A small beautiful hotel where the owners make you feel at home. What we liked most about the hotel is the warmth it exuded. Giannis and his family go out of their way to make sure you are comfortable... We were offered lunch upon our late afternoon arrival which we relished as this was our first home cooked meal after two weeks of living out of a suitcase.
Location --The hotel is a seven minute walk to Mykonos town. There is a bus stop few paces from the hotel with a frequent bus service to all the beaches. There's also a supermarket right next to it. The hotel is only a 5-10 min drive to the port & airport and for a nominal cost of 5 euros per person Giannis can offer you a pick up & drop.
The only downside about our stay was that the air conditioning kept shutting off on its own (not on timer mode) but nothing serious enough to complain about. We also felt a bit overcharged for the lunch we had on our arrival - A plate of rice and a beef patty minus a side order or drinks was around 23 euros for 2 pax. A bit steep.. so it's best to check the rates first.
Overall -- With the exorbitant hotel prices in Mykonos we were pleasantly surprised with the cheap room rates Sourmeli has to offer. This garden hotel is one of the best in Mykonos simply because of its hospitality and the feeling of being at home when you are away from home :))
