“We liked our rest in the hotel "Kassandra Palace",”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 3 weeks ago

We liked our rest in the hotel "Kassandra Palace", because (the main +):
1)there was very clear water
2)there was very beautiful landscape
3)there was responsive hotel staff . We liked waiter Ivonna, because she was very kind
4)near "Kassandra Palace" there was a village , which is called Kriopigi
When we were there we went to the excursions which were conducted by Panaёtis Tsatsanidis. That excursions were very interesting.
So we liked our tour to Greece.

We spent a week there and eventhough it's not really along the beach, we enjoyed it : we had a car. FOr people not having one, they propose a shuttle to the sea and the village. the hotel is very quiet with a nice pool. the rooms are quite large and extra clean, with large bathroom. Breakfast buffet is simple but you can enjoy eating outside on the terrasse.

Room Tip: Ask for a sea view... eventhough far away the scenery opens up beautifully !

What a disappointment!! Choosing being in Greece at Kassandra peninsula, at the hotel with same name, at the top of the season and finding such a mess; has been very big sad surprise for us!! No attention at all to us and to what we had already booked. Staff from reception, restaurants and beach has been filling up with season workers, which indeed didn't pay attention to customers in professional way.
Receptions play a trick with us; giving fist a room total at the side of the hotel even we booked sea view room. After we decided leave from the hotel they gave another room; this time a sea side view!! On the other hand stuff had a poor English speaking communication. Hotel has been filling up with Russian speakers, but I think hotel took more reputation from them than the opposite.
Food was very low quality for breakfast. Sad seeing costumers who were filling up their bags will food for a day long for all family. We had BB and chose to have ala carte for lunch and dinner. First dinner at their ala carte restaurant has been really nice and we enjoyed this night with sea food. Looks this night hotel has been not in full capacity. But coming days stuff has been so less than couldn't find way serving normally. Even waiting exactly one one hour no one was coming asking. On lobby very rude blond girl couldn’t show any attention even asking her several times for service. At the beach a boy employ there as a guarder, occupies sun beds and was serving to people who pays cash in term of us that has paid included in our booking. Parking is a positive thing, space enough, well handled and saved as well.
Managing was on very low profile. Indeed manager is an able man on business, but this summer motivation has been out of his orbit. He got stuck in his office and probably the stuff that he had this summer didn't let him face with the customers. This summer we have been just numbers for them!!
SPA center and indoor pool makes the difference there. Still many things need to be improved, but stuff there it was helpful and working property with the job they have to do. Investment there makes also the difference with the hotel which immediately need a refurbishing otherwise never will be rated more that 3 stars. Hey in Greece weather was so great and nights fill up with stars. Looks easy there dreaming see some from those stars in the front door and this may by is the dream manager sees there.
We are missing only the bay and sea on the left side coast near to hotel beach zone!!
Personally will not be there for second time!!

I spend last summer at this disappointing hotel, overpriced seriously for nothing!
food was disgusting as well as the service. Management was poor with no attention to their clients. The only think worth it was the Greek weather...

The entrance is impressive, and checking in was easy. The carpets in the corridors of our floor looked dirty and tatty. They plan on refurbishing soon. The mattress was lumpy and the pillows did not really suit my personal preference. Average rooms. Bathroom had no hair conditioner or body cream, but had shower caps shampoo and shower gel. Breakfast was fine with quite a spread. We ate lunch in the fish tavern and it was fine but nothing to rave about. The gardens are lovely and probably great for couples with young children. The beach was well organised with loungers and umbrellas and the sea was so beautiful and clean that you could see right through to the bottom. Beach shoes that you can swim with are recommended as the entrance to the sea has little pebbles. It's sandy a little further out. In general I felt that the dining room staff should be better trained, and that the manager should get out of his office and have some contact with the guests. We were there for 5 days and never saw the manager of the hotel. Of course he might have been away but then I would expect someone to be filling in for him. The biggest issue was the wi-fi. It is weak all over the hotel and non-existent in the rooms. I was told they are working on this issue too.

We have just returned from Greece after a two weeks holiday at this hotel. It is rated as a 4star hotel, also according to the signs on the hotel entrance doors. reading the reviews on various websites we were a bit worried but hoped for the best and in the end we had a nice holiday.

Check in - we arrived at around 11am and were ready to go to the beach until the room would be ready at the stated check in time however the room was already available, we asked for a room on a higher floor and the girl at the reception did find one on the 2nd floor! we were helped to carry bags to our room (actually the guy managed to somehow take all of our bags, Fodis i think) and told us about the breakfast and dinner times, safe, spa, air-conditioning and so on, very helpful. we were told that just a small amount was already taken from the credit card and we could pay the rest either on the spot or later on (we ended up paying at check out along with the other expenses we have made). elevators are small, but there is one more on the right side from the entrance and the flight of stairs is also there if one gets impatient. when entering the lobby there was a string egg smell from breakfast i guess so my husband concluded that there is a problem with the ventilation (his professional area:)). it was also quite warm during meals, no AC i guess due to the open terraces.

Beach - clean and sandy with small pebbles, none of the horror we have read in the reviews. the part across the beach bar has no rocks when entering, only sand so perfect for kids and us adults playing ball in the water. the beach to the right from the beach bar has rocks when entering full of those needly sea creatures so be careful, but if you swim just a couple of meters you get again to sand. several rows of loungers, not cramped but not really enough of them. the hotel should consider adding more in the high season. people reserve them by placing towels at 6am i think:) but the beach staff (Jimmy?) removes towels if no one comes at 11 o'clock. 0the set of two sunbeds and the umbrella is 7eur. it was free fro us as we booked directly from the hotel's website (which also meant free access to the spa which is otherwise 10eur per person, and a fruit basket and bottle of greek wine in the room;)). generally the price we got was some 150eur cheaper than what booking.com was offering, plus the free spa/loungers/wine/fruit. you get beach towels in the room which are changed daily. the last few days there was some issue with the towels as neither beach towels nor regular towels were put in the room, probably a laundry problem:( calling the reception usually solved the problem. at the beach there are energetic young waters who ran around taking orders for snacks and drinks which you can charge to the room. wi-fi is available, same password for all territory. kudos to Jovan and NIna and Katerina and Dessi who never seemed to rest!:) there is also a pool above Amos tavena. several showers around, a playground fo kids, a table for pingpong. next to the playgroun you can rent a boat, jet ski and so on. the food and drinks at the beach bar are quite expensive so we saw people bringing drinks from the minimarket at Villa George (right handside from the beach). drinks are twice cheaper and they serve very good fried squid and octopus, loved having lunch there in our swimwear:) some people also choose to reny sun loungers there as it is 4eur per day.

Room - our room was in the main building, i am not sure whether it was deluxe as stated in our reservation as the check in form which we signed said just double :) but we had a sea view and balcony. decently sized room. the third bed was one of those campaign beds which made so much screeching noise each time our daughter moved that we did not sleep much the first night. in the morning we took off the mattress and put it on the floor and asked the reception to give us one more mattress on top of it which was done so good sleep was back. the mattress on the main bed was a bit strange but linen was clean and soft. pillows are too small:( AC worked fine, a bit noisy though. one bottle of free water was provided in the fridge at arrival. a safe deposit box available in the closet. nice bathroom, maybe missing a drape as water was all over the place after we showered:) free toiletries, room cleaned daily. just once it was not cleaned (on a sunday). maybe it was the day off:) the family suits in the building near by looked very nice and well kept.

Lobby - vast and somehow empty but with the best wi-fi connection:) a cocktail bar, you can charge to the room too. always at least 2 persons at the reception. lots of kids having fun as there is enough space for everyone:) in the basement is the miniclub, small shop, spa, a deserted pool table and deserted bar:) i think travel agencies also meet their clients there.

Parking - free guarded parking, not too many spots in the shade, green nicely cut grass and even a church.

Food- we were on half board and the very first night it was a Greek night, everyone greeted with ouzo:) also there was an italian night too:) everything is buffet style. for breakfast a lady is making omelettes, there are several versions of eggs and sausages, but all of them pork, PLS CONSIDER having breakfast meat options for those who do not eat pork. cheeses, pastry, yogurts, fruit and sparkling wine:) dinner - after several days it became a bit boring, the sweets are a disaster:) even on half board drinks must be paid separately, beware that a bottle of mineral water is 4,5eur! small 0,25 Cola is 3eur:) the staff is helpful. no one turned back men in shorts, too hot:) did not really understand the use of the girl who seemed to be helping people find seats as everyone in the end sit where they wanted:) maybe it makes sense for bigger groups of people.

hmm what else. the water was very clean and warm. no animation so it is very relaxing. 99% of people were there with kids. thessaloniki is just one hour away if you wish to go shopping. the village of kryopigi is a couple of kilometers away and Kostas tavern is a good place for lunch;)

thus all in all we had a relaxing holiday, no thrills, but it is probably what we needed:)

Room Tip: upper floors get better sea view above the hotel garden
