We were in the Kassandra Palace Hotel in July this year, two weeks. It was a holiday with two small children.
briefly my opinion of this hotel:
the average hotel, staff very rude and unservice, ok rooms, good new apartments, old apartments crap, solid food, a small beach and dirty, the average playground, pools good, hygiene should be improved ... In my opinion this hotel hardly deserves 3 stars.
The first disappointment was at the reception. We didn`t get the room we paid. Instead we got a very bad and old apartment in the old building of the resort. Three times we had to complain at the front desk staff. Receptionist first tried to convince us that this old apartment is actually executive rooms ?!? But he quickly realized that we make the difference between apartments and rooms, and know exactly what we paid. Then we get the answer that the hotel was full and no have the executive rooms. My husband has twice met with the hotel manager and he has promised new accommodation just for two - three days. It was very uncomfortable.
We had to call the agency in Serbia through which we paid an arrangement. Because of the inconvenience that we had the third day we got a new apartment - de lux. Nov quarters was beautiful and good, but not de lux. The executive rooms still had no more.... What a mistake the hotel. There were more families from Serbia who had the same problem.
The hotel has its own private beach, which is the biggest problem of this hotel. The beach is small and dirty. Also, there are not enough beach chairs and umbrellas for all guests. Horrors!!!
We had every morning around 7 hours to run on the beach and leaving towels. So if you are planning a holiday at this hotel get ready to fight for sun loungers on the beach. This is true for those who are all inclusive.
Since we had half board we had to pay 7 euros a day chairs. The sea has a lot of rocks in shallow waters, which is a big problem for young children. And there are plenty of sea urchins and the need for beach shoes.
Renovated rooms are ok. The problem is that maids clean the room after 14 hours, a time when it is resting in the room. A few days because our room was not cleaned.
Restaurant has no central air conditioning. Food is good, but could be better for a 4 star. Because of poor organization creates queues for food. Cutlery and glasses are not clean.
The hotel has two swimming pools located in a beautiful garden. The hotel has a playground for children, but it was not anything special. It is ready for renovation. Mini club is full of old toys and is very dirty. My children didn't enter inside.
We will never go at this hotel. Also, we shall never go on holiday to Halkidiki. This whole area is a great disappointment - undeveloped, empty, dirty ... There is no promenade, no port, no old city ... A real farm holiday.
Thessaloniki is just wonderful, and only worth it to see and visit. Other places, such as Kallithea, Hanioti, Polihrono, Pefkohori are typical of rural place with one fountain and lots of Chinese shops and equipment.
Overall, this hotel is a bad copy of any Turkish or Spanish resort hotel.
I was surprised so many satisfied Russians and Ukrainians ...
Go to the newer part of which are beautiful apartments, avoid the old part of the apartments that be...
