We stayed at Charissi, and I must take my hat off to the staff at the hotel. The room was clean and had a nice view and very centrally located, but moreover, the staff went over and above what was necessary to make our trip special. When we were hungry late at night, they prepared food for us. Because I had forgotten my converter, the proprietor gave me hers! It was a first rate converter, and I have yet to find another like it. She wouldn't take money for it, either. They offered to drive us whenever we asked about directions, and they provided transportation to and from the dock. If you're looking for a very reasonable rate, and top notch service, I very highly recommend Charissi Hotel.

Now that Mykonos has been overrun by cruise ship visitors and has an almost "Disneyland" feel to it with regards to it being a "perfect" Greek island, this gem of a hotel was a great find. And it's mainly thanks to Dimitra, her sister and their amazingly kind parents. Nothing was a great drama for them. They collected us from the ferry (it was late) they took our luggage back to the port in the middle of the afternoon, so we could spend the morning in Mykonos and not have to return to the hotel and the whole family served the most delicious home made breakfasts with enthusiasm and little stress. Breakfasts were fulsome, (great cake and home made jam) and generous.

Rooms were cleaned daily, towels changed and there was plenty of space in the room. Wireless connection good. Despite the hotel being a 15 minute walk into town along the road that goes to the main beaches, this didn't bother us as the exercise was good before and after dinner after all that sunbathing and eating. People who don't want to walk can always rent a car/motorbike. (Good luck) or learn to love walking. Recommended.

Beautiful place very close to the Mikonos center. The Hotel is rally nice, the owners are a kindly family. The mother every day prepare the cake homemade, marmelade.. We spend one hour only for a breakfast!! The Rome are very clear, and they change the towels every days.
The father pick up u at the airport and make you feel instantly immersed in the holiday.the prices are not high and it is like being at home!recommend this Hotel to everyone! suitable forfriends and couples as well as families.

This property is in a relatively good location, away from the centre and the noise. You do however require transport to take you to any destination. Distances are not so prohibitive to walk but the road safety is. A supermarket is within a minute's walk. Breakfast is simple with good serving hours. The rooms are adequate and the air condition was working well. Cleanliness is not an issue to worry about. The property is owner runned. Polite people willing to go the extra mile if necessary. Wonderful views from some of the rooms. Finally on prices, whether this hotel is of good value or not, depends on what someone has paid for it.

The hosts are what make this little B&B worth a stay. While the location was not in our minds convinient unless you have rented a motor vehicle (many rent a vespa or ATV or a car), the hosts go out of their way for you. They are like your little advocates. The room we stayed in was very clean and the palce itself was quaint, cute and just what you need. Breakfast is pretty good, the Spanikopita was my favorite. It is difficult to walk on the streets of Mykonos so getting to the beaches and clubs is doable through a bus system or taxis. Keep in mind there are 28 taxis on the entire island so start calling about an hour ahead of when you need one. One of the days we went out to Panormos beach and had to call back to Charissi to get us a cab which they did willingly. They also picked us up free of charge from the airport which was really nice. The only complaint I had here were some of the towels we got were a little dry and felt sort of like sand paper but the next day we got much better ones and the shower is only a detachable head that sits at about hip level. Oh and there is no air conditioning that we noticed so it got a little warm at night. But they are really nice hosts here and love their guests. One tip here is to get an ocean facing room the ocean view is beautiful.

Room Tip: Sea facing room is a must!

I have travelled a great deal in my days. From backpacking to uber hotels with hotel staff straight out of GQ wearing matching shirts and boat shoes. Hotel Charissi was one of the most lovely experiences i have had in a hotel period. This comes down to the warmth of the family running the place. The daughter, Dimitra, with perfect english was sooo helpful from helping book flights, ferries, diving, scooter etc etc. While her parents dont speak english so well, they arrest you with their charm from when they pick you up at the airport to serving you homemade yoghurt with breakfast to seeing you off at the airport with a warm goodbye. They invite you into their hotel with the beautiful views but you feel you get a whole lot more for not much cost. I did and it really rounded my experience on beautiful Mykanos.

Room Tip: I like the upper floor as there are wonderful views of the sea

We stayed at Charissi on the first night of our holiday before visiting a couple of other islands and we returned for our last night.

The hotel is in a decent spot, being within walkin distance of Mykonos town and it was immaculately kept. But what set this hotel apart for me was the hosts. They are a warm and friendly family and nothing was too much trouble. We had a good sized room with plenty of space for 2 adults and our 2 young children.

Overall it had everything we needed for a good price. I'll definitely stay there again if we return to Mykonos.
