we have just returned from three nights at this hotel it is fantastic! just 1 1/2 hours outsde athens by ferry to a beatifull island and a small friendly hotel overloking the sea and nearby island. the surrounding area is beautifull and very relaxing .the rooms have a small fridge and a balcony with table and chairs they are very clean and comfortable. the welcome we received from brian and all there was huge. brian collected us from the ferry welcomed us with an ice cold beer on that gorgeous terrace . we loved the atmosphere at the hotel and all of the surrounding area and we will be back as soon as we can go . this is probably the nicest place i have ever stayed and recommend it completly

Very welcoming and gracious family run hotel, comfortable, quiet, cozy room, beautiful view. Truly unique destination with a host that goes the extra hundred miles to make you feel welcome and part of his family (lovely wife and daughter). Wonderful experience! ;)

We have stayed at the Agistri Club every year since 2000. The best things about it are the view from the terrace, the food, the atmosphere, and the people you meet.

Owners Bryan & Harriet treat everyone like a friend and you find yourself striking up conversations with complete strangers making it ideal for single people as well as couples.

It is located at the end of a small road, about 10 minutes walk up hill from the port. Close by are small coves and a beautiful pebble beach with clear water, as well as tavernas. The rooms are generally small and cosy in traditional greek style; all have shower rooms, air con and balconies looking over the sea.

We just returned from a very relaxing stay at the Agistri Club Hotel. The weather was warm for late October with one or two spectacular storms ! Bryan and Harriet are the most congenial hosts who offer excellent food prepared with local ingredients of the utmost freshness. It was great to be offered such a fantastic choice of dishes each evening. The hotel is situated at the tip of the island and all the air conditioned rooms have a wonderful sea view. The windows have mesh screens so you can have them wide open during hot nights. The restaurant and bar is open air with some covered areas and is most pretty with wandering bougainvillea and lovely terracotta pots. The sea and neighbouring island views from the restaurant are superb - leisurely breakfasts were a joy. We explored the island and did numerous walks over the hill to the beaches on the other side. The hillsides and forests were dotted with hundreds of pink cyclamen, thyme and oregano and beautiful pine trees for shade when walking in hot weather. We did a great 12 km walk via Dragonhera beach then on to the village of Limenaria, past the quaint little church and stopping off for lunch at the only tavern in the village where the nice old couple are only too happy to cook you some fish and make a salad. From there a meander through the old village houses to Aponnisos walking through olive groves to the quaint little harbour and fish restaurant. If you are feeling lazy you can relax with a book at the little beach which is accessible via the easy steps at the side of the Agistri Club. The sea is crystal clear and a beautiful azure blue with great snorkelling around the rocks. We had trips to Aegina Island - a 9 minute boat ride, to visit the Sanctuary of Aphaia and an overnight stop in Athens to visit the Acropolis and other sites. We used ferry and metro and found them easy and cheap - so if you have the time you don't always need to use taxis. If you choose the Agistri Club - you will not be disappointed !
