Stayed here from the 3rd of Jan to the 10th with the Ryans from wexford. We had little or no sleep for the week because of the people upstairs. They are Morrocan residents working in the local bars and nightclubs and living in B11 coming and going all hours of the night. We were in B5 underneath with two small kids. They had no consideration for anyone we asked them to turn down the music and they just ignored us. Thats not all there was furniture being moved around banging doors i could hear a womans high heels clicking on the floor so loudly i even went to the pharmacy to get earplugs it was that bad. The reception area you can forget it because there is none everyday i went down and it was closed. I rang the local contact person Lydia and asked to be moved she was no help at all saying all the other apartments were full up. Very disappointed and will not be returning.

Room Tip: Stay away form B11 when booking

have stayed here twice now with another trip booked for end of jan. the apartments are all privately owned and ones ive stayed in furnished to a high standard. the grounds are secure and well maintained( no roaches here!)or union jack shorts with load music come to that!
its situated just over the road from the beach, bars and eateries are plentiful.
yep there are steps but unless you are in a wheel chair you will be fine.
roll on january

Caleton Blanco are all now privately owned properties.A very safe gated complex.
The place is lovely peaceful and tranquil. The grounds are well maintained and the pool area is clean and well maintained also.
The pool area was never busy- in my opinion this is perfect !! never more than a family group and a couple when i was down there or observed from my apt.
There is steps up to the apartments from the main gate/ beach side. but in all honesty not a problem really.....just be ready for them with your suitcases on arrival and departure.
also there is a gate at the back of the complex if you are in block c which may be easier for you to use.

The location could not be better. Just over the road is main beach Playa Grande
To the right of the apartments is the direction of the scenic harbour and Old Town and the lovely long cliff walk to Puerto Callero. ( a must if you like walking and not that far really)
To the left of the apartments is the promenade walk all the way to Matagorda ,carry on a little bit more further to the airport runway and watch the planes come in and land. You could however carry on to arrecife if you are super fit ??? and get a bus/taxi back.

Just outside the apartments are various restaurants and very nearby are various supermarkets.
Literally once again just outside of main gate is the taxi rank and bus stop. All buses stop out front and you never have to wait long for a taxi to stop if one is not immedietely there.
A taxi from airport cost 16 euros.

The apartments are not disturbed by rowdy noisy local nightclubs. However if you are near the front of Caleton Blanco there is a bar very very near that has dreadful karaoke going on late every night. Just make sure that you shut the windows of your apartment everynight.

I will stay in Caleton Blanco again and would not hesitste in recommending it.

I'll state all the positives and negatives in order :) starting with negatives as there is only a few:
1) STAIRS..I know this has been touched upon in other reviews but there is a hell of a lot of stairs, it's only really a major problem on arrival and departure with cases but it's something to consider as there is no alternative.
2) No air conditioning..BUT there are fans in every room and it's something you know before you arrive so can't really complain about.
3) For being self-catered, there's no oven, just 2 hob rings and a microwave (which wasn't an issue for us, but something for others to consider)

Okay, so now on to the positives:
1) all the rooms are spacious/wardrobes are MASSIVE and the beds are comfortable.
2) It's clean, all furniture is there (no bulbs in lamps but we didn't need them anyway)
3) The location is PERFECT, it's literally RIGHT on the beach, like right on there so the views are incredible.
4) The pool is very large and there is a separate children pool the whole pool area is clean and a decent size.
5) The pictures on the site we booked through (holidaylettings.co.uk) were so accurate, so there were no surprises when we arrived.
6) There is a generous size safe attached to the wall in the utility room.

So overall, we really did love it, 5 of us went and it didn't feel too small, there was 2 sinks, a decent shower and lots of sitting/relaxing room, the balcony was an excellent size too!! I would recommend this apartment to anyone!! We went from 29th August-7th September and it was still lively but not too much as children started going back to school so was perfect!! :D

We stayed here for 2 weeks and would definately return. The apartment was well situated and had a washing maching which was a bonus. The first week no one else was there so we had the entire pool area to ourselves. The complex is near the old town but within easy walking distance of the new area. We were in apartment c12 which is on the road at the back and so very few steps. It was a quiet and private apartment. My only complaint was that the floors hadn't been washed which I had to do on day 1 as they were very dirty as were our feet after walking on them!
