We stayed at Tinerfe Gardens 1st July 2012 for 2 weeks. Travelling with our two boys aged 6 and 8.
The accommodation is fantastic value for money, we booked through Broadway Travel but you can book direct.
The rooms are spacious and very clean. We stayed in a 1 bed apartment which sleeps 4. As you enter, the bathroom was to your left and a gally kitchen to the right. Next to the bathroom was the bedroom with 2 single beds. The space opens out to a huge living room with 2 beds, sofa, breakfast bar, tv and storage. Beyond this is a massive terrace. The staff are really helpful and trustworthy with your private belongings. They clean the room at regular intervals so its not a massive invasion to your holiday and they do a lovely job, the place is always spotless after. The decor is dated and traditional but this adds to the appeal and to be honest, who stays in their room for the entire holiday? We just used it as a base and it suited us. The only slightly off putting thing was the fencing around the terrace, it makes you think they have a security problem at first, but I assure you its not the case as they have a security guard who clocks on about 11pm and he walks the premises all night so you're really safe. My parents have stayed at this hotel for 10 years and always recommend and they are right to, its cheap, cheerful and close to everything I will be returning. The only reason we are not returning this year is because there's not much for kids, ours are 6 and 8 so through the day they had a wonderful time at the pool and the beach but night time left us going back to the room at 9ish as they wanted to play with their toys, I think the bars in Adeje which are plentiful would benefit from providing kids entertainment. This is available in Laguna Park, but its an expensive night if youre not all inclusive in there, so we only had a few nights in there. The Rumpot, Faces and all the other bars could really capitalise if there was a kids club provided, hence this year we are going elsewhere so our kids can enjoy the nights as well as the days! I will return, but it will be when the boys are old enough to appreciate the entertainment which is tailored towards adults. I had a great time, but if you want to make the most of your holiday, you have to keep the little uns happy too!
Oh, sometimes because of the lack of air con, you may want to sleep with your terrace door open (which is safe) but the noise from the bars carries on to early hours and you may find it travels so you can hear it if youre on the front of the complex, you can ask to be moved if its too much, or put up with it...Its not that bad but if you close the doors you'll bake! Fans are available for hire and the hotel is very accommodating! If you can adjust your plans/preferences slightly and accept youre in Tenerife, you'll enjoy this accommodation we did, and no doubt my parents will stay again and again and again - They love it, so do we but we have two lively customers who need more at night!
If travelling with children ask for a room near reception or the pool as the noise from the bars can...
