What a fine place to stay. Full board and the choice is immense. It would be so easy to pile the weight on with this and you need to be really strict with yourself not to over eat. It's great having the poolside bar where drinks and snacks are free during the day. If you prefer to miss lunch in the dining room a burger or toasty from here fills the gap without being too much. Staff are very helpful. They go out of their way to help in any situation. The pools are glorious. From the little pool for babies a small pool and the big pool all easily accessible. Lots of sun loungers to lie around digesting a meal or reading. A very relaxing place to be and great value for money.

Room Tip: Facing the pools where you get sun all day.

Just come back from a 7 day stay at Adeje and my partner and I really enjoyed it. My only complaint would be the entertainment, not good at all except for the magician. But food was good, staff pleasant and helpful as they moved us to a pool view room as soon as we requested. Poolside was ok, but quiet, background music wud of been nice. Who ever mentioned corridors were dark, might not of noticed the light switches. CLOWN. Lol. Overall excellent time and wud return.. Good location too.

we have stayed at the Villa Adeje hotel many times over the years and back when it was called ocean beach hotel. We love this hotel. Pools are always clean, rooms are cleaned regular, staff are helpful. On our last visit we went all inclusive, food was lovely but not much choice for non fish lovers. ENtertainment needed updating also. Overall we enjoyed our stay

I stayed at this Hotel for a week in November 2012. First impression I really did not like it. The receptionist was very friendly and helpful. But we were told where our room was and found it in the basement which was very dark and depressing. I felt like crying when she told us this was the only room available. But I unpacked and told myself to try to enjoy. The food was good always something nice to eat. We did not really bother with the entertainment as we went walks on the evening. The weather was great especially for November. The outside pool was lovely not overcrowded could always get a sun lounger. At the end of the holiday I had quite got used to the room in the basement and would do it all again. So I would recommend this Hotel but try not to have the basement room.

Room Tip: Make sure to use the Spa as it is free a great way to end the day.

3 of 5 stars Reviewed May 22, 2013

Stopped at this hotel with my boyfriend from the 14-21 may 2013 the rating for this review would have been a lot higher if it wasn't for the terrible last day but ill get to that later. We arrived at 10.30 pm and found the receptionist really friendly (young blonde girl) she told us on arrival that because the hotel was quiet they had upgraded us from a studio to a sea/pool view apartment . We were in room 511 which was a lovely big appartment with kitchen sitting room bathroom and bedroom with a huge balcony , the rooms do look a bit tired and there are bits of plaster coming off all over the place but we really didnt care were not overly picky as long as its clean . Due to it being so late we used none of the all inclusive and went straight to bed .

. The hotel was extremely quiet with probably no more than 50 guests which we aren't really used to but this was a relaxing holiday so found it quite nice to not have screaming kids running around. I would say however that this hotel is not for family's as there isn't much for children to do and they would get bored extremly quickly. The hotel is a bit dated and could probably be a really decent hotel if it was done up a bit . I would however say that floors 1,2 and 3 are terrible the rooms are below ground level and we went down there one day to see what it was like and it's very dark . The hotel don't like to use electricity during the day so the lights in the corridors remain off and this makes it Really dark. There is no air conditioning in the rooms but it wasn't too hot when we went so we didn't need it anyway , you could hire a fan from reception though. The tv is pay per view but we usually just put the sky news channel on as this was free and we didn't watch the tv very often

. The food was average I have deffinalty had better at three star hotels but as the hotel was fairly quiet I can see them probably not wanting to waste food . There was always something to eat though and it wasn't too repetitive apart from pork. Drinks available with your meals were beer wine and soft drinks . Breakfast I think was probably the best meal of the day.

. The staff were lovely especially one member of the bar/resturant staff we didn't know his name but he always made and attempt to talk to you

. Al inclusive finished at 11pm and you could buy your drinks from then on but we tended to be out of the hotel anyways as the entertainment was very poor

. Entertainment like I said was poor there were a couple of decent shows like the parrot show and the circus but on the other nights van Elliot would do his best to get the few guests in the hotel going and would sing most nights along with the Spanish member if the vanimacion team.

. The location was okay we ended up doing a lot of walking though and the hotel is situated at the top of a nice stee hill down to the harbour .

THE LAST DAY!!!!
It came to the last day of our holiday and we went down for breakfast that morning didnt have much to drink as we could get some bottles of water with our all inclusive before leaving the hotel at 6pm for our flight at 10.30 . We packed our cases and then went to check out . Now I have never experienced this before ever with any hotel in tenerife or anywhere else for that matter when we've been checking out but staying until evening. The rude obnoxious mid 40s dark hair receptionist cut off our all inclusive bands and I started to explain that we hadn't had any all inclusive on our first day and we weren't leaving until 6 that day. She became very defensive and started to say it wasn't the hotels fault it was our fault for having a late flight which started to make my blood boil then she continued to blame anyone but the hotel by saying it was our holiday providers fault. She then said she would ask the manager if we could have lunch he then said no because we had already had our room upgraded (which we didn't ask for) . And then the obnoxious woman then ignores us and speaks to another woman standing at reception when we handnt finished so we tried to inturrupt as we needed the key for the courtesy room to leave our bags and she then shouted at us "yes I know you need the key " and continued to talk to the other woman. It's a good job we had money left as this was a very budgeted holiday and we did not expect to be buying drinks and food on our last day when we'd a,ready paid for a week all inclusive which we didn't get in the end. We then went out for the rest of the day as I refused to give anymore money to the hotel.

And for that reason alone we will not be returning to the villa de adeje beach and I will be complaining to thomson about this situation as well (not that it was there fault)
There is no wonder they have no customers with recetion staff with that attitude

This hotel is a JOKE !! We have just returned from a 7 day holiday at this hotel and it's supposed to be a 3 star, this hotel doesn't deserve 3 stars, and to be advertising they cater for All Inlcusive is a JOKE!! The reception area has the best initial apearance, the rest of the hotel is extremely run down and requires a complete makeover. I complained about the food on two occasions, nothing was done to rectify my complaint, the food was either uncooked, or cold, the pool snack bar was also a JOKE!! We ate out most of the time, the staff were too busy watching TV to clean the surrounding area, cracked tiles around the pool area, if it wasn't for the guests this holiday would have been a lot worse :-) The best part of this hotel is the exit door. We were given a Studio apartment, but we booked a one bedroom apartment, when I questioned the receptionist, I was ignored. If you value your health and safety then don't go near this place....................
