“Great holiday”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 3, 2012

Me and two friends stayed here in the last week of July for a relaxng girlie holiday.

The hotel was great with good sized rooms and balcony, always enough sunbeds with a nice pool and a good location. We stayed self catering so can't comment on the all inclusive food, but we did buy lunch and drinks at the hotel bar a couple of days which was good and reasonably priced.

The cleaners came everyay apart from Wednesday and Saturday which was fine, but did not change our sheets all week. Always got clean towels when we wanted though.

Only bad point is there is no air conditioning. This is probably the only thing that would stop me staying at the hotel again as it was very hot in the rooms! We also asked for a kettle on our first day and this was never given to us, though in fairness to the hotel we did not enquire about this a second time.

Overall this is a good hotel aimed at family's and couples. We were the only group of friends at the hotel though this didn't bother us as we enjoyed our stay and it was ideal for what we needed.

Room Tip: Ask for a room not facing the main road. We were and it was quite noisy from the traffic at night.

Just had 10 great days at the Flora, we had no complaints and will be going back, we were in Flora 1 where the bar and restaurant are, we found all the staff polite and friendly and the apartments clean. The food is what you get in a 3star and in the evening there was a themed evening meal Asian, Spanish, European. I took my grandson and Mark and his team were fantastic with him and all the other children, they really did make his holiday, there is entertaintment also for the adults day and evening.Flora is up a rarther steep hill, use a taxi to come back up if needed they are cheap in resort, about 15 mins away is a great little beach where the chilren can do some crabbing we fed the fish which swin close to the shore we saw some lovely "Dory Fish"

Room Tip: It is busy in Flora 1 where all the entertainment is but Flora 2 is more quiet and tranquill, there...

The THB Flora is a really nice hotel but could still need some improvement, we where put in Flora 2 over the other side of the road where there was only a pool along with a load of rooms but no pool bar, the pool bar was in Flora 1 along side the restaurant where breakfast dinner and tea along with both hot and cold snacks are served. On a night the bar closed at 11'0 clock, as soon as it hit 11 the manger had closed the doors and had switched the light of and they were wanting people to go into the night club that's just next to the pool side bar. The entertainment was alright if you have little kids and don't have the money to spend on a meal out. Whilst at the Flora 10 of the 14 nights the bin men where collecting rubbish at 5am all the time. Bar staff where all friendly and so where the animation team once they got to know us they made sure we where all alright non stop, the only thing about the bar staff is that they put way to much ice in all drinks.

Room Tip: *if you don't want ice in your drinks just tell the bar man *if you get to hot in the night you...

had a great time during our 2 weeks there
Had looked at a few poor reviews before hand and had a ltittle trepidation but thankfully it was great
The food was bang on for a 3 * and plent of choice and variation over the 2 weeks
Every night the food has a different theme e.g asian night, european night etc and all food is fresh and hot.The soups were superb and the rstaurant is clean and spacious
The cleanliness of the whole complex is of 5* quality and the cleaning of rooms is of equal standing
The entertainment team were superb and i would like to thank Martin.mark & Sophie, they were superb and added the personal touch to their super programme. They "adopt" the kids and cannot do enough for them, they all love the kids club and mini disco.
You may find better adult entertainment but please all you whingers its a 3 star hotel, not the palladium
Met some great people and had a great time

Room Tip: ask for reception side of the complex as its a bit of a hike from the other side of the road under a...

Hi !! let me first make this clear..i have never reviewed a place and i am the sort of person who reads reviews and says.." hows this clown ". So i will endeavour to make this worth reading.

Location -Firstly when i read some reviews i read about how the hotel is "set on a rather steep hill", well ...let me point out to my lesser educated friends that have reviewed this and made this a gripe..Its a volcanic island !! Volcano's are large land masses that point out the ground. I seriously doubt the Hotel are to blame. so if you want to stay here..be prepared..do your homework and understand thats how it is.

Facilities - The Hotel apartments, general areas , pool etc etc are all in pretty good condition, a few odd smells here and there, but that could well be some of the people ?? your guess is as good as mine. but over all i wouldnt and cant fault the place, the grounds seem to be well tended and clean. The pool is big enough, deep enough and cold(ish ) to have a good time in.
The Sunloungers are ample..pity about the buffoons that feel its nessasary to rush for them like they are making a stake for the best gold panning area in the early 1800's, people you need to get a grip. If you think laying a piece of fabric ( towel ) on a chair makes it yours , your living in Lala land ! or..... consider taking a walk to the beach or getting out and about.

Food - 50/50...hit or miss kinda stuff !! had good meals...had poor meals...but theres enough and its expected for what you pay. Maybe the place good try and glam it up a bit. just a suggestion.

Staff - My bone of contention...!!!!! get greeted by a nice guy....lovely lady cleaned our room..always with a smile, had a laugh..even though we didnt have a clue what she was talking about..my spanish was as good as her english , but the international langauge of " The smile " conquers all these boundries.
BUT !! the waiting staff and Bar staff....you lot need to learn some manners and how to smile... it doesnt take much effort and you will achieve more trust me. To the waiter that upset my missus...you my friend are in the wrong business, prehaps a weather monitor in the southern reaches of antartica would suit you...you can scowl all day there to your hearts content. Management should address this.

Animation team.... you guys deserve a round of appluase..!!! that kind of stuff always makes me cringe..but you know what. you guys did a sublime job and even got sarcastic old me to take part. You guys make a big difference and deserve the plaudits. Well done. from toddlers to pensioners you really got round the people.

So would i recommend the Flora....YES. Could it Improve....YES...but its small things. But small things can mean alot to people on holiday.

Thanks to all those who made it great.

PS.....Smile barman !

Room Tip: its a lottery really

Well what can i say about this apart from FANTASTIC!!
We stayed for 11 nights SC staying in the AI side of the hotel, so cannot comment on the food aspect.
I have never stayed at such a clean hotel ever, cleaners came to your room everyday apart form Wed & Sundays, towels were changed every other day.
The pool are was lovely, always ample sun loungers. We had a suncare advisor aka mel come every other day to discuss sun protection and if you were burnt he would give you some of his special cream! Also on hand was your very own lifeguard, aka the hoff!
The "animation/ammunition" team, including mark, marty and sophia were on hand to try keep everyone entertained at stages through the day, including water polo, aqua aerobics, shooting, Mark was the main man, where as Sophia hated children, so being a childrens entertianer slightly worried me!?
Location: Located on top of a very steep hill, this is not good for people with walking difficulties, however taxis are readily available and only cost around €3.00 to the main strip itself.
Recommended: Eating out...New World Chinese, and also our favourite was Chiquito, staff lovely, prices extremley cheap. Drinking wise it has to be Mulligans on the strip, a great Irish bar with a fantastic band!
Now for the best part of our holiday, ADGY the receptiionist! What a character! he actually made our holidays with his very witty sense of humour, if i could of packed him in my suitcase and brought him home i would of done!!
Would i stay in this hotel again!? IN A FLASH!!

Ok... So my wife and I went with two kids (9 mths and 2 1/2) it took us nearly 3 weeks to book somewhere that

1) had a balcony
2) had two bedrooms
3) had kids facilities

Yes it's a steep hill outside down to beach but no steeper than most places. It's as steep as mums will put up with on a steel high street for a steady 5 minute uphill walk.

So.....

the pool area is more than adequate with plenty of sunbeds for all.

We went all inclusive and the food was more than adequate 6/7 nights. Good choice of chicken, fish and all other meat most nights inclusding local dishes like paella and mussels etc.

Breakfast .. Superb every day with full English and cereal etc.

Put on nearly 1/2 stone from eating here!!

Martin and Mark etc in the entertainment team work their socks off and accommodate even smaller kids like Scarlett who was a bit small for activities but showed interest.

In short... This is a great place for the money you pay. If you want 5 star.. Pay 5 star prices. It's clean, friendly and entertaining for small kids, what more do you want ?
