“Very Pleasant weeks holiday”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 11, 2014

We did arrive very late. we did not receive any drinks, which is not bothersome., as it seemed to be to some clients. The major criticism was none of the bars were open all day, we were half board, but if we had been fully inclusive it would have been a problem. Only beer and soft drinks at the pool. Also the hotel was at the top of a steep hill, with no shuttle. This could be a problem for the less able, as it was the only way down and up. It was probably a four and a half star because of the matters mentioned. We found the staff excellent, from reception, to restaurant staff, to the room cleaners. Unlike previous reviews, we had a total bed change every day, rooms spacious and spotless. We found the staff from reception to the dining room very helpful and pleasant. Food varied, something for everyone. Cant say the same for Kos airport, what a shambles !!!

Room Tip: We were on 4th floor number 421, very nice room.

Firstly I would like to say what a shame about this hotel. Stunning views fab loft bar lovely spa facility and nice pool area. Everything else lets it down.
This is not a five star establishment. I will only be factual from the experience our group had was shocking!
Arrived at 11.30 pm was greeted with a drink which was pleasant we were led into a false sense of security. We were a group of 6 mixed cultures. We had requested rooms to be close. But 2 of us were split from the group. We asked if possibility to be together were told not now as too late so we accepted as was late and were tired and hungry. 4 of us were told we were upgraded to bungalows we were taken by golf cart to our rooms. I wanted to cry. We were just left in the dark on our own not shown to our rooms or how to get back to the main part of hotel. Our bungalows were spacious but very basic. Very disappointed in the kitchen diner area there were 2 glasses and that's it. In the wardrobe 3 hangers for the 2 of us. No bottled water.
So we went to get some food which were told was laid out for us. It was in the main restaurant very dark we had a choice of stale bread and and tasteless soup not even butter. No tea or coffee no bottled water nothing! Shocking!
Went to reception and was told we couldn't change rooms until the morning. So we settled.
Next morning asked again was again told no change of room till the evening. Evening came had enough of been brushed off asked for the manager she then told us no change of room available. Very frustrating especially when speaking yo other guests got room change the night of arrival and the following day. Why not us??? The reception staff unhelpful and far from competent they just do not care. The manager did send complimentary strawberries. Still doesn't change the fact they were incompetent. When we enquired about an iron we were told it's forbidden and there was an ironing service which is at at COST €5 for a single t shirt they even charge for socks. It's a disgrace. So we walked around in creased clothes.
There was no number to contact thomas cook either.
The bedding wasn't changed the whole stay and I could tell as my socks were left in the bed the whole time.
The all inclusive is poor local brands only just as we'll I only drink cocktails which were on the up and quite tasty.
The bungalows are ridden with insects geckos and huge red ants and some very scary looking insects. The strawberries we had in room the glasses and dishes were left all week.
No English TV channels so on downtime hope you like the news.
The fridge only works if the key is in the electric slot which you only get one key per room!!!!!
No bottled water stocked in rooms. Drinks only served till 11pm.
Only good part of breakfast was the waffles and pancakes as they the only thing you see cooked fresh! Food was cold. Had to pay for fresh orange juice the other juices were nasty. Toast machine was slow took 5 minutiae to get descent toast and there is only one!
Lunch and dinner repetitive everyday just a different hot meat and pasta that changes that's it and food was cold. We found huge ant In salad!,
The wine is more like vinegar. Only positive is the view you have whilst eating! Waiter service was sparse. Could be dehydrated before you get a drink at times.
Where our room was next to staff accommodation and a goat. Our garden view was of feral trees and rubbish etc. and we were right next to a workshop so our unwelcome wake up call at times 7am was banging and scraping very distressful.
One couple suppose to have a double room but had single beds.
If you need information on excursions or local area directions etc don't bother asking a reception they have no idea. Only good thing the offer is descent car hire with auto bank fairly priced and helpful.
The spa staff were amazing and I had x3 treatments my nails are amazing and the masseuse was spot on so thank you to the spa.
There is no music around the pool no ambience.
The al a carte meal was ok nothing special.
No evening entertainment
Everything is at a charge so no point going all inclusive
Unfortunately we experienced some racism in kos town which was upsetting and disgraceful we mentioned it to the hotel and asked how do we report this racial abuse to her credit she was honest but the response was shocking which she basically said in Greece it's acceptable and the authorities will not be bothered or do anything. Very sad indeed.
If your going with children it's not facilitated for them so better off at the sister hotel..
Also when visiting sitter hotels you have to pay for drinks even though your all inclusive.
Overall this is not 5* and extremely disappointing. Will never come back to this hotel again we were not welcome in the first place.
Tigaki is recommend or kardamania.

Room Tip: If I had to recommend I'd say stay in the main hotel on the 4th floor

Having stayed at the hotel before When it was an iberostar, it had a lot to live up to. We arrived late at night and was dealt with quickly and given a orange juice to welcome us. We booked a junior suite, and was a little disappointed that it was not like it looked on booking.com website, also away from the main building which which was a slight inconvenience. Room didn't have the coffee maker as stated in the room description, we were brought a kettle and cups with no question when mentioned to the reception staff.
The overall impression of the hotel is good, spotlessly clean!, the food was good authentic Greek cuisine which we enjoy very much, the room was again clean, the beds and pillows could be more comfortable, bathroom was dated but again spotless. All staff were happy to help and very friendly. we hired bikes 4 euros a day and went to kos town at least once a day, go try the ice creams from 'To special' they're are cheap at 1.50 and delicious. The wifi in the hotel is a joke it's VERY EXPENSIVE 12 euros per day, and even the premium rate which for our 14 yr old was a must has limited areas where it can be picked up, your best bet is to go to the bottom of the hill turn left and go to Spiros taverna FREE WIFI and very good drinks and prices too!, Although overall this hotel is very good, it has a long way to go........... We got a great deal from booking early and paid when we arrived via booking.com

We stayed here the end of May and beginning of June taking our family of 12 with us on our honeymoon. We had six rooms and suites for twelve people, mainly adults but a few children ( 9mths, 3 years and ten years ). Several of our rooms were suites and quite massive, the other normal rooms with a mixture of double and twin beds were adequate but not such good value; however all rooms were well appointed and immaculately clean with plenty of storage space. The only odd thing was no kettles or coffee facilities but on checking out we found they are available on request. There is a fridge in room, TV and a reasonable sized safe. The bathrooms are not quite up to a five star rating on ammenities as they are a bit dated but are clean and functional. The bar and restaurant facilities are excellent, and high quality. The food is first class in quantity and quality although would have preferred to see a few more purely Greek dishes than the more bland european dishes that you can get in any large European hotel. The taverna however with the a la carte menu was nothing special and wouldn't bother again. The staff in the main restaurant are first class but watch the dress code on your first night as alot of people get turned away for being too casual. The pools and play areas are extensive and more than you could ask for, even the kids indoor play area with bouncy castles etc is free to residents. The biggest no no is wi-fi which costs more than you would expect - one of our teenagers alone ran up a 76 euro charge on one room alone for wifi. There are other options - it is free in the roof top bar if you pay for a drink or alternately go to a taverna like the one at the bottom of the entrance to the hotel and it is free there, as in alot of places in the harbour area a few minutes drive down the road. Reception staff are wonderful and help with all areas including getting taxis for the nearby town which is well worth a visit for food, sight seeing and shopping. We travelled with Thomas Cook who were useless and we didn't even see a rep as they do not visit that hotel so thankfully the hotel staff make up for the lack of help from the holiday provider. We all loved the place, adults and children alike and had a fantastic time. The mass of positives in this hotel easily outweigh the negatives which are few and far between so highly recommended; i suppose you get what you pay for in the end and although the hotel is not cheap you get a frist class service and ammenities. We would all love to go back

Room Tip: Better views on higher rooms ( 3 upwards ) and have a front of the hotel room and not side so you ca...

We spend 10 days at Kipriotis Panorama Hotel & Suites and we had a great vacation in Kos. Breakfast was great (except for the fact that you had to pay extra for fresh orange juice, which is weird in a 5 star hotel) and dinner was ok. Some nice local dishes but quite cold (buffet).
Staff was very friendly, smiled all the time and service was very good.
We stayed in a suite with seperate living room which was ok. A bit worn out but very clean and spacious with a great view. But it was pretty annoying to hear the 'spectacle' of the club hotel of Kipriotis (Hippocrates that lies underneath Panorama and suites) every night until quite late (24.00). Not so amusing to hear drunk people sing karaoke when you sit on your terrace because it is too hot inside. That was another thing that we didn't like about the hotel. It was quite hot and the rooms have airco but they didn't work yet. When we asked the reception if they could check if the airco in our room worked they simply replied that it wasn't airco season yet. So we had the choice; either sleep with the window open and being entertained by the club hotel below all night long and with a baby in the room that wasn't easy. But I would still go back if it wasn't for the ridiculous charges for wifi. I'm not against paying for wifi, if the prices are reasonable of course. In this case it was over the roof. For 1 device you have to pay 50 euro for 10 days for slow internet and 57 euro for fast internet. So 1 code for 1 device. In our case (2 iPhones and 1 iPad) it would mean 171 euro for the wifi, which I simply refuse to pay!!! It is such a rip off and it's the first time in my life that I had to pay for wifi in a 5 star hotel. Yes you have 'complimentary' wifi in the roof top bar (beautiful view by the way and nice atmosphere) but only after paying for a cocktail that is also quite expensive.
So, good hotel but certainly not 5 stars!!!
