“family app?”

bad points 1st asked for a quiet room, this meant hidden behind a tree, there were far quieter than that, tip, get a top room, as anyone above throws any sound into the lower rooms, the views better upstairs anyway,, 2days in an entire male rugby team came, took over the pool for a day regardless of the kids and sunbathers , swearing and water everywhere, the staff did NOTHING and left them in the pool way after closing, result, no sunbathing and around 10 upset kids who darnt use the pool, next day the team were much better and were fine, but thanks to one of the players who had family at home and realised, not the staff who did not seem to care i realise this may be the booking agents fault but it wasnt good the way it wasnt dealt with, good points, great pool, clean apps and great location,i have used around 6 apartments over the years in lanzarote, and these were better than most, the little turkish waiter in particular was very helpful, despite the above with the rugby lads (which must be a one off really)i will use this place again, ill book a top sea view app and relax....

Room Tip: get a top room, at the front, or the rear of 1st block overlooking the pool and sea

, Manager at Lomo Blanco Apartments, responded to this review, July 8, 2012
Dear Sir/Madam,
Let us thank you for your review on HG Lomo Blanco.
However, although we felt embarrassed by the conduct of these clients we must disagree with you on your comment about the staff not seeming to care. It is unthinkable that we give no importance to such an unpleasant affair. We are a Holiday Center and the welfare of our guests is vital. Actually, all the staff was repeatedly insisting in them to behave and to respect the rest of the customers spending their holidays. It seems thou, that we felt in this issue and therefore we apologise for it.
Anyway, it is obvious that in spite of all this, you do like the apartments and we are pleased to know you are coming back. Also, we would like to thank you for your fair description and valuation of the apartments.
Sincerely,
Management

I am just back from a week staying at the Lomo Blanco with my partner. We stayed in Block B which had recently been refurbished. The apartment was bright, airy and spacious with everything that was needed for an enjoyable stay. The kitchen was fully equipped with all the necessary items, a hop, fridge, kettle etc. The bathroom had an amazing power shower that was much needed after a day in the sun! It also had a hairdryer and even a supply of toiletries on arrival including toothbrushes, toothpaste, soaps and gels. Rooms were cleaned 5 out of the 7 days we were there. The whole complex was kept to a very high standard and we did not see a piece of dirt during our whole stay! There are two pools on the complex, both are lovely and are both filled with salt water.
I have nothing but good things to say about this accommodation and I would would gladly recommend it and I hope to return soon myself.

Room Tip: You should look to stay in Block B as they have recently been refurbished!

We stayed in Block B after emailing hotel in advance, It was a lovely complex, clean and well looked after, the staff couldn't be more helpful, and we had the resident entertainment with Jimmy who was excellent and very witty, kept us all entertained!!! The room was lovely and clean as was the complex. This was an excellent place to stay and would recommend this to friends and family. The only annoying part was that people laying towels on sunbeds and leaving them empty for a couple of hours, stopping others from using them during this time. Getting down to the front where bars located could be difficult as very steep roads to get down or alternative using the steps as short cut still very tiring bit great excercise! The American Indian Cafe the best value and best food to eat in, where you can watch programs on big screens then a band plays later on (Question Band) who are excellent and funny. Will be booking to go back next year!

Room Tip: Rooms in Block B very quiet cannot comment on the others as didn't hear any noise or loud music...

my wife and i stayed here for a week and found it very nice place to stay, rooms in the old complex are 2 story and top ones i go for as i never see cockroaches in higher apts,as they are on floor level, there is 2 areas here 1 is the old where we stayed and newer block behind this ,looks nice enough,we have stayed here twice now the first time with the wife, the second a yr l8er with the whole family (2 kids).
the rooms are big enough, living room has breakfast table and 4 chairs and cooking/washing area tv in room which is pay to view(beware there r adult channels),bed room is basic, needs more sockets, bathroom clean and tidy, everything u need is there,air-conditioning is extra, and there is a safe deposit box in ur bedroom, think it's 20 a week, well worth getting for peace of mind, the out side sun terrace is just lovely with a table and 4 chairs and a fold away washing line if needed ,we used it for drying our swim stuff, pool area is ok,its hard getting a sunbed if u don't get up early,at least u don't need to pay for um as most places u do .there is a poolside bar and here u can order ur food from to as they prepare in the main kitchen next door, basic food (pizza's) chips are fine ,don't expect fine dinning from here lol , there is wifi connection and also access to 3 computers near reception(at a cost).Entertainment, done by Jim is 1st class and there something being done every night ,quizzes, karaoke, and shows, the beach is a good walk away as u leave the complex turn left,to the corner go down the steps and work ur way down into town ,about a 15min walk.there is fantastic places to eat in this resort and a few gr8 bars , but i'll let you find ur own bar's restaurants as there are to many to mention. i would recommend these apartments..

Just home from one week stay in lomo blanco. Great holiday and good apartments. The complex itself is very good with accessible amenties, friendly staff(particularly bar staff-andres is cool). The look and feel of lomo blonco is warm and colourful. Granted its a 3+ star facility but air-con would be very welcome particulary as we had to keep our roadside window open to stay cool and were woken every morning by trucks.(very early). Some rooms could do with an upgrade and tiles need replacing. Our only complaint! Otherwise great stay and centrally located to both towns. Lomo blonco should be buzzing in June and will defo go back in October.

Room Tip: Dont stay on a ground floor apartment Try to book room with air-con Avoid room with roads outside...

We stayed in May 2012 at the Lomo Blanco Apartments and we found the apartmenst to be an excellent place to stay. Situated between the Old and New Towns , its location is great. Its main asset, i its staff who are excellent. Karim and Jimmy in the bar area are fantastic. The reception , catering and cleaning staff are excellent. The food is good and the hotel is very relaxed. The rooms are spacious and very clean. Would we stay again - YES. There are a few things that the Management miht look at - (1) Charging for TV usage is not a good idea (2) turn down the music beside the pool/eating area outside, it was very loud. Over, a great place, made better by Karim, Jimmy, the cleaning staff and the reception staff.

Room Tip: Room 141 where we stayed was a lovely room, nice and sunny in the evening. Cool during the day.
