“Great place to stay!”

Myconian K Hotel

Jun 27, 2008

My daughter and I just returned from a 15 day trip to the Greece, staying in Athens, Mykonos, Santorini, & Crete.
Our stay in Mykonos at the K Hotel was wonderful and refreshing. We were in room 409, which has an awesome view of the sea. The accomodations were fairly simple, but neat and clean. The staff could not be more friendly and willing to meet your every need. The hotel does not charge for phone useage when using a calling card (as we found that all others we stayed in on our trip did), and they also can provide you with the electrical adapter. They also have a very nice pool area.
Our first evening we ate supper in the hotel restaurant. The food and service were wonderful ,and watching the beautiful sunset was almost more than I could imagine. The beauty of God's handiwork was simply amazing!
We visited Little Venice and enjoyed shopping in the many shops. Prices are very reasonable here. If you need internet access, go to Angelo's. Look for signs...it's easy to find. By the way, K Hotels are at a higher elevation, so going to Little Venice is all down hill. :) Be ready for that uphill climb back to the hotel. The scenery makes it worth the walk. Also, on your way from the hotel to Little Venice, there is a little mini mart at the corner where you can purchase a phone card that is 5 euro for 2 hours. Good deal! It can be used at pay phones, or your hotel phone. Maybe cell phones-I don't know as we had no cell phone service in Greece.
A great place to eat is Spilia. It is also down in Little Venice. They have good food and are very reasonably priced.

“A wonderful hotel with exceptionally friendly staff”

Myconian K Hotel

Jun 17, 2008

We recently stayed at the Myconian K Hotel and had a wonderful relaxing stay. We were picked up from the port which was a great bonus and our hotel room had beautiful sea views. The rooms were cleaned daily at our convenience which was excellent as Mykonos nightlife is hectic! Breakfast runs until 10.30am and the waiting staff were always in good form. We sampled the Spa on our last evening and were kicking ourselves for not availing of it sooner, very nice. Yes it is a little walk into the town but the stunning views and sunsets were worth every little trek :) The reception staff were very welcoming and went out of their way to ensure that we enjoyed our stay. Overall I would have no hesitation in recommending this hotel.
Enjoy :)

Mykonos was our first stop on the greek Islands and we made a lot of research on the internet before booking.

The K-Hotels are outside Chora (Mykonos town) but not too far (15 minutes walking). That is not bad at all because it provides an amazing view and quiet nights.

Old travellers may want to rent a car as the walk from the town to the hotel is mostly uphill. The car can also be usefull to get to the remote beaches, but to the most famous ones the bus is a great option and the bus-stop is just outside the hotel.

The rooms are very nice with small fridge, TV, Safebox, Hair Dryer. Our had a double bed and an amazing view of the city, the sea and the famous windmills.

Nice bathroom (a bit small as usual) with a nice shower and the dreaded shower courtains (just move it away and let the bathroom get wet, it dryes quickly).

The hotel has a very nice pool, but we had no chance to use it as we spent our days knowing the island and returning to the hotel at night.

The breakfast is well above the Greek standard. A lot of options and excellent quality.

The Wireless internet connection works only at the lobby and is expensive (5 Euros one hour).

The hotel can send a driver to pick you up and to take you to the port/airport. Book it previously.

After booking was confirmed I received an e-mail asking for our arrival details so the hotel could provide us with transportation. That was really useful and convenient!
The city center is 15 min walk away. There is a scooter-ATV rental near the hotel (ATV for one day costs about 23€, ask for a discount), so you can visit the center and all the beaches with ATV.

Breakfast was delicious with big variety of food. The restaurant at the hotel is quite expensive, you could count on 100€ for a dinner for two persons, I'd recommend you to walk to the city, there are hundreds of other places to eat out!

Swimming pool area is magnificent, exactly as shown on the pics.

The room was quite spacious, with a/c and a small balcony. Bathroom was very small, I couldn't imagine a big person taking shower in there. But overall we enjoyed our stay.

“Very nice and charming complex”

Myconian K Hotel

I was part of a tour and they were taking care of the hotel reservations for us and you always wonder about what will be the reality vs. what you see in the brochure but I was pleasantly surprise. This is not a big hotel thank god…. There are only roughly 60 rooms that look like little maisonettes which h fit well with the décor and are characteristics of the island. The area is very quiet and peaceful.

The complex is not downtown Mykonos which is great by the way. It is a bit remote which allows for an interesting view of the see, the mills and downtown Mykonos. The rooms were clean and large enough with a view either on the see or the pool. The set up with the pool and the restaurant is great.

It takes only 10-15 minutes of walk to go in the centre of Mykonos. You could get to the town either walking, by bus there is a bus stop just in front of the hotel down the hill and you could rent a moto if you would like.

The only negative comment I would have is regarding the employees at the reception. They were not necessarily too nice and interested to offer a great service but I would say they are no different than other hotel employees in this country anyway but at the end of the day it is up to us to take it with a grain of salt

I would definitely recommend this hotel as for me it was a very pleasant experience and I could not have picked a better location myself.
