“Fantastic view, decent room, helpful staff”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 28, 2012

It's a small hotel in a very good location: so close to the town center but away from the hustle. The rooms with balconies facing the town has fantastic view of the sunset. Rooms are small but very efficient. Staff is very helpful and the breakfast is good.

“Splendid, charming”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 24, 2012 via mobile

We've stayed 4 nights in September in the budget room, and got a good deal. The hotel location is superb, few steps up/down and you're in the Mykonos city center. But since it's on a small hill you get amazing view of the city bay, windmills, ... from the breakfast terrace. In the hotel, the attention is payed to every single detail, room decoration, toiletries, sheet, beautiful pillows, ... And we were in the budget room, the other rooms are even better. There was a small balcony from our room. Staff is just super professional and helpful. Breakfast is delicious, home made, great, good coffee. Yes, true, there's no swimming pool, but in Mykonos you don't need it, since Mykonos has got the most amazing beaches in the world (I highly recommend Panormas-rent a car or quad, Pssarou, Elia). They will be closed Oct-Apr. I'll be recommending this hotel to all of my friends.

“Best location and view”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 21, 2012

I stayed a long weekend at Portobello hotel and the location is really fantastic: easy to get from the airport, you arrive directly from the street so no need to carry luggages across the town. The view from the hotel is brilliant, as it is located uphill and you overlook the whole Mykonos town. I stayed in a suite with seaview, and the room was very nice, clean, modern with a little balcony and amazing view. Really a pleasure. Even if choose a normal room, you can still have breakfast outside (or just sitting outside) and enjoy the same view. The only suggestion for improvement that I have is about the breakfast: it has a good overall choice and quality, but not too much on the sweet (cakes, pastries) side - I don't like savoury stuff for breakfast. The staff is very friendly and helpful, and if I go back to Mykonos I will definitely try to stay there again

“WOW!!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 12, 2012

I have been traveling to Mykonos for the past 8 years and have never stayed anywhere as nice as Portobello. My friend and I stayed for 2 weeks and both of us were wowed by Portobello. The hotel is clean, sleek and simple but what makes it unique is the staff. For instance when I had injured my toe badly one of the concierges Anna Ariel insisted she take me to the hospital to get a check up. That day just so happened to be my birthday and when I was getting my check up she brought be a birthday cake with a candle. Brothers Panos and Stelios are also amazing giving recommendations and direction to the island as needed. Finally Anna is sweet and beautiful as ever. By the end of the Trip I felt like family. The views are stunning, the rooms are contemporary but not tacky. Will most defiantly be back.

Room Tip: get a sunset view if you can afford it, most def one of the most sunsets on the planet

“Great boutique hotel, Great Service”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 4, 2012

There are many factors to compare and rate hotels, such as the rooms, decoration etc. But there are also other things that you can’t describe. This is the place where you will feel at home and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere with excellent service.

From the old town it takes around 10minutes to reach the hotel. For the ones with a rent a car, there is a parking lot.
The hotel looks new. The rooms are spacious enough and very comfortable. The breakfast is delicious especially the fresh baked pastry.
I really enjoyed the terrace. Its very peaceful to relax there after a beach party or early in the morning.

Rather than all these, the main factor making the place special is the staff. They are really friendly and ready to make your stay special all time.

I'll definetly stay there again.
