“Wonderful Mykonos Hotel”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 16, 2013

The Vencia is a wonderful hotel in Mykonos. It has wonderful views of the town and the ocean with a great place to watch the sun set. The food is great and the service even better. They treat you like royalty and always went the extra mile. I will definitely be back for a second stay.

Great hotel that has got all the basics right that we wanted:
-very friendly but not intrusive staff in both the reception, housekeeping, restaurant and pool
-fast & free wifi throughout the hotel
-spacious room with large terrace bathroom with good rain shower, laptop safe and fridge
-excellent location for visiting the town
-almost no small kids around
-very nice (& cold!) pool with fabulous (sunset) views

Sure, the room itself did not give us a 'wow' factor but was very satisfactory.

Had a great relaxing week at Vencia!

After my experience at the Vencia hotel I've decided that I will come back to Mykonos regularly and will love to be at the Vencia again! It's set high up on a hill with a truly breathtaking view and wonderful staff. Very charming!

We booked to stay 4 nights at the Vencia Mykonos after staying the previous year. We booked the Sea View Room and were given the same room as last year (Room 123). We were picked up at the airport upon arrival, and welcomed warmly by Stella and her team at reception. The room was not quite ready yet so we took the short 5-10 minute walk down the hill to the town and grabbed a 2.50 Euro Gyros for lunch.

The room itself is very warm and comfortable, and has a very Mykonos feel. The windows in our room were very thin, but you could see the ocean, and we also had a private terrace with sweeping views. Upon observing the room next door to ours i will be sure to ask for that one next time (Room 124) as it had big wide panoramic windows.

The breakfast is great. The cocktails at the pool bar are delicious, particularly the Mojito. The pool is amazing and the view is no doubt the best in town. The two resident cats are also very cute, one three legged ginger who was just a small kitten last year, and Mojo - a cheeky black and white who is a new edition. They have updated their internet this year so that it is available throughout all the rooms wirelessly (although at times was very slow).

You cannot fault this hotel, it is effortlessly peaceful and I wouldn't choose anywhere else if in Mykonos.

Room Tip: Room 123 & 124

A hotel is nothing if the service is terrible. From the first moment you feel like in home on this hotel. Stella from the reservations department is wonderful (if she reads this review, a lot of greetings to her) We booked the sunset table for the best sunset in Mykonos. We had a minor problem at the dinner because the entries took to long but they explained to us and after that they behaved more than ok: they exceed our expectations and they did everything to make us forget that litte inconvenient. The hotel is located on little a hill but is just 10 minutes far away from Mykonos´ main attraction. The pool, the decoration of the rooms and the hotel itself are beautiful. I hope to come back very soon

I really cannot say enough about the beauty of the view you will have with a seaside room at Vencia. The sunsets are breathtaking. The pool is gorgeous. Mykonos Town shines from your balcony. We will definitely stay at Vencia again when we go back to Mykonos!

Denise and Margaret from the front desk were so kind and helpful. They answered every question, and found us the type car we wanted to rent so quickly! My husband and I were on our honeymoon, and they sweetly upgraded us to the Superior Suite for one night of our four-night stay. It was gorgeous, but so was our Seaside View room. The bed was very comfortable (firm, but I like that); the decorations are neutral, soft, soothing colors; the balcony provided the perfect view of the sunset each evening. As other reviews have said, it is a walk down to Mykonos Town, but my husband and I didn't mind at all. We aren't that much for late, late night activities though.

The pool - WOW! We were there in early June - so I am sure it would be more crowded later in the season - but each couple or group at the pool had super comfortable and beautiful furniture in which to relax and soak up the sun or get a tan. And Dimitrov, the pool bartender - you must try his North Sea Breeze!! I know everyone raves about the mojitos, so definitely try one of those, but also order a North Sea Breeze for me! Yum!!! His music choices are also great!

The onsite restaurant, Karavaki, is so good! I highly recommend making reservations for the sunset table. Nita, our waitress, was amazing and so friendly. She made great suggestions and even gave us two glasses of free champagne in celebration of our honeymoon. Over the course of our stay, we had two dinners and two lunches at Karavaki. That should tell you how much we enjoyed it. I suggest the king crab linguini (check out my picture).

We had an amazing stay, and I look forward to going back!

Room Tip: Seaside view rooms are 100% worth the little extra bit of money. You get the sunsets, overlook the p...

Regular at the Vencia these days having been to stay here most years since 2008. This year they have invested in the pool area with new furniture and a new sun terrace and a job well done too. The staff are very welcoming and always helpful, I can see why the Hotel is now so highly rated. We stayed for 2 weeks for this time and it was very relaxing.
