“SUPERB HOTEL!!!!!!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 10, 2010

I decided to stay in the city and i chose the perfect hotel. Walking distance from all the venues and highlights. Excellent service - super elegant ambiance and very professional employees. I recommend this hotel for whoever wants to stay in the most trendy hotel of the island (no wonder why all the celebrities do choose this property when travelling to Mykonos).

I'm sure it may be different in peak season but in low season the service and staff at this hotel were exceptional. The location is good for walking into town or just staying by the pool. I would definitely return.

My husband and I spent 5 nights at the Belvedere at the end of September. As it was low season the hotel was very quiet and a great place to relax by the pool during the day. The hotel is in a perfect location, just a 2 min walk into the centre - you honestly don't benefit from being any more central since mykonos town is tiny.
The staff were great, and provided us with recommendations for restaurants and arranged car hire, transfers etc.
There was a nice selection for breakfast and you could order additional items from a menu if you wished. We had luch twice at the hotel and the food was absolutely delicious. You have to try the chocolate baklava.
As we did stay in low season the prices were considerably lower. I'm not sure in high season that this hotel would be good value, but then everything in mykonos is extremely expensive compared to other greek islands.

The Belvedere has the easy and unexcited atmosphere of true luxury. From the arrival to departure, the wonderful staff is ready to help and assist in every way and create a perfect atmosphere. The location is great with wonderful view over the city but in walking distance to all nice restaurants and bars. If you want to go to the beach, you need some sort of transportation. Some of the rooms are quite noisy because of the street behind the hotel or exposure to the pool area. The best part is the pool area which, at night, transforms into two clubby and romantic restaurants. One of them is Matsuhisha wehre we had the best meals in our live. However, all this comes with quite a pricetag...

The hotel is great and the staff too!
the pool could be bigger, but it is on the average of the mykonos hotel.
I had only the breakfast included and it was of good quality, but scarce in quantity.
The position is in mykonos, but if closer to the center of mykonos would be better.
I've spent there 5 days and they were very relaxing, but I think it was quite expensive for what it offered.
Anyway, if you are looking fo a relax holiday this is the right place (there is also an excellente spa inside)

This hotel is dependent on what you want.

If you are a Delano/Shore club loving person - you will love.
If you want to be right in town so you can walk back to your hotel late at night - you will love.
If you love the pool amenities - the couches/chairs/actual pool - you will love.

If you want a huge pool party scene - eh. lots of people go to beach and its not crowded, so don't think its going to be a pool party...its quiet and relaxed and not crowded - you will get your chair and be able to relax. be happy enjoying the pool scene with ur friends mainly. and u can bring some friends too - theyre not monitoring aggressively.

for 400 euros/night at minimum, there are definitely better places on the island. HOWEVER, not in town. i mean this location is AMAZING! the best - but if ur not going out hard at night, u may not need the best location.

i dont really recommend this place for honeymooners - u should definitely stay at mykonos grand if ur on a honeymoon.

for gay men - this is great. its all gay basically, but not gay scene...just happens that 60% of guests are A-list gays...also, its literally 5 second walk uphill to Elysium which is the actual gay hotel. so u can go there for happy hour easily. elysium is really nice too and cheaper, but its kind of in ur face gay all the time - literally the wall paper is penises...so....belvedere is more for i am gay but dont need it in my face 24/7.

The rooms r nice, the pool is AMAZING, staff is actually very friendly. people said otherwise but i disagree - u coughed, and they patted ur back. u sneeze and they bring the kleenex. so dont believe any mean staff comments - staff is so so friendly. so nice. know what's up and make no judgements. they rock.

but again, u can get better deals for 400 euros outside of town.

also, if ur torn between spending so much - i'd say rent an apartment.

u dont need this hotel if ur going to beach everyday - this is a place for pool lovers, who can go to beachs on other islands, and want to wake up a little hungover and lay at the pool and feel fantastic and refreshed and clean. if you're definitely going to beach everyday, then u dont need to spend so much - no point really. just choose a cheap place in town.

gym is legit. nobu is cool, make a reservation earlier.

again - location location. but if ur a honeymooner, person not going out hard at night - u should stay outside of town b/c better hotels. but if u need to stay in town - u cannot beat this place. but u can save a lot by renting apts or doing smaller/crappier hotels if u r at beach all day...pointless to stay here unless u really love the pool and will be spending your time there.

oo - if u dont wake up for breakfast they bring it to your room for 7 euro charge. worth it.

A member of the Small Luxury Hotels affiliation, the Belvedere more than lives up to this standard.

We found the service to be impeccable; nothing was ever a problem and the staff would pull out all the stops to make sure you got what you wanted.

The Hotel itself just feels right; the rooms (we stayed in a 'refurbished' room) are crisp, modern and spacious. The grounds are intimate with a wonderful view out over the town from the pool and dining area. The restaurant is very good and gee, they even do a mean coffee (once you get them trained up right!). And all only a few steps away from teh best parts of Mykonos Town.

All in all, we can't praise the Belvedere enough and would certainly return here.
