If you want the warm weather, a beautiful beach, and a great pool, this might be the right place for you and your kids but maybe not. The stylish, modern rooms have plenty of space and some nice amenities. The staff couldn't have been more attentive or friendly. The reason for only three stars is twofold. First, the food just simply disappointed on regular basis. The quality probably equalled a Denny's. Variety certainly could not be faulted, but the fish and seafood should not have been served well done and most every food item felt like it came from a cafeteria. The emphasis on American "cuisine" also bothered me. I'm in Mexico; I don't want a hamburger. Secondly, we also caught the unfortunate weather delivered by a tropical depression which is no fault of anyone, but the hotel had leaks everywhere. Walking around the hotel meant risking a fall as several in our party suffered. Additionally, several of the rooms flooded and buckets littered the bar and lobby area. This not a regular occurance from what the staff told us, but water should not be pouring out of light fixtures. The resort gave us more of the feel of Las Vegas than of Mexico. This all-inclusive would work better for those who have little interest in experiencing the culture, beauty, and grit of the country. Next time, we will probably look for a place with a bit more character.
