We ate at the Galera restaurant in June as a break from our usual restaurant next door. The restaurant was not excessively busy but it took time for a waiter to come to us and find a table indoors. We were given a menu and ordered our drinks. We waited a long time for both the drinks and the waiter to return. We ordered our food and reminded the waiter of the drinks. After various attempts to attract attention - all ignored - a waiter eventually came to us and impatiently said the food would be with us shortly - not waiting for us to say that we were actually asking if the drinks would appear soon. The food then arrived - still no drinks - which we had to again remind them about and again got a rather impatient and irritated response - and no apology. The food itself was decidedly mediocre with tough, rubbery calamari and lamb that was mainly gristle and bone. Throughout the waiters appeared more concerned with the customers outside on the promenade than those in the restaurant itself. We would not return again as this was by far the poorest meal we have ever had in Afitos - both in terms of service, courtesy and quality..
