We decided to come back to Tenerife, to the same hotel, exactly a year after our first visit. That in itself tell you I love Tenerife and was more than happy with the hotel. The only issues I had with the hotel was the evening food and the 'gym'. A year later the hotel selling points are still there, beautiful views, excellent location, friendly staff (except watering staff who are bit grumpy/blunt), lovely pool areas and excellent holiday reps (we went with Thompson). The food is markedly improved - the breakfasts are great and loads of variety and in the evening they have abandoned their theme nights (where one countries cuisine is horrifically imitated!) and instead a much better quality and better selection is on offer. We were upgraded to a suite (room 310, presumably because it was our honeymoon) and the room was very spacious, clean, was over seeing the sea (stunning sun set views), was modern and had a great bathroom with a bath and shower and a separate shower. The bathroom was nicely decorated with flowers in glasses etc. The cleaning staff were friendly and left the room tidy, without messing or rearranging your personal belongings, and left nice truffles on each side if the bed each night. We still had to pay to use the room safe, 28euros for 11 nights (plus another 10 euros refundable deposit). The hotel is clean throughout and the pool areas are great, quiet, clean and tranquil. It is annoying that you cannot pay as you go for drinks etc and have to sign a receipt (and then pay tab at end of holiday, or by going to main reception throughout holiday as we so bill didn't run away with itself). The gym facilities are pretty pointless - old X trainer and stepper, treadmill and crap ex bike, some basic free weights (not heavy) and a horrible multigym machine that is in disparate need of a servicing/binning as it does not like it when you try to load any proper weight on it. If your so exercise keen you feel the need to train while on holiday then it won't cater to your needs! I train daily and still love to train while away, but there is a great gym about 6-8 euros away by taxi called fitness2000 in the del duque shopping centre (it's a bodybuilding/weights orientated gym) with incredibly friendly staff, and cost is much cheaper than paying in UK. I would definitely return to this part of Tenerife and to the H10, it had everything I look for in this type if holiday, great weather, great views, clean rooms and pool areas, ok food (if you fancy anything nicer there are 100s of places within waking distance to cover any taste - we ate out most nights) and the reps were excellent and couldn't do enough for you. Fantastic honeymoon
