Well, first of all I'd like to remark that this hotel is called just "Tyumen" but not Best Eastern Hotel Tyumen.
Hotel “Tyumen” is a good 4-star hotel (or rather 3-star upon international ratings) and the best one in the city. I have stayed at “Tyumen” many times, and the last one in the beginning of June. Since the city of Tyumen, western Siberia, is the Russian “oil capital”, many foreign businessmen stay at this hotel, so it always full and it’s better to make a reservation in advance.
The standard rooms are quite small, nevertheless they got all the amenities needed for a comfortable stay – color cable TV, working desk, small round-shape table with armchair, air-condition, fully equipped bathroom with a tub and shower and hair-dryer. The mini-bar at first is complementarily filled with one bottle of beer, cola, mineral water thus a pack of nuts and small chocolate bar. Plus there is daily complementarily bottle of water left in room at turndown service. In case a customer needs more drinks – he/she calls the room-service and requests to fill the mini-bar at extra charge with any drinks and snacks. The rate for this room is near 200 US dollars with taxes and including breakfast.
The maid and housekeeping service is well. The rooms are clean. Laundry and dry cleaning is held effectively. Upon arrival, I usually call to housekeeping and send the whole suite case of shirts and costumes for pressing. Coming back in some hours I notice that all the items are already pressed and placed on the hangs into the wardrobe. That’s very convenient whilst in business trips.
There’re two restaurants in the hotel – Café Vienna on the ground floor and The Seasons on the first floor. Breakfast is usually served at Café Vienna and it is great! Besides the standard set consisting of sausage, fried bacon, scrambled eggs, potato, meat cutting, smoked salmon, sturgeon, etc., it also offers some sorts of porridge, frappes, cheese pancakes, various fresh dairy products – yoghurts, soar crème, cottage cheese, kefir, baked milk, as well as juices and fruits. It’s like a homemade food in real, very tasty. Dinner menus in both restaurants are based on typical Russian cuisine with emphasis on local fish plates which deserve to try them. Meat main courses are also not bad. And, of course, there’s always fresh German Krombacher as well as other brands of beer.
The hotel also got bars, fitness room, indoor pool, business center, spa and barbershop. So I can truly recommend it to all the Tyumen visitors.
