“Fantastic”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed April 26, 2011

I felt i had to write this because of all the bad reviews this hotel has had,i stayed here on an all inclusive holiday for two weeks. We found everyone of the staff to be very helpful and friendly, especially the bar and restaurant staff. The food was really lovely with a huge choice, from healthy to not so healthy. The breakfast choice is amazing with everything imaginable. One thing we did find strange was the fried bread that was on offer had sugar sprinkled over it,and chips were available with every breakfast.Having said that you are not forced to eat an unhealthy breakfast if you choose not too, there are plenty of healthy things available to you.The one gripe i do have if any are that the staff in the dining room dont even give you time to swallow your last mouthful when they are asking if you have finished, this seemed like very good service to begin with but gets a little annoying after a few days. The entertainment was all organised by a man called Eric, with what little resources he has he keeps the kids and adults entertained. There is archery, shooting, pool ect.my two children thought he was great and he always had a smile for them. The hotel itself is a little too far out of town but for about 3 euro you can get a taxi. Our room was really big and clean, beds were comfy and it was very quiet at night. We would definitely go back to this hotel and would recommend it to anyone looking for a cheap getaway.

Great little hotel. Very friendly staff, different food options every night in the all-inclusive with salads, pastas, grilled fish, meats, cold meats, cheeses and a selection of desserts. Our room was cleaned 3 times over our 7 night stay. Erik provided the entertainment during the day and on an evening.
It is a 15 minute walk into the town, beach or harbour where there is a selection of bars and restaurants.

The hotel itself was very pleasant, as someone else’s review said, ‘a bit dated but you expect that in the old town!’ It was always clean, the maids came in every other day. Amazing weather. Very friendly staff. Lovely food although a little repetitive, we never went hungry. The entertainment wasn’t the best but the hotel has a great friendly atmosphere. Nice cold drinks, plenty of sun beds. It’s a bit out of the way from all the lively bars but there are a few smaller Irish and British pubs not too far away, down the hill for quiet drinks. I would defiantly go back, can’t really fault the hotel unless you want to be really picky!

Room Tip: Go all inclusive!

my partener and i were a tad worried after reading reviews but thought we would make the best of it anyway! when we arrived the room was clean but smelt of damp. it was OK, nothing special but basic enough to live in for the next week. they could really do with an update in rooms! we went all inc, and again it was OK. the food was ok to eat, and im quite a picky person, all i can say is get in early as the food gets cold quickly. we ate out a lot and found some lovely places, can remember the name but there is a lovely looking place down at the port, lovely view, but not worth going to! its expensive and the food is nasty, so save yourself the dissapointment! overall out stay was nice. after we spoke to some of the others staying at the hotel, i think we paied over the odds but we still enjoyed our holiday. my last note is you get what you pay for, if you pay basic then that is what you will recieve, but you will have a fab time anyway!
