“Fantastic hotel in great location with very friendly staff.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 25, 2013

We stayed at the Portobello for 7 nights. We stayed in what was called a "budget room" but it was anything but budget. It was really well equipped and very clean and comfortable. We didn't have a sea view but it didn't bother us as there are fantastic views from the terrace over Mykanos Town and the bay. The location is so good. It is literally a 2 minute walk directly into the town centre with its shops and wonderful restaurants. We loved the buffet breakfast each morning sitting outside on the terrace. The staff are just lovely and so helpful and provide a really personal service. We wanted to just relax and enjoy some time away and the Portobello provided the perfect venue.

We stayed Portobello for 3 nights for our first Cyclades trip. The hotel is located on a plateau closed to a discarded windmill. From the room we can fantastically overview the whole Mykonos township and the sea. It is so sweet just sit in the hotel patio, have a drink, with gentel wind covering the face, and watch the sunset. The hotel has its private parking zone, and it's convenient to drive to everywhere on the island. The staffs provided us lots of information of the island and the Greek traditions, they also help us booking the rental car. The room is a bit tiny but facilities are excellent. We would certainly stay here when we visit Mykonos again.

Room Tip: Rooms with seaview are recommended

After staying at various hotels during our European adventure, this was our favorite hotel! From the location to the staff, my friend and I loved our few short days spent here. It was located only a few steps above the town which allowed for amazing views! When it was time to go to town it was about a two minute walk away. The staff was very eager to help and even gave my friend duct tape to fix her broken bag. You could tell from your first step in the lobby that this hotel was kept very clean and orderly. The breakfast area had great views and the food was simple but delicious. I can't say enough good things about this hotel. Give it a try!

It's a small hotel in a very good location: so close to the town center but away from the hustle. The rooms with balconies facing the town has fantastic view of the sunset. Rooms are small but very efficient. Staff is very helpful and the breakfast is good.

We've stayed 4 nights in September in the budget room, and got a good deal. The hotel location is superb, few steps up/down and you're in the Mykonos city center. But since it's on a small hill you get amazing view of the city bay, windmills, ... from the breakfast terrace. In the hotel, the attention is payed to every single detail, room decoration, toiletries, sheet, beautiful pillows, ... And we were in the budget room, the other rooms are even better. There was a small balcony from our room. Staff is just super professional and helpful. Breakfast is delicious, home made, great, good coffee. Yes, true, there's no swimming pool, but in Mykonos you don't need it, since Mykonos has got the most amazing beaches in the world (I highly recommend Panormas-rent a car or quad, Pssarou, Elia). They will be closed Oct-Apr. I'll be recommending this hotel to all of my friends.
