Amazing location and great beach.

One of the best swimming experiences of my life!
The hotel it self is a well maintained property of middle size with many restaurants and bars, tavernas and hidden corners if you feel like spending some private time. The little hotel beach-bar right on the waterfront serves fresh salads and snacks and cool refreshments, especially needed under the sun! We really enjoyed that.

We stayed in a Double Room Sea View in the main building of the hotel for a week and enjoyed our time at the Alexander the Great Beach Hotel a lot. We booked with breakfast which was fine.

We strongly recommend this hotel for people who are looking the ultimate beach holiday and not for those orientated towards luxury.

All in all great location, great value, perfect vacation!

Room Tip: Definitely book a Sea View room, it will make your mornings so much nicer!

We spent a weekend there and we had our wedding ceremony. Everything was spot. We had around 50 guests and everyone was impressed by the hotel.
The live band was amazing. Food, drinks, staff, weather, everything was perfect.
We will comeback every year at this hotel.

We were two couples stayed between 11th-15th of septeber 2013. I would like to say, that hotel itself is well located with an amazing view an bech. On the other site is very, very old (needs some big reconstruction). The rooms in the main building were clean and with an amazing view. The staff are very friendly and always ready to help. The food of the Taverna was good and fresh. I would like to thank to the Lady from England ( very friendly always smiling and ready to help). The main restourant, sorry to say looks like one of those old canteens ( nothing to write home about it). Other wise we had a great time there... and we will come back.

P.S. When I am paying for WiFi, I would expect to have all around the hotel not only at the Reception and Main Restourant.

The location is gorgeous, the beach is very nice (some cigarettes here and there but ok overall). Good value for the money, but don't fool yourself with this 4 star rating, it should be 3. The food was the same all 7 days with minor changes of some dishes. Staff was relatively pleasant. Rooms outdated but clean.

After reading many negative reviews for this hotel, I was ready to cancel my reservation for a week during the summer and I am happy I didn't! Many people pay for a 3-star hotel, stay in a full-service 4-hotel and expect to enjoy the benefits of a 5-star hotel! Simply, comparison with neigbouring 5-star hotels with prices 5-6 times more, is at least unfair. I have been completely satisfied from my stay. First of all, the beach, which is for me the first consideration for summer holidays, was fantastic. Nice wide beach, almost 1-km long. with white, thin sand and clear blue waters. The working staff was very helpful and polite, and there was a feeling of freshness and cleanliness in all the spaces of the hotel. Food was always tasty and well-cooked. There were not many choices of dishes, but I prefer to choose between 5-10 delicious dishes than from one hundred moderate ones. The rooms were O.K., not very spacious, but quite comfortable, and ours had a sea view which was fantastic. Finally, the hotel had taverns, bars and other similar spaces very functional and cheap.
There were only a few cons. The bathing rooms need a renovation. Also, the umbrellas were not free, and it would be more convenient to increase somewhat the price of the rooms and offer free umbrellas and chairs, as occurs in most hotels. Regarding the food, the breakfast did not include ham or sausages, which are expected from most people, and there was a poor selection of desserts. Finally, a disadvantage of this hotel was the lack of satisfactory Internet connection. It seems that many hotel managers have not yet understood the need for wifi, since most customers have laptops, tablet PCs, or smart phones and even during vacations, there is always a need to receive mails. or to get information about the weather or the surrounding area. Unfortunately, there was not practically any signal of the hotel network in the rooms, and one had to pay for a connection near the reception, with poor results.

Room Tip: Ask a sea view room.

We have just came from what was supposed to be 5 days stay with my husband and little daughter. We usually visit Greece in May but we desided to have one last seaside vacation for the summer with the kid. The hotel seemed nice but what made us leave earlier was the awful food for breakfast and dinner as well as the extremely noisy room, actually it was the whole hotel part extremely noisy. Once our neighbours open the wardrobe door we can hear a rather awful sreaach in our room. The food was below the expectation of a homeless guy! Greece is famous for its sea food and here we could eat only spaghetti! For a family with a child it as very hard to choose what to give to my daughter, so we ate outside the hotel although we have paid for dinner.

We spent 1 week (13-20 July).
It's a big hotel with beautiful gardens. The beach in front of the hotel is amazing.
The breakfast and the dinner is very good, not something special but they are tasty.

The only problem is that they change the sheets and the towels every 3 days.

Room Tip: We stayed in room No. 427 and the view was amazing. Ask for a room with a sea view on the fourth o...
