“Amazing, Will be back.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 21, 2013

Stayed at the A Hotel for 11 nights and all I have to say is AMAZING. Throughout are stay the family was very warm and welcoming, nothing was ever too much trouble. Any questions we had Sofia and her husband where always willing to help and too give us a lift when we needed. The location was perfect and the rooms were very clean and cosy. I want to thank them all for such an amazing time, sunbathing and relaxing. Thanks guys

Some of the staff were really nice - especially the young driver and a lady around the bar / pool area who helped me to wipe the rain from the sun beds ,but, we detected some stress in the sharp manner of one in particular, rarely experienced in over 30 years of Greek holidays,We booked the hotel based on the excellent reviews and although agree that the gardens and pool area are pretty we wouldn't return. Small point perhaps but didn't think that orange squash instead of orange juice at breakfast is acceptable for a hotel of this standard, I found the bed too hard but my husband was fine with it, not keen on the dark wood ceiling - made it difficult to spot the mosquitoes!

Stayed at The A Hotel last week (Jun 4-11). We had the Jr Suite booked by got upgraded to the Premium suite for free. Lovely fresh, modern deco exactly how it looks in the pictures. Very clean. Couldn't have been happier with the room. Breakfast was pretty good and we also ate lunch there a few times and that was good. Pool area was also really nice, good comfortable sun loungers.

Staff were lovely. Sofia and her husband were very friendly and helpful. Hotel offers free shuttle bus into town through out the day (by request in the daytime, set times in the evening). Only minus is that its a 20 min walk from the hotel into the town. Its a doable (we did it one day) but its uphill coming back so most days we opted for a taxi back (€5) as the shuttle service ends at 10:00, although they did say as they move into July/Aug the last shuttle goes to 11 and then 12 midnight.

Overall, I would definately recommend the hotel and will be (hopefully) back soon myself!

Room Tip: Suites are lovely and I would definately opt for those if your budget allows.

This hotelin the beautiful island of Mykonos is a real gem. Its owners, Sofia and her husband, made from the same arrival very pleasant experience. The hotel has many rooms spread over areas separated by corridors with green vegetation.

Pisicina area is a nice place, perfect for sunbathing, take a swim or just relax. Adjacent to the swimming pool is the dining room serving breakfast, which was included in the room rate. I must say that is a pretty good breakfast with hot and cold food, good selection of breads and pastries, fruit, etc..

The rooms are asigned, depending on the price you paid, There are suites with balconies overlooking the pool, which are very large, modern, spacious. Our room, number 16, is pretty good. Comfortable, good bed, very clean, good bathroom, air conditioning worked perfectly, wifi ok.

The service staff is extraordinary. From the very first moment that they picked you up at the port / airport, they make you feel at home. The recommendations of places to go to dinner, beaches to visit, were also very useful.

As for as transported around the island, it is necessary to rent a bike, quad or a car. Sofia helped us finding a rental. Also you can move using bus, or the hotel has a small bus that makes daily runs at certain times from the hotel to the center of Chora. Walking from the hotel to downtown is an option, it will takes 15-20 minutes.. A taxi from downtown to the hotel charges you 5-6 euros.

Beaches that i find very nices were elia, paradise and superparadise (last two are more party style)

In conclusion, I highly recommend this hotel. In our next trip we will stay again in The A Hotel by mykonos.

My husband and I stayed in the Arhontiko Hotel on two separate occasions in 2012.
We received a very warm welcome and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The owners were always very helpful to their guests and provided lifts into Mykonos Town whenever needed without even being asked. Our room was spotlessly clean and had its own courtyard garden with beautiful flowering shrubs. We will definitely stay there when we next visit Mykonos

My husband and I and our two daughters (age 9 & 5) stayed at the Arhontiko on the 27th April, 2013 for 4 nights. We payed for 3 and the 4th was offered. We were met at the airport and quickly arrived at the hotel where we immediately felt at home. Our room was a family room (Grande Suite) which was not only really beautiful, impeccably furnished and clean but also enormous. We arrived in the evening and didn't feel much like moving, so we ate at the hotel and the food was perfect. It all felt a bit dreamy, sitting by a fantastic swimming pool, eating delicious food in a place we had never traveled to before. That feeling lasted the whole time we were there. It is a family run hotel and Sofia, Takis, Vaso and Kostas were always there for us and really delightful to get know. It was impressive watching a family working in harmony and building a great business together. The decor of the hotel is stunning and Sofia's choices in room design makes it a real treat to stay there. The location of the hotel means that you have to travel into Mykonos Town by car. Someone from the hotel happily took us whenever we wanted to head out and despite them being more than happy to come and pick us up, we always took a cab home which cost about 5 euros. Proximity to town is great and the fact that the hotel sits away from town means that there is more space available for them to build a spacious yet intimate establishment. Breakfasts were extraordinarily good and incredibly generous and varied everyday. Every member of staff we met at the hotel were really lovely and eager to talk to us. We were even driven by Takis the the 2nd hotel that we had booked. All in all it was a perfect stay and we would love to return one day in the future.

Room Tip: The Grande Suite was perfect with children. The best family room I have ever stayed in.

Wow what a gem we found when booking our first holiday in Mykonos. As a family run hotel the service we received form being met at the airport to leaving for home was excellent. The rooms are very nicely furnished with clean towels everyday, breakfast served from till 10.30 with a lovely supply of home made cakes, The pool area is excellent even having a hot tub. Although located slightly out of the main town area do not let this put you off as the family do provide a shuttle service to the town, On our first day Spiros took us to the area where you can walk into the main town area. We walked into town on a couple of occasions and it took around 15 minutes. However we did not walk back as did not want to venture up the hills and on the lanes which were dark, a taxi home cost 5 euros. The hotel is undergoing refurbishment in the reception area and once completed will be breathtaking. On site wifi room, childrens play area, simple but very pleasing dining area and outside eating area. Did not want to come home as the family are so friendly and nothing is too much trouble, if there is something you need just ask as they are more than happy to oblige. Had I not got other holidays booked for the year I would have been going back. It is now on my return list for next year
