“Just OK”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed November 5, 2012

We went here 7/10/12 for 1 week. Arrived at 9pm reception all locked up so our name and room number was on the reception door. The key was left on the balcony so basically if you ran in to a problem there is no one on site to help you out. Reception closed at 4pm each day, we asked for more pillows on the second day and never ever got them. The apartments are kepy very clean but they are very basic and the bar closes at about 7.30pm so there is no atmosphere at all here. The apartments are also not as close to everything as we thought. Although we didn't pay an awful lot of money for this and it was kept very clean so can't complain to much. If you have a late flight book an extension on thr room we did as reception closes at 4pm and there is nowhere to shower or leave your bags. We paid 20 euro for the extension on the room. Puerto Del Carmen is fabulous and we will go again but not to these apartments.

had a great weeks holiday here with my boyfriend. i was a bit worried as i read the reviews, but i know you need to take them with a pinch of salt sometimes. This holiday was a very cheap buy, so we were not expecting much, however, the apartment was clean and very well furnished, with plenty of kitchen equipment as required. The shower was powerful and hot and the room was cleaned daily, you can't ask for much more for the price! We didn't cook but used the kitchen for basic breakfasts and lunch making and preparing drinks.

The pool area was great too! really nice barman, I wasn't well for a couple days and he gave my boyfriend directions to the doctor, drew a map and kept asking after me.

The beers were also cheap and poured into large ice cold glasses! i didn't eat at the pool bar except a portion of chips, but my friends did and they said the pizzas were good too.

the location was great, the near by spar shop is handy and well priced and its a short walk to the bars and main beech, without being too close for all the noise etc.

i would come here again, for a cheap, basic holiday! you get what you pay for

Room Tip: get a first floor room if possible as the balconys are better and a little more private

stayed here with my daughter & friends for a week we had a ball, the apartments had everything you need in them, basic but very clean, there was no fault with them at all & there is a spar up the street where you can get your beers & water would recommend these apartments & in a great location & the staff were very attentive. Will be returning next year hopefully

We've just got back from this place. Me, my husband and the couple we went with read a heap of reviews on here before booking and was hoping to agree with the good reviews rather than the bad, sad to say after experiencing the place we can't.

The main words to describe the place is old and scummy. Everything from the bathrooms, furniture, bed sheets, sun loungers to the pool side bar menus where really dated, falling to bits or as I've said generally scummy.

Its location is close to the main strip but not as near to the functional beach as it makes out (the beach it is near is the rock beach - not great for sunbathing, going in the sea or for youngsters to play on).

Would recommend the resort to anyone but not this hotel. Shame really.

Room Tip: We were on a ground floor room looking out onto street and a wall out back, if you fancy something a...

me and my partner stayed at oasis apartments for 7 nights from 3rd sept-10th sept and couldnt fault them, they were clean and very quiet, only thing we didn't like was lack of privacy on the terrace outside our apartment but for all the time you're in the apartment as there's so much to do in lanzarote that you're hardly ever in anyway. the reception staff were very nice and helpful and charlie's lovely in the pool bar, just wish we would have been there for 2 weeks instead of 1 week, but there's always next year, we will definitely go back to lanzarote, loved it!!!

Room Tip: if you dont mind stairs go for upper apartments with more private balconies

I stayed at the Oasis Apartments for 9 nights from 31st August - 9th September 2012. We arrived at the hotel around 11am which was alot earlier than our check in time but we were shown straight to our room! The reception staff throughout our whole holiday were very friendly and helpful. Our room was basic but lovely and just what we needed for a self catering holiday! We didn't eat in the room though because there was far too many lovely restaurants to chose from! The room either has a nice balcony or terrace. There is a living area with a sofa, TV and a dining table! There was a kitchen that was more than adequate if you want to cook in your room! The bathroom was small but perfect for us, nice powerful shower! The bedroom was good, nice comfy bed and loads of wardrobe space! There is a safe in the room which cost 20 euros but you get 10 euros back when you check out. The apartments had a lovely pool, it was deep all over though but there was a kids pool that was nice for a dip to cool down! The pool bar was brilliant, had a decent choice of food....nice full English and did nice baguettes! Had lots of nice drinks to choose from and ice creams and ice lollys! The staff in the bar were brilliant! There is also a pool table in the pool area which is a good touch!

The apartments are in a great location, there is a little shop round the corner which has a good variety but there is a bigger supermarket just a touch further if you want to do a proper shop! The apartments are only a 5 minute walk to the beach and the main strip!

The beach is gorgeous, the sand is darker but it is still lovely and smooth! The strip goes on for miles all the way to the old town then onto the marina....such a lovely walk!

You will be spoilt for choice of where to eat and drink but I would like to make a couple of suggestions! You must visit Cafe La Ola!! It's is on 2 floors! The top restaurant has a varied menu of meat, fish, pasta etc! Had a gorgeous meal here and there was a pianist and a singer during dinner which was lovely! Another night we ate at the restaurant on the bottom which was so lovely! It is such a stunning place and it has a swimming pool too! This menu is more like Thai type food, noodles, curry etc! Absolutely gorgeous! They also put on shows like belly dancing which was good! We stayed there most of the night after our dinner having drinks! The best bit about this restaurant is the view, it is right on the rocks over looking the beach! Breath taking!

Another couple of restaurants definitely worth a visit is Dolce Vita, Oriental World and there is a steak house right next door which is really good! Also we went to a lovely restaurant at the marina, I can't remember the name of it now but it looks like a boat and has a BBQ outside.....go there, the food is delicious!

There are loads of good bars too....Africa bar was brilliant, did deals on drinks and was such a stylish place! Mulligans Irish bar was brilliant, they had a regular band in there from Sunday - Friday nights called The Usual Suspects! They were amazing, especially the lady singer! Other good bars are Tequila bar, Ruta 66! There is a square of bars there called Central Atlantico! This is ok but depends on how old you are! I am only 30 but I felt old there :0) they are bars that give you free cocktails and shots and do drink deals which is great but it's cheaper alcohol and you can tell the difference! What I didn't like about it was that the PR's were far too pushy! Wouldn't take no for an answer and were too much so we tended to avoid it! There are alot of PR's outside the restaurants but most of them are fine and if you say no they leave you alone!

The apartments are only a 10 minute cab ride from the airport which is ideal and cost around 13 euros!

To sum up, I definitely recommend these apartments to anyone! Puerto Del Carmen in Lanzarote is an amazing place, you must go! Enjoy!!

hi i stayed here from 31/8/12 to 6/9/12. i think its a great place and its brilliant value. it has a decent sized pool area that was usually quiet which was peaceful and relaxing. the pool sized bar was v big with a large selection of drinks and food! we paid €203 for 7 nights which was 101.50 each!!!! super value need i say more... The only single fault I could find was no air con. Which to b fai we expected. We got a fan from reception for €16 which was a meagre substitute, blowin hot air around apartment! If I return to lanza I will defo get air con as an apartment without ai con is stuffy and to an extend dangerous if u come from a cooler climate and yur not used to heat, as u may get sun stroke or even a panic attack from being run down and/or dehydrated

Room Tip: air con is a must have!!!! without exception
