“Luxurious? I think not!”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed February 26, 2012 via mobile

It's a shame building such a big fancy hotel that has so little to offer. This place really isn't for the experienced and frequent traveller. The announced wifi doesn't work, the reception staff is the slowest I've encountered upon check in, the breakfast selection is huge, but unfortunately of poor quality, the room had one single outlet by the bed and it was already in use by the clock radio, the air condition was out of order and the rooms were cold and clammy, no mini bar, no pay-tv, rude staff at the bar and the breakfast is being served in a huge noisy, crowded hall. Noisy lobby bar playing loud music until late. The hotel is huge and the rooms are not exactly logically placed according to the numbers, which would be ok if they at least put some signs up. The English knowledge of the staff is not impressive. It feels like they had great visions for this hotel, but gave up half way. Cleaning was good.

We went with 2 friends and enjoyed every bit of our stay. The food is buffet style but of top quality and plentiful. The hotel was full but that is a sign how good it is , those who write reports that criticise the hotel would be better at a Butlins type holiday. The staff at this hotel are kind and attentive,we met some who have been there 10 years so that in itself shows they are good. Some people have written complaints purely because they can ,without repercusions .My wife and I are well travelled across most parts of the globe and have lived abroad so we know the difference ! We did not eat at La Tasca as we were very happy in the main restaurant. We look forward to our next return visit and enjoying this excellent hotel.

Room Tip: We were happy on the left side in a standard room overlooking the Sheraton on no.4 floor

Hello, We ate at this restaurant on 17th February 2011. There was a single person managing the four tables of people. She couldn't cope. The food was very poor indeed. The two ladies in our company didn't eat a thing. The mushrooms were re-hydrated, the wine list was very poor. I caught two insects with my fingers at the table.
The band were terrible and also much too loud. The manager knew how desperate it all was and offered us a bottle of Cava on the house. We asked could we have a bottle of Gran Vina Sol instead as we had been drinking this but she declined. I believe it costs about 7 euros in the supermarket. We returned the Cava unopened. The restaurant was advertising as part of the "privilege" tier of dining. My goodness you really don't want to eat here. No wonder the very vast majority of the diners had chosen to go to the serve service buffet in the other main restaurant.

Dear Guest,

We feel very sorry that we could not reach your expectation with the service provide in our a la Carte Restaurant , but as far that we know, the waiter ask you many times if you want something different , but the response was negative.
Every taste is individual and unfortunately the dish that you order did not fit your taste.

Regarding the Live Music your commentaries surprise us, because is what most of our clients request for this Restaurant.

Us we said we feel very sorry that we could not reach your satisfaction with the service that we provide.

We Hope you will not loose the confiance in our Hotel and hope to see you again in your next holiday in Tenerife

Stayed with my daughter for the half-term week. Check in was a nightmare as we were tired and there were only two girls on reception checking a coach load of Italian golfers in. When one did start to sort our room she left to answer the phone and didn't come back. Other receptionist came over and finished check in promptly and was nice. The room we had was spacious and very clean but showing signs of aging from the eleven year old hotel. Bathroom clean but hairdryer not much kop and non-thermostatic shower hot one second then cold the next. Quiet room and good sleep was had with only a little noise from feet and patio doors sliding above. This is a business whereas if you pay to upgrade to premium you get a better room and service as they are getting another 500 kwid a week out of you. Some of the rooms are refurbished and with premium this is what you get, otherwise an older type room. It looks as though about two rooms a week are being modernised. In my view for a 4*all the rooms should be of the modern standard. The Premium bath robes some of the older people were wandering around in gave the place an air of a retirement home. Breakfast buffet was O.K but only once was a table ready as they like to lay them for lunch, one was soon set for us though and the staff are friendly but seem rushed to get the place sorted asap for lunch. Poolside bar and snacks both good with nice waiters. Crazy golf course well worn. Jacuzzi ,towels and sunbeds all O.K. Gardens fairly well kept and attractive. Evening entertainment from a Spanish pub singer. Places opposite in commercial centre to drink and eat are good as is La Caletta and its nice restaurants. Del Duques a short walk down the lovely front. In all a decent hotel but not a four star, however we were happy with the holiday we had for what we paid. If you want better pay double and go in the Sheraton next door or go for a more modern hotel in a worse location like Las Americas. With just a little more care and expenditure this hotel could soon be restored to what must have been a glorious place several years ago...

Room Tip: Unless you pay for premium you will be put on the side or rear. Refurbished suites and rooms have th...

This hotel has a perfect setting in a quiet area of La Caleta. If you get a refurbished room you will be pleased with the spacious well appointed rooms. The restaurant has a good range of quality food and wine on offer. Overall the staff are very friendly and helpful. We will return if we get a good value offer.

Room Tip: A higher floor is essential.

We have just returned from a week at the Costa Adeje Palace, and we agree with the bad reviews from January. The buffet resturant is a nightmare, busy, and the tables far too close together more like a canteen. The food was of very poor quality, overcooked, cold, and buffet was not replenished quick enough to be able to select a complete meal. Tables are not cleared so you very often could not find anywhere to sit. We paid extra for a 'side sea view room' but the decor and furnishings were very tatty. We travelled with Thomas Cook My style Holidays and were lead to believe this was a good quality hotel, the hotel is in a good position in Costa Adeje but this does not make up for the poor service and quality of food.

We came here last year and enjoyed it. Booked flight direct and accomodation with expedia. This time we paid extra for upgraded sea view, it was well worth it.
All staff we encountered were great, friendly and helpful.
The reception was especially good.
We ate in the restaurant over the swimming pool a few lunch times, it was as good as anywhere on tenerife and priced right.
Cant think of a bad point.

We stay here to eat in the village of La Caleta which are some of the best restaurants in Europe.
Celsa which is the shabbiest looking is still the best food.
There are now a few bars in the back streets, we went to James bar most nights it was just what we wanted. Good drink and music, very friendly staff and long stay let people.
The only bad thing is the resort is getting busy now as more foriegn residential propertiers are being built around the village.

Room Tip: Pay the extra for the ugrade sea view.
