and got it. We crept in at 3.00am this morning after spending a weeking here. We were a little concerned reading all the negative reviews but we're pleased to say that we had a very nice weeks holiday. The hotel is being renovated and little things are unfinished but it didn't particularly bother us. We booked with Thomson and had requested a high quiet room with a double bed and thats exactly what we got got without having to pay any extra. In fact, we were two of a handful of guests on the 9th floor for about 4 days. No problem with the lifts. The bedroom and the bathroom were both of a good size with plenty of hot water whenever we needed it. Towels were changed as often as you wanted and the sheets regularly. Food was plentiful and you could always find something to eat. We tried the Mexican al-la-carte and were pleasantly surprised. Staff were polite and helpful and always tried to please. We didn't stay for the evening entertainment preferring the many bars around the hotel - try and catch the Acoustic Knights (can't remember the bar) (they're on Facebook). We only booked one outing - the adults dolphin & whale watching which we both very much enjoyed - but remember to take a towel for the swimming stop. The pool area is divided into three areas which ensured the children/family area was away from the more adult area - which was lovely. Plenty of sunbeds and a nice more shaded area for chilling out. Mainly middle aged couples with a few younger couples with a toddler, a fair number of ladies in groups - it seemed a safe area during the day and early evening. All in all - a nice place.

Room Tip: High rooms

Not in the same league as the Adeje Gran or other large hotels but was good value for what we paid.We booked early before the bad reviews so were a bit concerned. We were on the 5th floor and the lifts did work. The restaurant, bar and reception staff were polite and friendly. We always found there was a reasonable choice in the buffet restaurant at breakfast, lunch and dinner. The Spanish and Mexican speciality restaurants were a bit of a disappointment as were the cocktails. The beer is decent. The coffee and fruit juices are not fresh but dispenced.
The rooms overlooking the pool have good views and the evening sun on the balcony. The extra charge for the higher room was worth it so you are not looking at the roof of the restaurant.
We did not stay to watch the entertainment. Once the entertainment starts there are no quiet lounges in the hotel but you can take your drinks out on to the terrace, which provides views out to sea. If you like Sinatra, Buble etc we discovered a small bar called the Cabana a few minutes walk away, ( turn right as you leave the hotel walk past the Kareoke bar and its on the corner) Gerry sings every night . We spent most evenings there. The hotel is a few minute walk from the sea front. The markets on a Monday evening and outside the Adeje Gran on Saturday? Sunday? have the usual suspects. Don't be disappointed if you can't find them. There are pleasant sea front walks once you are passed the harbour area. We thankfully had a relaxing holiday.

Room Tip: High floor facing pool has good views.

Visited this hotel in May this year. We had actually booked the wrong hotel as we thought we were going to the one in Los Gigantes. Arrived late evening. A late buffet was provided. Room was clean and modern and sufficient space for the two of us. Food was excellent with a very wide choice for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Dinner in the restaurant watching the sun set...priceless. We went all inclusive and got our money's worth. We spent the week by the infinity pool with great views over the sea. All staff were very friendly and helpful. We would thoroughly recommend this hotel, and plan to visit again next May. Glad we booked the wrong hotel; a totally relaxing week.

Room Tip: At least floor 4, pool side.

When we first arrived we were informed there was food in the dining room for us. What was there was hard rolls, cold meat & warm water, hotel shouldn't have bothered.Nobody there to welcome us.
Booked this hotel paying extra for high floor, bath, shower, WC & balcony. I still have the E ticket with that information written on my accomadation details. We got a high floor but poor view & no bath. When we asked the receptionist about the bath we were told to speak to ther manager in the morning. We spoke to the Thomson Rep who said he would look into it for us but he said there was no baths. I again showed him the details in my E ticket. He checked it out & informed us the £70 extra was for the high floor & it was in the terms & coditions it would be either a bath or a shower. I could not find any details in my E ticket T & C's. He got a pool view for us but i bet ther were plenty of people who got a sea view & did not have to pay £70 extra for it.I wouldnt have paid the £70 for a high view, i wanted the bath, thats why i paid the extra. When i got home & checked the Thomson web site surprise surprise. Please note rooms do not have a bath only a shower in the accomodation.
Weather cloudy for first 3 days but be aware the sun still burns you. Hotel overall quite nice. Rooms good, pool area good, food average & entertainment average. Usual stuff trying to get you playing bowls, darts etc.Evening entertainment pretty average.
Food usually just warm, chips always cold. Tip is go just at start of meal time and it is usually not too bad. Mexican night was nice & worth going to.
Service from all staff members was excellent, always trying to help & assist.Drinks tasted a bit strange sometimes, vodka tasted like someone had poured perfume in it, horrible. Bacardi was fine but sometimes the drinks were so strong you had to get another coke to water them down. To end it all we were delayed over 3 hours due to a technical problem with the flight home. Overall we enjoyed our stay but the holiday didn't start well with the bath scenario.

Room Tip: Go early for meals so the food is not warm or cold. Pool view is much better.

Very clean well finished hotel. Rooms comfy. Staff amazing and will do anything for you. Entertainment was great but you didnt feel harrased to join in. Pools lovely. plenty of loungers in quiet areas and lively areas. Food choice and standard was amazing. Two hundred metres from nice beach. resort lovely, not at all tacky but with plenty of shops very little noise after eleven. The hotel entertainment stopped at eleven so perfect for thosr lookng for the best of both worlds

Visited this hotel in May this year. Arrived to a grand marble entrance. Very clean and friendly. Heard noises that the lifts were slow, but hey we were on holiday, we wanted to slow down, there is always stairs! Food was excellent with a very wide choice for breakfast, lunch and dinner. We went all inclusive and you could have pretty much any drink you wanted (although cocktails are dubious). I would thoroughly recommend this hotel, and would visit again. It even had an outdoor heated swimming pool! One word of caution though. Around swimming pool area and steps leading up to upper terrace is very slippery. Walk with a purpose! A problem I could forsee was in the height of summer when families visit there would not be enough seating area in the lounge/pub/entertainment area. Overall I would recommend this hotel as it catered for all your needs and is central to shops and restaurants.

Room Tip: Rooms overlooking the pool do not get the sun during the morning, the sun overlooking the car park d...

My wife and I have recently spent a week at the Luabay Costa Adeje. Prior to arriving we had read some really awful reviews and were a little apprehensive as what to expect. We needn't have worried as the hotel was very good, not perfect, but very good. The rooms are spotless (the towels were changed everyday), the food was excellent (not cold and unvaried as some earlier reviewers would have you believe - there was plenty of choice and it was good quality - the venison we had one night was the best I've ever tasted). The pool area and adjacent tiered-sun terraces were clean with adequate sunbeds (the pool bar had plenty of snacks). The entertainment was varied and of a decent standard. Also, the staff were very friendly and helpful.
There were little annoyances which other reviewers made a big deal of: the shower did let a little water out of the small splash-screen - however, it wasn't a flood. The only other thing was the entertainment area backed directly onto the lounge - which made it a little hard to talk if you wanted a quieter night - but you could hear if you sat further away. These were minor irritations and didn't spoil anything.
All in all - I would recommend this hotel to anyone and they would get value for money.

Room Tip: Rooms on higher floors are affected less by the noise from the entertainment area and the side facin...
