“OK place to stay”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 21, 2014

Went 5th April till the 12th April for girlfriends birthday for what we paid it was ok have been to better hotels in Adeje but as we now the area this did us fine

Reception:
Very helpful and accommodating explained how the AI worked .as there where a few of us checking in at the same time it was a little rushed.

Restaurant:
Food was lovely, lots to choose from, fresh breads and rolls and salad choice to die for.
Each day had a choice of fish and various meat as well as pizza and fresh pasta.
They also have a kids buffet that had a great daily choice.
Plenty of beautiful bit size desserts and lovely ice cream.
Couldn't fault the food, however in the morning we went down most morning around 8.30 and all was ok.

Entertainment:
Each night there was something on for all ages and mostly good fun for the kids such as snake and parrot shows.
The animation team were always on the go during the day will all sorts of fun things for both kids and adults.

Location:
Fantastic so central to everywhere, the shops, bars, restaurants and transport of you fancy travelling around the island.

Staff:
Fantastic so pleasant, nothing too much trouble and that was from the management down.

AI:
It certainly was value for money in this hotel anyway so would definitely recommend.

Room Tip: Get a room overlooking the pool due to the road noise. if i went back it would have to be block B 528 or 527

Room Tip: get as high as you can on block b

Loved this hotel!! Coming back in July (just got back 15th April) cannot believe what people moan about..my little lad loved everything here from the kids club to the parrot show etc... the food was excellent quality and loads to choose from (pancakes for breakfast, fresh griddled meat and fish for lunch and a bbq one night!) Must also say aswell that the maid service was second to none with fresh towels and cleaning of rooms every day. Never mind my lad loved it we did too!!!

We have just returned from a 6 night stay and had a great time! We booked a superior room and although the view wasn't brilliant, the room was fully refurbished and extremely comfortable. Rooms cleaned beautifully every day, clean towels etc. Food was fantastic, lots to choose from and waiter service great. Entertainment team were good, working hard all day and night! Reception staff very helpful, security guard on door, we felt very secure. We booked a shower room for late checkout (free of charge) for 30 mins before departing hotel. Clean towels and shower facilities were provided. Hotel is in a lovely position, Costa Adeje is beautiful with great walking left or right of hotel along promenade. We caught the bus to Los Cristianos for good shopping on a wet morning. I know some reviews of this hotel are not good, but we had a truly fantastic time and had no problems at all. Will definitely book again.

Room Tip: We stayed in B543 , refurbished superior room, very quiet, but not much of a view

I went with friends for a week holiday in March. Can't blame the hotel for anything really. The rooms were basic but for some extra charge (about 40 euros pp) you can get an upgrade to superior rooms. Great selection of food, plenty of seafood for lunch and dinner, choice of meets or you can compose your own salad. If you are all inclusive food is pretty much served almost all the time i.e. pastries between lunch and dinner and you drink as much as you like. i would strongly recommend going for an AI option. All staff members very nice and helpful, interesting animations. Great for families, couples and friends holidays. About 7 mins walk to the beach. The only downside it's not as busy location as Las Americas, not many nightclubs, but would definitely go again.

Dear Marlena,

Thank you very much for your friendly comment, we are happy you enjoyed your stay.

Just as information for other, future guest, we would like to mention that the upgrading from a standard to a upgraded room are 12,- euros per day, per room.

Regarding party life, indeed it is quieter in the Costa Adeje area than the center of Playa de las Americas, but for those who want to party until the early hours, we have the boulevard nearby with fun pubs and a highly popular discotheque at walking distance (about 700 meters). The center of Playa de las Americas is easily accessible by taxi. Taxi fare is about 7,- euro to the Veronicas and/or The Patch night life area.

Kind regard and hoping to see you back soon!

We stayed here in Easter hols half board with 3 children aged 15, 6 and 3. They had an absolutely brilliant time! The animation team work so hard to make the kids happy from morning til night and the kids club is great. It's a shame this hotel gets a lot of bad reviews I just think some people are very snobby and want a five star hotel for 2 star money! Ok the rooms could do with updating but this was the only thing that I would complain about and for the fact we only slept there it didn't matter to us. There are 4 pools, 2 big and 2 childrens which my 3 year old was in all day! We had a ground floor pool view room and yes it was a bit noisy because of the entertainment but this was all finished by around 11.30pm and we were all up until then anyway.
The food is good I've never seen so much choice and if the kids didn't like something they would just go back and try something different! U can't do that in restaurants! Also we were half board but got drinks round the pool every day and snacks, how many hotels do that? Also the drinks were reasonably priced in the evening. I actually can't believe what people moan about, if you're goin on holiday to take photos of your room u need to get a life! We on the other hand like to go away and enjoy our holidays. If you want 5 star service then pay for it. I was so worried before I went after reading reviews on here I nearly swopped hotels! So glad I didn't. Also how many hotels have entertainment every night? Not many and we've stopped in a lot. My kids are asking if they can go back next Easter! I spoke to a lot of people round the pool that have been to this hotel 5 or 6 times so they must be doing something right! Remember for every bad review u read there are a 100 people that had a great holiday. Would also like to say the maid service is great, in every day changing towels and making beds and very friendly as were all the staff I spoke to. Please pass on thanks to the animation team who were brilliant, also the parrot shows and mini disco for kids every night, fab! Would def go back to Tenerife and stop here

Tip ask for pool view room on higher floor if u want it a bit quieter, and if you want 5 star then go somewhere else and pay for it!

Dear Laura,

Thank you very much for your detailed review. We are very happy you enjoyed your stay with us. As correctly stated in your review, the hotel does have a lot of repeater guest, and it is a great pleasure to observe how new long lasting friendships are formed throughout the stay.

Regarding the half board policy, we allow half board guest to make use of the self-service pool bars during opening hours of the pool, as well as drinks during the meals in the restaurant. The drinks at night in Bar Plaza are charged at a reasonable price.

We are looking forward to your next stay.

Kind regards,

We have just come home from this hotel although we thought the hotel was not upto 4 stars, as previous people have said did look like a bit like prison cells, needs updating really and as our room overlooked the entertainment area we had no chance of getting an early night. I have to say though that whilst we were there it was our sons 8th birthday and the entertainment team went all out to make it a great evening for us all. They reserved us a special table in the restaurant, with a bottle of bubbly for the adults special cocktails for the kids and a lovely cake that was decorated for his birthday. Later on the entertainers sang happy birthday to him and made a big fuss of him, so thank you to you all. We thought all the staff were very friendly just the upkeep of the hotel let them down.

Dear Andrea,

We would like to thank you for your kind review and are happy your sons’ birthday party was a success.

We are aware that the architecture of the hotel might not be to the liking of everyone, as the hotel is not brand new, but we keep the hotel in good condition. On the positive side, a lot of clients comment on the fact that the rooms are quite spacious for a hotel, with separate bedroom and living room.

We hope you will be back in future.

Kind regards,

Hotel Reception staff very friendly and helpful at all times, Room was very clean, cleaners in everyday, clean towels everyday, Hotel position Very good in location, All Inclusive food and Drinks we found excellent,
Only downfall the Hotel lacks entertainment for adults, Doors and gates late opening for sun beds, people leaving towels out who stay on lower floors,
Apart from these very minor issues the Hotel is an excellent for all, we have stayed at this Hotel three times previous, and standards are still very high.

Dear Andy and Sharon,

We would like to thank you for your very kind feedback. We are happy you enjoyed your 4th stay with us and hope to be seeing you back in future.

We have also taken note of your suggestions and will see what we can do about it. For the moment, we apply the ‘half hour’ rule. I.e., the life guard places a warning card on the reserved – but not used – sunbed. If the client does not show up within the next half hour, we remove the towel, but the card stays in place to advise the client to collect the towel with the life guard. This is a rule that we only have to apply when things get really busy in the hotel and had proven to be quite successful.

Kind regards and looking forward to your next stay!
