It was our first visit in Mykonos and in Alkyon hotel and it will not be our last one.We went there to celebrate our 10 years anniversary and we were treated like a part of their family.Everything was so nice.Our room was refurbished with a nice balcony with stunning views of the sea and the sunset.Reception was amazing decorated with classic furniture.Pool was large enough with quiet few sunbeds and umbrellas.We really like the hotel and the service so we will not consider staying anywhere else whenever we are in Mykonos again.

Hands down best place we stayed in while in Greece. Gorgeous setting, spotlessly clean rooms, lovely pool and great breakfasts. Sophia was so friendly and helpful and accommodating . We would only stay here again if we return to Mykonos

We had a recent 3 night stay in this great value hotel. The hotel itself is reasonably basic although has stunning views of Mykonos town and the sunset in the evening. Most rooms appeared to have a large terrace area and our room was fully air-conditioned and had a fridge. The reception area is beautifully decorated which has a lovely terrace outside to enjoy the sunset with a nice glass of wine. Service was helpful and friendly from pick up to drop off. Sophia arranged our Delos trip for us (40 euros each which included ferry, entrance and 1 hour group guide). You can easily arrange your own trip to Delos yourself which costs 17 euro by ferry and 5 or 10 euro entrance but not sure how you get an independent guided tour. We enjoyed the group tour as part of our package. Sophia also organised our quad bike hire (17, 20 or 22 euros per bike, per day depending on the actual bike).

The walk into town takes approx 10 minutes and isn't the prettiest - you have some steps which need some attention and there is a fair amount of rubbish and overgrown plants along the way. The particular low point is bending down and walking underneath a small underpass which didn’t smell too pleasant. We never walked this in the dark but would not recommend it. You can walk down by the road but this takes a little longer and is a bit tight in some places for cars to pass. Taxis are good value and cost from 3.50 to 5 euro coming back from town and 7 euros to be picked up and taken into town so this worked out more preferable for us.

All in all we had a great time and would recommend

We stayed at Alkyon for four nights in July. We were travelling on a budget so we stayed in a 'Mountain View Room' which was perfect for us. It was a very nice room and more affordable than the Oceanview rooms. The hotel itself is a really beautiful boutique hotel. The reception/bar area is beautifully decorated, the pool and pool bar is a great place to relax during the day. The staff were very nice and provided us with free rides to and from the hotel. The location was good as well, a short walk down to the centre of Mykonos town. We got a bit lost coming back at night a few times, but once you get the hang of it it's not too bad. It is quite a steep walk back up though -- but this allows for the great view! There are beautiful views from almost everywhere in the hotel (see my pictures!). The breakfast was nice, a good spread of options including hot breakfast (eggs, bacon, etc.) along with the usual continental breakfast. The hotel staff also helped us to rent an ATV one day to travel to Elia Beach. Overall we would definitely recommend staying here. It is a beautiful hotel in a really relaxing spot.

This is an EXCELLENT hotel - feels like 5 stars. It is boutique so the customer service is absolutely superb. The towels are big and soft, the rooms are HUGE, I was given a king bed and was travelling solo! The rooms have flatscreens and then two long french doors facing the sea that you open in the morning and can sit on your own balcony looking out. The pool is absolutely stunning beyond words. It is long and VERY relaxing to sit next to and just beautiful, the way the pool area is set up it almost feels like an infiniti pool (even though its not) because they were very smart in design and 'tiered' the pool area. The pictures really show how gorgeous this is. There is relaxing beautiful and chilled out music that is played in the pool area, the lounge chairs have big comfy cushions.

Also - it is STILL hot in mykonos end of sept until about mid/late October - so go go go now!

You could easily spend all day chilling at the hotel and taking in the phenomenal view over mykonos town and listening to music and enjoying a cocktail (there is a great poolside bar) or you can explore the island.
I would reccommend giving mykonos AT LEAST 3 full days. seriously. the island has so much to offer.
Everything at this hotel is luxurious with a really smart attention to detail.
10 minutes walk downhill - actually less than that, you are in town- perfect!
so you can escape the 'party atmosphere' and sleep in a little -spa-like hotel, or just walk to the parties.
The breakfast is also huge and again, you have this stunning view.

Would reccommend you contact alkyon directly / sofia when you book as it may look like they are 'sold out' on booking.com, but they in fact may have a room available.

Sofia is phenomenal - she gives excellent customer service and thinks of everything, you get reccomendations of where to go, which beaches are quiet , which are parties, best restaurants, and EVEN the time table of the buses! That is attention to detail!!
YOu are picked up from port or airport and driven to the hotel - they REALLY just take care of you and your every need.
If you need a scooter or car she can arrange it and she gets THE BEST rates, other places were quoting me much higher than her price. She is honest, very sweet, and extremely knowledgable and the entire staff really wants you to have a good time.
Location and view could not get any better.
Pool = stunning.
customer service = impeccable.
You pay the same price, well, even more, to stay IN the town with no pool or ambiance and no breakfast or transfers.
Rooms = huge and so comfortable and inviting
Value = unbeatable.
Cannot say enough good things. This place is a steal and excellent value. They will set you up and take care of you so that everything you want to see and do in Mykonos - you can.
Highly recommend it. and again, give it at least 3 nts and 3 days. Mykonos is a special island.

We stayed at the Alkyon for 3 nights. We had a great experience. They picked us up from the airport for free (with a short delay). The lobby was beatiful!!! Our room did not have a veiw but it was spacious and clean. And the minute we stepped out of the room, we were faced with an amazing view. The breakfast location was beautiful and the breakfast was fine too. The owner's daughter, Sophie, was lovely and helpful. The location was GREAT because situated on a small hill where you could see all of Mykonos Town and the beatiful sea but only a 10 min. walk to the town. Overall, loved it and thought it was of GREAT value. I would defintely go back :)
