We booked this hotel based on the positive reviews on trip Advisor – we were not disappointed. The Achtis is a well designed, well built and a very well managed hotel. All of the front of house staff were superb. Worthy of particular note is the beautiful pool and garden area which we thought rated up there with the best.
The food menu in the hotel bar/restaurant is limited. Our experience was mixed … the evening dish of the day was always freshly prepared and very enjoyable, whereas some of the day time snacks were disappointing – the sound of a microwave when ordering a burger is not a good combination.
The only real disappointment was our initial room allocation (ground floor 107a) as the view was direct into the kitchen access area. Room 106a looked similar. All the other rooms appeared to have superb views of the pool and/or the sea. However, we immediately requested a move which luckily was possible. This critisism is directed at the brochures as to claim all rooms have pool view is at best marginal.
In summary a great choice hotel for couples looking for a relaxing pool/reading holiday.
