“Booked A private owned aparttment”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 27, 2013

Just returned from a week here in the La Florida, We had read many reviews and from past holidays we knew exactly where these were located, We loved the location but where worried about some of the bad reviews, however after a bit of research we found a person who owns an apartment here and rents it out to holiday makers, and this was a piece of heaven, exact same apartment as the others except that the furniture and decor was of superior, lovely soft beds, spotless linen and towels, 4 ring cooker and oven, washing machine etc .. the other extras was ceiling fans in living room and bedroom, and he has told us he intends to put in air condition that will be coin operated so if you use it you pay .. if you don't then you don't, We had beautiful sun loungers on our balcony, 42 inch plasma tv screen with DVD player and complementary DVD's, OK we paid €275 for our week here, but we had an option to pay €160 for the basic apartments, and this was worth every penny, pure bliss, everybody agrees this complex cant be beaten for location and the pool area, so if you want a basic apartment in this complex then you get it cheap, if you want 4/5 luxury then you pay a bit more for it ... for us this complex is the place to be, and for us the private apartments are the way to go ..

Room Tip: Book private .. The complex is excellent, some of the hotel/holiday rooms are dated ... Go private a...

I booked these after reading many reviews on Trip Advisor, so I REQUESTED a room overlooking the Pool & Sea as I was aware that this block was furthest away from the road, and the noise.

We arrived at 8pm and were booked in by a young girl, I asked her if we had been allocated a room of my request and she said she had not seen the room request, but that it was the head Cleaner who done the room allocation. I showed her the print out I had brought with me, and she said that we had been allocated a room with a lovely sea view, I asked her if it was on the road and she said no, it has a great view of the sea though, and if we were not happy to come back in the morning and see if we could move rooms.

So off we went to room 104.................. Which was, ..... on the main road!!

We unpacked as we always do on arrival, but regretted this the very next morning!

This was the room from hell...... Directly above not only a busy road, but also directly about the entrance to the main SUPERDINO supermarket below, in fact our balcony was directly above the main shutters to the entrance.
This meant that we heard the early morning cleaners arrive and got stuck into cleaning the floors using the big floor cleaning machine starting at 7am every morning, then the deliveries would arrive everyday, and also the frozen food deliveries with the big motor on top of the vans that was smack outside of our apartment balcony, pumping all of the fumes in for 45 mins while they unloaded the stock.

We were also not far from a Nightclub, but fortunately that was only open on the Saturday night we were there, but there was noisy groups of people in the streets till we got up for our flight at 6am.

If we had had a room in the 200's block of the 300's Block this would have been a COMPLETELY DIFFERENT review!!

We went to lie by the pool one day, which was located between the 200's block and 300's block and could hear NOTHING at all, no road noise, no delivery vehicles, no passers by, it was lovely and peaceful.

SO......... I would suggest, YES certainly book these apartments as they are in a great location, very roomy and spacious, towels changed at least 3 times in a week, and sheets once, maids every other day. The kitchen was fully equipped with everything that you need, nice pool and well maintained and clean.

JUST NOT ANY ROOMS THAT START WITH 100......!!!! :)

Room Tip: MAKE SURE YOU REQUEST AN APARTMENT IN THE 200 OR 300 BLOCKS these are lovely and quiet with good vie...

Second time back here and not dissapointed.
Requested a poolside and sea view and got it.
Spottlessly clean throughout.
Wonderfull little pool with sun all day.
Beautifully quiet and a stones throw away from the old town.
Fabulous.
Only tiny critique would be the hard beds, but hey ho after sampling a few of the cheap gin n tonics it wasnt a problem!

We stayed here in oct/nov '13.
Great apartments for the value . On arrival you might be wondering what you let yourself in for but behind the reception and up those stairs is a pool area which is spotless . Staff that are friendly and helpful . A bar that serves food at such a reasonable price that it's not worth your while to go cooking a breakfast or lunch. The girls in the bar are lovely and up for a chat at any time .
The apartments are well equipped. On arrival they have a bottle if water waiting for you-
I can honestly say I have stayed in 3 and 4 star apartments that are not as good as here. Really worth considering and I for one will be returning ...

We just recently stayed here in these apts, the end of october 2013. we had read previous comments about it, but at the price we paid for it (very cheap) we said we would just give it a go.

When we first got there, the reception was closed, but they had a man waiting for us to give us our keys, when we entered the apts, i was pleasantly surprised, they were very clean and had everything you needed. the only downfall to the place was there was no air con, i mean the time of year we were there was fine, but if you were here mid summer i think it would be too hot.

your towels get changed every 3 days, and the maids come in 5 days a week and make your bed and tidy and change things in the bathroom. they were all very friendly and helpful there, i would not hesitate to go back there again, which we are planning for next year. i think for the ppl who do give this place bad reviews, if its the ritz you want then dont pay low prices, we stayed in torremolinos in july, and i paid loads for the place there, and it would not have been worth 1/3 of this place, very happy with our stay here, we are for sure coming back here again.

(tip, its very in old town, taxi to main strip about 3euro)

I had read some of the reviews and was a bit worried, but I needn't have! we arrived in the early afternoon and our apartment was ready. Yes its a bit basic, but, if you are there for the sun all you need is a basic kitchen and a bed!.

The kitchen had a microwave, small cooker, kettle, toaster, and small fridge, so, we were good. there is a supermarket right next door, and you could get everything you needed there, fruit, freshly baked bread, water, whatever.

I had read the reviews about there being no lift, and yes, this is correct, but, its really only the arriving and checking out that might be the problem and, if the girl on reception explains to you that, rather then climbing the big stairs with your suitcase, if you go out the front door, past the supermarket and up 10 steps up the hill, you can go into the security gate with the code and bypass most of the steps, and then depending on what floor you are on there isn't that many, but, IF YOU HAVE AN ISSUES WITH STAIRS/STEPS/HILLS DO NOT BOOK THIS.

I had also seen somebody discuss the pool and "holding beds" the beds are locked away each evening and are unlocked at 9am, if you are lucky enough to be up and about, then yes go down and get a bed, but there is no holding of beds, some people get their bed and then head back up to finish their breakfast!

The only down side to this was the beds. they put these plastic mattress covers on the mattress to protect the beds, and they make it very uncomfortable, but, we got around this by actually putting the very top cover of the bed underneath us, you really only need the top sheet to cover you in anyway, after this we had no problem!!!

I have to say, I would go back and stay here no problem.

We stayed for a week from October 22nd and had no issues.I did request a seaview room before hand and got one so we had a top floor room.Having stayed here before we knew what to expect and for the price paid we have no complaints. We wanted a quiet week in the sun and thats what we got,yes its basic but it is a budget place and doesnt pretend to be anything different.I will say the beds are a bit on the hard side though so that would be my only complaint really but it didnt spoil our break. We would use this place again in future.

Room Tip: ask for a topfloor room with seaviews
