“A Fantastic Holiday”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 1, 2012

We are a couple in our early 50s having returned from a 7 day break. The check in was efficient and the staff were very friendly and helpful.
We found the hotel was clean and well maintained. We found that there were plenty of sunbeds and you could snack at the lower bar or go for a meal in the restaurant at lunch. The menu was varied for all nationalities and of very good standard. We stuck with the basic wine which was palatable or you can pay a supplement and get a better choice. The restaurant opened at 7pm for the evening meal which could be a problem for families with young children. The staff were very prompt at removing plates and resetting the tables for the next diners.
The room was very clean and well laid out. There was a sitting area with a TV and fridge and the bathroom was of a good size. The rooms were cleaned daily to a very good standard.
We didn't bother with the evening entertainment but just enjoyed sitting on the terrace enjoying the views and the drinks.
The hotel is built on a hill which adds to its charm but there were adequate lifts to get to all levels. There is even a bottom gate to get easy access to the market (Thursday and Saturdays), shops and beach.
We would highly recommend this hotel and would readily return.

we are a family of three(son is 3) and go to this hotel every jan/feb we always go all inclusive and take a sea view the rooms are clean and spacious the food is of a good standard usual buffet style with a massive selection but also with 2 chefs at separate hot plates 1 cooking meat to order and 1 cooking a different type of fish every night.one hot plate on in morning cooking omelettes to order.inclusive drinks are fine(beer san Miguel) spirits are ok to.snack bar at pool side serves toasties burgers etc all day.staff are always very good
pool areas very good bottom pool a bit cold when we go but top pool heated.we always book the hotel direct one of the benifits being you pay on arrival. will go back and would recommend.

Room Tip: worth taking a sea view or at least the pool as other side is the road

we're a couple in our 40,s who've just returned from a 10 day holiday which on the whole was enjoyable but not fantastic.

Let me start with the negatives - on arrival, we were offered the option of upgrading to a room with a sea view at a cost of 125€. We declined and were allocated a room overlooking a road, car parking and bins. Anyway, I guess that was our choice.
The restaurant can be a bit of a free for all. It's just too small and understaffed to cope at busy meal times. You need to find yourself a table then wait too long to be served a drink. On one particularly busy morning, guests were queuing at the door. Some of Those lucky enough to find a table were clearing plates away themselves and when we eventually got our table we were told they'd run out of fresh coffee and we'd need to use the machine. The staff are obviously under pressure to turn tables around quickly and will therefore only offer you 1 drink with your meal. However, if you order wine, they leave the bottle at your table - presumably so they don't have to come back.

Evening entertainment is held in a dingy downstairs area and is of a very poor standard.
Late check-out is expensive, costing approx 10€/hr.

The hotel is situated up a steep hill, which could be a problem for anyone struggling with mobility.

Now for the positives - there were always sun beds available, the selection of food in the restaurant was excellent and of course there's also a snack bar by the bottom pool,
there's no limit to the number of drinks you can order, although cocktails come straight from a
plastic bottle, the room was clean (with a fridge) waiters offering chips and fresh fruit to guests sunbathing around the pool is a really nice touch.

Would we return? unfortunately, no.

Room Tip: Pay for the Sea View.

Fab view of coast
Nice breeze most of the time due to being higher up than near the beach
htel always kept clean by staff they are busy 24/7 cleaning
no restrictions on number of drinks you order in 1 go.
Ice cream and choice of 2x lollies available (free) at pool bar all day
Entertainment appears to be very good for children with activities such as table tennis, shooting, pool games and treasure hunt organised by staff. Also evening entertainment in in sports bar for children. There was a parrot show at one point.
Always a sun lounger available plus umbrella
Really liked the choice of food for breakfast. Especially the fresh pineapple (when they had it) far more tasty than UK.
Rooms have an empty fridge i used it to store bottles of water from the bar (free)
Hotel is set over 9 floors but lifts cover all. Lifts are spread out so you need to find the best route. No issue though as I liked walking anyway.
Very clean pool and is always supervised by a lifeguard.

Improvements

Large choice of food at buffet but rather repetitive and bland tasting. Ok for a couple of evenings but then I ventured out to restaurants.

There is a decent wine menu in the main reastaurant with plenty to choose from. The prices on the menu are fair. We paid 8 Euros for a bottle of Rioja and the wine was nice. That particular wine would be 22 Euros in a restaurant elswhere to give you an idea.
All the other bars in the hotel could do to have access to this wine menu as they only have the free wine (11.5%) and a bottle of mateus for a fee. I prefer to have quality wine and will pay for it so the munu needs extending to the rest of the hotel in my opinion.

Bottom pool serves snack type food and is very restricted i.e chips, burgers, hotdogs, spit chicken, salad and pizza/paella. After 7 days you realise this.

Sports bar is not really a sports bar as I couldn't watch the football due to childrens shows and there are no TVs anywhere else in the hotel. In fact I'm not even sure if there are screens in their either as never made it through the doors. It closes at 00:00.

I think the option of b&b with access to drinks would be a better option if i was to stay again. You can pay 15 euros per person a day to upgrade to premium brand drinks. If you drink spirits I'd say it would be worth it as I noticed they have remi etc.. Do research prior though to see what it excludes though.

I would probably return again however I think sometimes all inclusive attracts people with ver very very large appetites.

Room Tip: Really depends on if you have children. There are 2 pools the one at the top has rooms which open up...

Just returned from a week at Jardines del Teide where we had a delightful stay during half term. The hotel is spotlessly clean, staff attentive and friendly but not intrusive and anything that you ask for is done quietly without a fuss. For example, we could not get any English channels on our TV so I phoned reception who said they would send someone up. We went to dinner and the TV was retuned in our absence and left on quietly on an English channel to show it had been done. No ceremony just dealt with. Very refreshing. The rooms are spacious and clean. We had a nice view of the pool and sea which we had not paid extra for. The pools are heated and a pleasure to swim in. Lifeguards on duty at both pools during the day. The food is excellent with a huge choice at both lunch and dinner. Always fish and meat which is cooked to your choice in front of you. Excellent. Lots of salads etc. Lots for the kids such as different pastas and sauces as well as the obligatory chips. Overall a really lovely hotel which I would not hesitate to recommend.

Room Tip: If you have kids that can swim, ask for a room on level 5 which has patio doors opening on to balcon...

Very nice hotel, excellent facilities very nice staff, the food choice and quality was the best we've experienced since we started going all inclusive about 4 years ago.
entertainment is not the best, but if your willing to go along with it you can still enjoy yourself,
A bit of a walk to the main area's... shops and bars etc, but the hotel puts on a bus during the day which will take you and pick you up.
The bar also stays open until 1 am .
A mix of nationalities stay at this hotel and there is a lovely atmosphere.

Just got back from our third visit to this wonderful hotel. It is just as good as in previous years, if not perhaps even better! The hotel itself is lovely, clean, spacious and being built on the side of the hill, it always has a lovely breeze and the views are stunning. The food is excellent, especially if you like fish. There's always a huge choice and we never got bored. The staff are friendly and courteous and there are never any queues, even at the bar! Absolutely faultless and we will be going again soon!
