Well we arrived on the 8th sept. Altogether there was 10 of us. 6 adults and 3 kids, (3,3,5) and an infant. And although we got to our rooms really easy. Not one of the card keys worked. Took a few attempts. But didnt matter when we saw our rooms. The jucuzzi suites are fab. Lovely and spacious and very clean. The kingsize bed was great and the pull out bed in front room was not too bad either. Every day the cleaner came even on the sunday.

The pools were fantasic. We were on the blue side and the main pool is the best pool ive ever been in. Only had one acount of te kids pool closed due to a small accident. But it was later in the day. And not like you cant find another one to go in. And yes in the first few days it was pretty hard to get beds. After the main school holiday lot had gone werent as bad. And we were getting 6-7 beds. Didnt have any problems with ear ache. But mine did pop going down one of the slides. But SWIM EAR fixed that for me.

Food wasnt too bad. Im very fussy but i managed to eat something everyday. And was a kids hour between 6pm-7pm in the upstair buffet. We never used it,. But not one of the kids went hungry. There was something different everyday too. Drinks i was slightly disipointed with there not being any cocktails ont he AL but i still had something to drink everynight too. The kids had plenty too.

Beware if you venture to the beach. Its a black sand and very hot. But my god the sea was warm. Also there were a few things you did ahve to pay for. Which were werent to pleased about. As its AI. Like the adult football touranment. and the highrope thing. But the lads found plenty of other thing to do. including waterpolo, poker(yes gents poker comp) and many other things.

The kids club was fab and the kids do a few sessions. 4 sessions aday. On both blue and orange sides. And some are national ciriculm which impressed me alot. and the kids come out loving it. The entertainment team are fabs. Every night there were something to watch. either on the blue or the orange side. Have to say. shout out to ADAM who we all loved. And do hope he is back next year.

We did hear about sickness on the orange side. But we didnt see or hear of it on the blue side. Altogether we had a fantasic holiday and for the first time ever are looking into going back next year.

  • Liked — so clean and comfortable, something to do and always soemthing to eat and drink. pools are fab
  • Disliked — certain things that had to be paid for.

All i can say is that this hotel is superb, we read all the sites and reviews and were worried about it but we needn't have been, we loved our whole experience and shall be rebooking for next year.
The pools are fantastic and contrary to what i'd read we saw no floating faeces, everywhere was wonderfully clean and the rooms were spotless.
My daughter loved the pools and the kids clubs and well if she is happy then so am i...
All in all we had a great time and would go back again.

Our arrival at the hotel at 22:30 after a pleasant flight and an hour and a half of queing around Gatwick airport was good.
We had a brief stop at reception where we were checked in quickly and efficiantly. We were given precise directions to our room which was just what we ordered (room overlooking a pool and with a balcony). Ten minutes had passed before our bags arrived but the bell-boy spoke good enough english to apologise.

Time for a look around the hotel.
We grabbed a drink at the bar ,unfortunatly for my fiancee to be able to have the drink of her choice we had to pay 12 Lira (about £6) but this was only some cheap localised version of Malibu.

So we ventured around the complex only to be met by a Wedding Party who quickly informed us the hotel had come down with some deadly virus that saw a large number of people very ill and needing hospital treatment. This automatically changed our first impression and left us thinking maybe our week away was not such a good idea.

After a good nights sleep in a very clean comfortable room we asked the rep who was very informative and said that yes there was a problem but it was not as serious as we first heard and that it was being dealt with by H&S.

The complex by day.
The whole complex was clean and well presented the pathways were swept, there were wooden trollies all around for empty plates, glasses etc. As for the number of pools we did encounter a closure but with the high number we always managed to find a nice spot around another one. The sunbeds werent always easily accesable unless you were up before 9.
The bars were clean but during the morning maybe another member of staff would have helped.
The food was plentyfull and there was a very varied choice with something for everyone. The food halls were clean and after the outbreak it was good to be greated by some friendly staff with some alcohol wash.

The entertainment was 100% excellent both day and evening activites were for adults and children and there was a different thing each day/night, although it could have gone on a little longer. The entertainment team were smartly dressed and always polite and very funny.

Of an evening time the complex was well lit and still very clean.

We booked some excursions with first choice which were value for money and hosted by english speaking reps with a good knowledge of the local surrounding area. These were very enjoyable

As the week went on nothing changed, the food was still good as was the entertainment and the staff were very helpfull.

We were lucky enough not to get ill but we didnt have ice in our drinks or drink the tap water.

We had a great time but one week was enough, as a young couple we believed two weeks would be to much .

  • Liked — cleanliness
  • Disliked — The bed covers being to small and noisy early morning (outside room)

Just returned from this hotel after a fantastic couple of weeks. Yes, there were people ill there - but what do you expect with 4000+ people living so closely together, it only takes one person not to wash their hands to spread infection.
We were a family of four - 2 adults and 2 kids aged 8 and 2 - none of us were ill.
The place is massive, and there is so much to do. My son attended the football and swim kids which is fantastic value for money. Entertainment was very good (Adam Moss is a very funny guy!)
the only negative thing I would say about this place is that there is no kids playground and it is pretty isolated. All in all we had a fantastic two weeks - weather was great, food was great and we met some really lovely people. we would not hesitate to go back to the HV Turkey.
Go enjoy yourself and have a great holiday like we did.

Holiday Village Sarigerme 04th September – 12th September

This review will focus on our experiences of the First Choice Holiday Village Sarigerme for a party of seven. Nanny, Mother, Dad, Teenage daughter (18) and her boyfriend (23) and twins, girl & boy (12)

Flight
The flight departed on time from East Midlands, we upgraded to extra legroom £153 for three of our party for both sectors of holiday, money very well spent. I am six feet tall and sitting down with my legs stretched out directly in front of me I could not touch the next row of seats. All other aspects of the flight were as expected.

Arrival in DLM airport
FCA reps were obvious and efficient in herding all the guests to the coaches allocating resort information Blue or Orange etc and we were in resort within 20 minutes of the journey commencing. The air conditioned bus was appreciated, at midnight the temperature was 24%+

Orange Reception
We were greeted by fruit drinks in the hotel reception and check in was a quick and pleasant event. Door key and towel cards were issued with directions to our Jacuzzi Suite. The hotel porters collected our bags from the coach and as soon as the room tags were fixed to the cases and they carried them off on buggies to await our arrival at the room.

Jacuzzi Suite
The rooms were easy to find and well sign posted from reception, even at night with limited lighting we found our way with no problems. On arrival at the room the porter was waiting and swiftly delivered the bags to both suites, £5 tip was given as a thank you. The rooms were cool as the A/C was already on and the rooms were immaculately clean. Bath robes and slippers for the adult guests, the main bed room had a king size bed which was very comfortable, I did ask for additional pillows as the one supplied was very thin. The lounge had a double pull out bed and there were no complaints from the twins about the bed but when I lay down it was bumpy and hard, not suitable for adults in my opinion. There were ample towels in the bath room and the Jacuzzi bath was used once, the jets were harsh. The shower worked very well and maintained a good pressure and temperature at all times. Sky TV was available but hardly used as we used the rooms for sleeping and changing as there was so much to do. There was an electronic safe provided free of charger which was very simple to set up and use.

Resort
Immaculate, well laid out with clean wide paths. Gardens and greenery fantastic all the gardeners hard at work.

Pools
We were just about in the centre of the resort but assigned to the Orange side and used all restaurants and pools, Blue and Orange. We preferred the Orange side for the pools as there seemed to be less people and were quieter during the day with very easy access to the bar and snacks. The water slides were great for all the family and were open from 10-12am and 3-5pm. The pool and water were seen to be cleaned and checked every day and were warm to bathe, very relaxing. Sun beds were available all day and if you were not precious where you had to sit could enjoy a nice lie in till 9am, get breakfast and saunter down to the pool for 09:30 and still get beds together for a party of seven! I did see people reserving beds from 06:30!!!

The main Orange pool was closed on two occasions due to poo in the pool, first for two hours then for the whole day from 3pm.

Entertainment
Great, the FCA reps put a lot of effort into the entertainment and it was appreciated by our party. The program repeats every seven days so you can get to see all the shows in both theatres and all the pool bars. The Orange side bars gets very busy in the evening and tables and chairs become very scarce after the main shows finish at 10:30pm. My advice is go over to the Blue side bars where tables and chairs were always available, less than a 10 minute walk.

Restaurants
The food was great with plenty of variety at all sittings; I especially liked the BBQ service in the evening. There were always fresh items cooked in front of you and the staff were cleaning constantly from start to end of service. I have posted several small videos of the self service restaurants as this shows how good the restaurants are and better than I can describe them: 10/10

Conclusion
We had a fantastic time and recommend this resort to any body with a young family. We are already planning our return visit for next year!

Yes we were aware of the alleged issues, tummy bugs etc before we departed but we cannot fault the resort as we did not experience any sickness, stomach cramps or ear infections. All in all we had probably the best family holiday we have ever had!
