the next day we found the hotel had two pools, a main one which was deep - between 2 and 3.5 m (no good for non swimmers) and a secondary smaller pool in a quieter location behind the hotel, this time shallow enough to stand up in. Both pools were very salty, but very clean. If you wanted a sunbed you had to be up before god to get one under a brolly, the majority of the guests were German, Russian and Dutch. There were signs up saying no sunbed reserving, but nothing was done about it, alot of them stayed with just a towel on until dinner time.
The restaurant served a wide variety of good food, and the Chinese and Italian restaurants were excellent. The staff were the most friendly and polite bunch I've ever encountered on holiday, nothing was too much trouble. I'm not sure why the comment in the earlier review said that George wouldn't serve the English people drinks, from what I saw over the week he was always pleasant and helpful to everyone, including us. He came round the pool all the time and was happy to get any drinks you wanted. Dessy was the first to greet you in the restaurant and she was lovely, but all the staff were really nice. The animation team were friendly too but not too pushy, and you could say no to any of them without feeling pressurised. They only operated around the main pool, the small pool was much quieter.
The beach bar was nice, although you definitely need beach shoes to get into the sea, those stones are wicked!
We travelled to Kos Town one night on the bus which stops directly outside the hotel, get your tickets from reception before you go and they're only 3 euros each for the return journey. Kos town is lovely, well worth a visit.
All in all it was a fantastic holiday at a lovely quality hotel with quality staff. Perfect!

My friend and I had a week here at the beginning of June, it was a lovely, relaxing, quality hotel. You can get involved in as much or as little as you like, the Animation team were great. Two lovely pools and pool bars, the beach albeit stone was great with a beach bar, snacks and toilets. The staff were great and couldn't do enough for you, the Greeks are a very friendly bunch, a special mention for Dessy who was the meet & greet girl at the dining area, so friendly, always smiling and never got a minute off. The rooms were cleaned daily and mini bar stocked every other, gardens were beautiful. You could hire a cycle or get the bus into Kos Town for a few euros. There was a little shop in the hotel that was reasonably priced selling sweets, cigarettes, gifts, etc. The food was really good quality with a massive choice, however by day 5 I felt quite over faced by it all but the Chinese and Italian restaurants which you had to book for we're a lovely change. The bar staff would make you whatever drink or cocktail you wanted and were always so helpful and friendly. The only thing I found odd was it was so hard to get water, and you were looked upon strangely if you asked for a glass of water rather than alcohol!! Reception staff again were very helpful and helped us sort out our transfer back without any problems. The entertainment at night wasn't really our cup of tea but other guests seemed to enjoy it, we went into Kos Town a few times to hit the bars there. Overall it was a great holiday and I would thoroughly recommend this hotel to both young and old :o)

We have just returned from a marvelous 2 week holiday in Kos. A double celebration a 21 st birthday for my daughter during our stay plus our youngest son was getting married in Kefalos . Thankfully our stay was not spoiled by poor choice of hotel. We arrived very late and first impressions with reception was good. Unusually for any hotel we have arrived late at , their was a welcome drink and supper , should we require it.Later that morning we had breakfast , which had a good choice buffet of cereal ,fresh bread , rolls and hot food.Again nice friendly service from the restaurant staff. This was repeated at lunch and dinner.Special mentions must go to Dessy , Stamatis and Ianiss who never had 1 minute off during our stay. The animation staff were also very good with young and old alike.Special mentions here must go to Alex and Flo who were very amiable and liked by all.All sheets and towels were changed daily and the maid service was very prompt and cleaned rooms very well.Another plus we found was the mini bar in the room which was restocked every second day.At the animation bar by the main pool , Babis the bar manager had a very efficient staff who kept queues to a minimum and could supply any cocktail you wished .Much to pleasure of my wife ha.Special mention here for Katerina who made sure we were not short of a drink.Unfortunately on our last day she fell over a guest child by the pool and had to go home early. We all hope she is okay. Both Babis and Katerina never had a day off either. As I mentioned earlier my daughter was 21 while we were there. The hotel provided a cake , presented by Animation team meaning a peck on Kirstys cheek from Miche ,which she loved. This was followed by an excellent meal in the Chinese Restaurant which can be booked up to 24 hours before, here you get waiter service , rather than buffet. This was excellent and we ended up completely stuffed.Nearly forgot to mention that the hotel has a private beach , where you can escape the madness of the pool , which can get a bit overcrowded. As stated this hotel has some of the best hotel staff we have ever encountered.Always a smile and hearty welcome , which cant be easy when you dont seem to get a break..They also have to contend with a ubiquitous staff manager who seemed to be everywhere and nit picky.Yes I would go back and the only reason I never gave excellent rating was the fact that water from the room shower went everywhere as the shower guard did not stop water going on floor , no matter how careful you were.So beware.Don't let that put you off though

Room Tip: If you can afford a little extra the rooms with a sea view must be excellent.Good views of Kos town...
