“Romantic and absolutely beautiful”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 7, 2009

We stayed at vencia hotel for 3 nights, loved it and had absolutely no regrets. Stayed in a superior double room with seaview facing. We loved the room, quiet, spacious with cosy decor. The hosts were very approachable, always ready to recommend good food and sights. It's only a short walk from town. Buffet breakfast and the fantastic dinner were one of the highlights, esp when the view from the dining place is amazing. Definitely a great place to relax, watch sunset and appreciate the unique beauty of mykonos!

As part of our honeymoon in Greece, we visited the fantastic island of Mykonos for three days. We stayed in a junior suite at the family-owned Vencia hotel, overlooking the infinity pool and the Aegean sea. It was very romantic for us to just sit on our balcony at night and look into the distance at the cruise ships far away and the quiet lit-up pool area. Occasionally, we would hear cars/motorcycles driving up the hill 30 feet away but it never bothered us.

Vencia was the perfect place for our honeymoon. It is close enough to Mykonos Town and yet far away from the hustle bustle of the main area. We were able to maintain our privacy and enjoyed the peace and quietness. The staff/family was fantastic and very helpful in meeting EVERY guest's needs. We got a ride from Tony the moment we stepped onto the island via ferry and he drove up the small hill to the hotel. Stella was great in giving travel advice at the desk. The hotel restaurant stays open until late (around 11PM) and there were quite a few times when we were hungry and had to order food at 10:55pm, and the wonderful people there were more happy to cook us up some late night yummy grub!

The pool was very large, although the water was cold. We were able to lie around the pool for a great sun tan without much problems. The hotel provides pool towels (from the restaurant area) that are great for lounging and suntanning.

Since it was already October, it is "down season" in Mykonos, but the island and the hotel are still filled with visitors. I wonder how busy the Greek isles are during the summer months and don't know if I want to find out!! October is a perfect time to visit IMO. The temperature was warm, with a light breeze at night, but very comfortable.

The complementary breakfast was great and delicious. It filled our stomachs before we venture out to explore the riches of Mykonos. The beaches were fantastic, and the sunshine was great even in October. We took a dingy from Platys Gialos to several of the nearby beaches in the southern coast of the island and settled on Superparadise beach. It was quiet and private at that time of the year, which is just fine for us honeymooners!! It was as if we had our OWN private beach.

We rented a 4x4 ATV to drive around the island for fun. It was inexpensive and interesting. However, keep in mind that Mykonos Town (the old touristy area) is not accessible by motor vehicles, so you have to park your cars/bikes/mopeds/ATVs outside the Mykonos Town and walk through the small traditional paths into town.

My husband and I stayed at the Vencia for 3 nights out of our 9 night Greek honeymoon. The Vencia was amazing. We were impressed with everything! The cleanliness was impeccable. The grounds were beautiful with amazing views overlooking Mykonos Town. The breakfast was great (buffet style) and served in a beautiful setting. We also ordered a few meals from their full-service in-house restaurant during our stay and were very impressed with everything we tried. The staff is very friendly and warm...speak great english and made us feel so welcome. They were happy to give us directions to anywhere we needed to go and also offered to arrange for our quad rental and Delos excursion. The room we stayed in was very spacious with a great balcony and updated bathroom. Someone obviously took great care in deciding on the furniture and decor of the Vencia. The only small negative I can think of was the bed was a bit firm for my taste, but I would also add that anyone who is considering staying at the Vencia will NOT be disappointed. Thank you Stella, Anthony, Yannis and Akies for a wonderful time! If we are ever lucky enough to return to Mykonos we would love to stay at the Vencia again!

Also- be aware that the Vencia sits above Mykonos Town, so it is about a 5-10 minute walk from the hotel to the harbor and this includes steps. It is not too strenuous, but you will breathe a little harder and may have to take a break half way up the stairs if you are anything like me!

i cant believe i forgot to write a review on the vencia when i came back from our vacation in the summer!
We are greek ourselves and are seasoned travellers to many of the islands but this was our first time on mykonos.
the hotel vencia is approx 10 minutes taxi from the airport.
on arrival we were greeted with a genuine welcoming face from stella where we were informed about the facilities and any info we might require.
our room had a beautiful view of the town and was spotlessly clean( i am OCD with cleanliness !!!)
BIBI the waitress always greeted us with a smile at breakfast and we used the hotel shuttle to the beaches.
many of the reviews mention the dreaded "walk".
My wife and I are late thirties and me forty so no spring chickens! however the 10 minute walk down and fifteen minute walk up! became an event and part of our holiday. infact we didnt feel guilty gorging on the excellent food in town as we knew we would work it off with our ascent back to the vencia!
ok food.... for a cheap but excellent fast food....forget the much hyped jimmys kebabs but try sakis (just as u desend the steps into mykons)
for taverna food try nikos tavern but even better joannas nikos tavern ( a five minute walk from mykonos town)
for a treat try one of the reataurants by hotel philiipi
forget nammos unless you are into pretenciosness!
i am ashamed to say that most greeks still use "its not what you know but who you know "policy; so if your a greek celebrity the red carpet will be laid out for you in such establishments like nammos. for us mere mortals you either need to plead or flash some cash to get a table that is not in the toilets somewhere...not my style...!
however dont let me put you off..try it, things might be different out of season.
the best beach for us was paranga ( a little posey but not too much) and ornos for a more sedate laze.
back to the vencia.... we would definately return and would like to thank all the staff from housekeeping to management for a wonderful experience.

My husband and I went to Greece for our honeymoon. We stayed in Athens, then Mykonos, then Santorini. The best part of our trip was by far our stay at this hotel. From the minute we got there to the time we left, everything was perfect. The staff was incredible...so friendly and helpful. We never wanted for anything. Stella was wonderful and we also loved Ninda, our waitress for most meals. She was so friendly and always went above and beyond to make our stay memorable. When we arrived, there was a special dessert waiting for us in our fridge...and when we had our last meal at the restaurant, we were given another dessert similar to that, free of charge. So sweet.

We also loved the pool - couldn't have asked for a better view! The first two days of our visit, we never even left the pool. We ordered food there, had drinks there and stayed in our chairs, relaxing, until sun down. It was wonderful! Our only regret is that we didn't stay longer. We both agreed we could have stayed there the entire honeymoon!!!

Don't stay anywhere else...stay here and you'll leave with the best memories possible. We can't wait to go back someday!!!

All the best is the word to describe this hotel. Vencia boutique hotel has a good location, in the center and within walking distance only 5-10 minutes. Our room is comfortable and clean with a spectacular view overlooking aegean sea from terrace. We like to watch the sunset scene from it, such a great moment!!!. Moreover, the owner and staff are nice and helpful, they are adorable. So, we would recommend Vencia boutique resort if you want to stay @ mykonos with unforgettable holiday.

The staff are friendly and enthusiastic, the swiming pool has a good view of the town, windmill and the sea. The seafood-assorted is very delicious, and enough for 2 persons. The hotel beside the Mykonos town, a little far from the center of town, but it's nothing compared with above advantages.
