We stayed at La Confluence in June 2011 and was a most enjoyable visit. The small beautiful village of Candes St Martin is a delight. We have stayed in a number of cottages in rural France over many years and this is by far the best. It is superbly presented and fitted out, spotless and with lovely peaceful views where the two rivers, Loire and Vien, meet. The gite is free standing within the owner's property. James is a wonderful and discreet host and he and his wife are extremely welcoming.
We hope to visit the Loire again some time in the not too distant future and we would not consider staying anywhere else but La Confluence.
