“Nice hotel, quiet, scenic location and lovely host”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 23, 2013

We stayed at the Filoxenia for 2 nights. Our room was spacious with a balcony offering stunning views over the bay and out to Amouliani Island. Breakfast was really nice and Effie, our host was really wonderful - she helped us to make a phone call and then took over and explained what we needed to the person we called in Greek.

My friends and I really liked our stay at Filoxenia. The hotel is really close to Ouranoupoli. It is located a bit on the hill, so from the main porch you can have a wonderful view while you have breakfast in the morning or just relax after a long day. Rooms are very clean, comfortable for a stay of a few days and all around a nice green yard. Parking is also not an issue. Efi, the nice woman in charge, is also very nice, helpful and caring of her guests.

We stayed in Filoxenia 2 nights during our road trip through Chalkidiki. The place is spotless, tastefully designed and has stunning views from some rooms. Efi and her father in law are amazing hosts and will help you out with whatever question you might have.
Also, not often mentioned is the tiny beach next to Filoxenia, which is really much prettier than the Ouranoupolis city beaches. Definitely worth a stroll down the stairs whnever you don't feel like going too far for a swim.

Room Tip: 19, 20, and 21 and guaranteed sea view.

2 of 5 stars Reviewed August 15, 2012

We booked for 2 nights a double room just after reading opinions on tripadvisor and visiting the web site of the hotel (where is mentioned 22 rooms with breathtaking view of the sea) ... We booked our rooms directly with the owner by email.
We had finally a view on a breathtaking view on the road and electric cables (room 15). Disappointed we tried to cancel it one hour after arriving as we found cheaper and better confort in another hotel closer to the center (there's a lot of rooms in Ouranoupoli).
It had been refused and we have been obliged to stay one night. So before booking please Check the room you will have. They are not all equal and the garden's ones seem to be nice. The hotel is very clean, breakfast can be improved (proposing fresh orange juice for example as it is more than common in Greece).

Extremely clean rooms. New air-conditioning units. Beautiful balconies with sea view. Staff are great and very helpful. Very quiet. We will recommend this place to anybody who likes nice and quiet vacation. I hope that we’ll come back here next year.

we prolonged 2 two nights our stay after checking in. It is quiet, relaxing place with wonderful view from the garden. People (a complete family) are nice and very professional. They sincerely care of you because they love their job. Rooms are recently renewed, location is perfect to spend days in all different beaches around the peninsula or taking the cruise to Athos monasteries. But, most of all, everything is extremely clean and smelling fresh, something not so usual in Greece.
Our holidays were great. Thank you very much!
