“Hard to stay for the whole booked period....”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed September 10, 2013

We have just came from what was supposed to be 5 days stay with my husband and little daughter. We usually visit Greece in May but we desided to have one last seaside vacation for the summer with the kid. The hotel seemed nice but what made us leave earlier was the awful food for breakfast and dinner as well as the extremely noisy room, actually it was the whole hotel part extremely noisy. Once our neighbours open the wardrobe door we can hear a rather awful sreaach in our room. The food was below the expectation of a homeless guy! Greece is famous for its sea food and here we could eat only spaghetti! For a family with a child it as very hard to choose what to give to my daughter, so we ate outside the hotel although we have paid for dinner.

We spent 1 week (13-20 July).
It's a big hotel with beautiful gardens. The beach in front of the hotel is amazing.
The breakfast and the dinner is very good, not something special but they are tasty.

The only problem is that they change the sheets and the towels every 3 days.

Room Tip: We stayed in room No. 427 and the view was amazing. Ask for a room with a sea view on the fourth o...

I stayed in this hotel with my parents for 10 days and I must admit the service there is just brilliant. The working stuff is super lovely and helpful, especially two ladies on the reception. Further, the food is really delicious and good. Everyday there is something different and new, and the range of meals is quite wide, so everyone can choose whatever s/he likes. I really liked that there are many traditional Greek meals and products, so the guests have an opportunity to try something typical. I loved the room as well, I got lucky and had a room with the view on the sea. The room itself was quite nice and clean... The people working there always smile and are always there to help you : ). The hotel is super close to the beach, so it takes you 2 minutes to get there, or 1 minute if you are using the lift. Oh, I forgot to mention the gardens. The territory around the hotel is absolutely gorgeous! There are many flowers, palms and oh well, it is just beautiful.
My only problem was that there are no many clubs around, but it is quite perfect for a nice, relaxing family holiday anyways.

Reading reviews for this hotel, and staying in hotel 3 times in 3 years I established opinion about hotel, and reviews on this site. I finding that opinions obviously depend from two basic factors: place of accommodation and guest’s expectations. Most bad reviews are from guests who use “bungalows” which has spacious family rooms, big balconies, privacy, but are a old as hotel it self (which IS OLD). Other reason for bad reviews is too high expectation, especially for price which is a little lower than price on surrounding hotels.
So, if you have accommodation in main building (renovated part of hotel), pay reasonably price (no internet official price) which can provide most of tour operators, and don’t expect glamour which expect in 4 stars hotel in Thailand, you will be satisfied.
Why? First and more important: Hotel has best beach in area. Beach is long (as three surrounding hotels together), wide, with huge space between umbrella, with white sand in water and out water, with clean and clear water. Hotel is just over beach, so you need few minutes from your room to any point of beach. Hotel it self is small, with around 200 rooms, nice garden with old huge palm trees, tennis court, and football/basketball court, children playground, swimming pool with chairs and umbrellas, parking. Except main building and bungalows, hotel has few restaurants, tavern, and mini-market, all connected with some nice walking path between buildings and other places. Rooms in main building are renovated, and decent, with necessary amenities, air-conditioned. On half board you have unlimited quantities of food for breakfast and diner.
Mayor complains are: approximately 20% rooms (old bungalows) are lower quality. Avoid him or ask for replacement. In bathroom you have only soap, hairdryer, and some shower gel. Bring your cosmetic. Basic cleaning and maintenance is provided daily, and sheet and towel replacement on three days. Ask for replacement or thoroughly cleaning when needed and cleaning lady will comply. Furniture is functional, minimal, but boring; TV is old, small and with only few channels, but you can spend day on beach instead in room. Safe box is present in room, but you need to pay 1 euro per day for use, or don’t- hotel is very safe. On beach you need to pay to beach set 5-8 euros, depending on season, or better, take card for few days on reception, on half price. An umbrella looks cheap, but is very good with plastic surface which provide good cover. Chairs in one part of beach are hard plastic, but in other part is new, soft and very comfortable. Parking space can be rater annoying then problematic. If you return late on evening, probably can’t find place on parking, and must park on grass in garden. If want to go in some night life, you must use car, because hotel is 2.5 km from nearest village, and hotel is not connected to walking path which starts 400 meters from hotel. Price for internet is 5 Euro for 20 hrs use, which is with few hrs per day enough for staying. Problem is that hotel has wifi on two spots, and don’t have internet in rooms. At evening lobby is too small to accommodate all guests which use internet. On my opinion, internet in rooms is ONLY real improvement which is necessary for this hotel. Breakfast is poor by choice, but enough by quantity. Diner is just OK by quality and choice, and enough by quantity, but very unpleasant experience, mostly because of tight resources, and crowd make with hungry and angry guests.
So, can I recommend this hotel? Yes for price which is 25% lower than other similar class hotels, and for guests which don’t ask for glamour, only quiet vacation on awesome beach, with decent accommodation and food, in pleasant old hotel.
