“Great little museum”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 12, 2013

at 4 Euros and not much to see from the doorway, it looks like it's going to be a rip off but it certainly isn't! It's like a tardis, there is so much inside!

“Worth a visit”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 13, 2013

This is a small little place in the midst of all shopping. You will not notice the place even if you stand in front of it. But one thing for sure, it is a painstaking effort to put together such a wonderful history of Aegean shipping. The museum is neatly organised, arranged in the order of events. Miniature model-ships look very neat. A lot has been spent to acquire the artefacts. Priceless for somebody who is interested in maritime history, though restricted to Greek history. There is an actual lighthouse in the backyard, which makes it even interesting. The entry fee is EUR4 which I thought was on the higher side, but of course, you cannot fix a price for the efforts to restore history..

The collections of old maps was superb. Also many documents illuminating the history of Mykonos. Ship models as well. Lovely garden with cute kitten.

“Nice little museum”

If you are interested in maritime history, you would enjoy this place. It is small and costs about 4 Euro, but i learned a lot during our visit. Be sure to go out back and see the lighthouse.
