“Not good enough”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed January 5, 2013 via mobile

We vent Jan. 4 with a hope of finding a good, friendly Spanish restaurant, and our first inpression was fairly good; Nice and attentive staff, Nice surroundings and good House wine for a change. My companion had the rabbit and I had the pig suckling. Pig was ok but the rabbit was not nearly cooked enough to be tender and smooth. Waiter had an acccident and flipped over our bottle of wine which made a little fuzz.
We finished the meal and ordered dessert for my wife and espressa for me - dessert came...and then came the bill unasked for, but no espresso except from on the bill:) we asked the waiter for an explanation and voila.. I got an espresso:) no reduction on th Bill for the spilled wine.
Shame, we hoper we had found a gem in the grim choice of restaurants in this area..
They might have had a bad day though so we may pay then avisit again

“the best!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 3, 2012

We have visited this restaurant 4 times now and have had amazing meals. The last two visits I had fillet steak which was divine and cooked to perfection with lovely red wine and salad, the best! We love the decor with Spanish tiles and bull fighting posters and photographs and a great atmosphere, attentive staff and very well priced food and drink. Hope to return one day!!

“Repeat guests”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 20, 2012

It is the third year we are returning to this restaurant and it is a good feeling not to see a change, but to feel back 'home' again. During both visits this time, the meat was consistently very good, cooked as ordered and tender. Since we knew about the generous portions, as starter we shared a salad and some pimentos al patron (generous portion as well - and I finished them all !). The extensive and interesting wine card is mentioned several times and it is certainly worth studying. The service is professional and friendly, always sharing a few words. Overall a good, solid restaurant for meat lovers, worth trying and for us a definite repeat visit.

“Definately worth a try”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 17, 2012

We had a week away in Tenerife, and this restaurant was a short walk from our appartment. We popped in for a late lunch after an early start and were really impressed. Sometimes all you want is something nice and simple, but the Chicken and chips we both had were really good. I dont know what they do with the chicken, but it was very tasty and succulent. The pudding was nice if unspectacular, but we had a lovely meal, so much so that we ate there on two more occasions. Service was spot on, with pleasant helpful staff - not the type that hover around you which ends up being more annoying than helpful.

This restaurant is to be recommended, its not fine dining and doesn't set out to be, however what we had was well cooked and very pleasant. The cost was reasonable, and the service spot on.

We will definately return in the future.

“Jamon, meat, wine!!!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 9, 2012

Have been coming here last 3 years. Nice to have an out of the way good local restaurant. Excellent for meat and has large wine list with better prices than in the coastal restaurants.
We like Spanish - so jamon Iberico, good meat and excellent wine go down all too easily. Try the Matarromera Crianza. We found service good and friendly - if you want fast food go somewhere else. Will be going back next year
