“Very good all-round country park with good supporting facilities”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 1, 2012

A large country park on the northern outskirts of Glasgow with many varied an interesting paths, woods and lochs. Very pleasant visitor centre with several different activities available (incl some for children); recently refurbished (and good) children's play area; barbecue facilities; good garden centre and coffee shops too. Ample car parking. Very good day out for all the family; check the website before you go to see what's on..

“Disappointing”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed September 25, 2012

Being a 'southsider' we decided to go to foreign territory for a wee change for a walk with oor new collie dug. Mugdock was a place we have driven past for too many years to remember, and so at my suggestion we went there on Sunday. However the walks are pretty boring and despite having too small lochs, surprisingly the views are not great and my camera was rarely called into action. Keira (the collie dug) wasn't a fan either as there was not great areas for her to run and 'catch-ball' which she loves. The Castle itself was interesting, but the 'tower' was locked, from which you can get great views. Completed our circuit and headed south where the parks are far superior. Linn Park & Rouken Glen park all have much more to offfer with river walks, waterfalls, scenic views for the walkers. Pollok Estate, has Pollok House, the Stables & the Burrell collection for the culture vultures as well as great walks.

“The best place to spend a Sunday”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 15, 2012

Mixture of nature trails, ponds with ducks, outdoor BBQ areas which require booking, and a lovely cafe and play park, and now theatre, this is a great place to spend a Sunday!
