wondering if there is any wifi available in rooms. We are due to arrive next week so could someone also tell me if there is still entertainment going on in the evenings and are there any bars etc close by.
Thanks

this was our 2nd time at sol lanzarote. enjoyed our holiday . room was lovely with a bit of a sea view. cleaning staff always helpful and polite. dining staff always smiling however we found the food quality had declined since our last holiday there so would be enclined to go self catering next time.reception staff very polite and friendly.entertainment was excellent . would recommend hotel to anyone . location couldnt be better.lots of the sun loungers were broken so was difficult sometimes to get a sun lounger. had an unfortunate incident where one of the staff knocked our door once and just opened the door whilst we were getting ready for dinner and then afterward had to have our door cards changed to enter into our rooms and no apologies for it happening even.

Room Tip: our room was 1st floor above the dining room was quiet and a lovely location

My wife and I spent a week at the hotel. We expected a standard room when we booked with jet2.com holidays but got an apartment within the hotel. The room for two was very spacious, with fridge, microwave and grill/hob. Kettle and toaster. These were very useful but as we were half board, didn't use the microwave or grill, but would have been useful for supper etc. the balcony was very spacious with a view to the rear of the hotel which overlooked the hills in the distance and the resort accommodation. We initially hoped for a sea view (not booked) but the view was very interesting with much to see. The were three pools. Deep for adults, shallow for kids and 1.5m deep for family. A bit smaller than expected but adequate. Mid September was quiet in all areas so the pools were never busy. (for peace and quiet, don't go July and August). I would recommend the hotel. Booked through jet2. Com, the whole experience was very good. The hotel is located on costa montagora. This end of the resort of puerto del carmen is pleasant and quieter than costa grande and the old town. Great for walks along the sea front. Excellent access to the beach from the hotel. Drinks at the local bars were very cheap. Eg you could get a large beer (approx 1 pint) for 1.5euro (approx £1.20). Food also very cheap breakfasts for as low as 3euros ( self-caterers).

Room Tip: Ground floor rear rooms have very poor (basement-like) views and should be avoided. Upper floor room...

I stayed in sol Lanzarote over 10 years ago and had really good memories and was delighted to go back with my family. The location is fabulous, what more could you want with 4 swimming pools to choose from that would suit anybody. Go through the gates and you are on the beach. Beautiful. It's only a few minutes walk to Matagorda where the selection of shops, bars and restaurants are very good. You really don't have to go into peurto del carmen even though it's only about 7 mins in a taxi. My only two snags was 1 - the breakfast. There seems to be loads of varities of food but the fried food range was very poor. So much so that we didn't eat there afterwards and 2 - the entertainment was very poor. Maybe because I had so many fond memories of years ago whilst my children were small. The good thing is is that there are lots of places to go in nearby matagorda. The airport is only a stones throw away and lovely to see the planes come and go band amazingly the noise is not a problem. Overall, we had a really nice time and the good things by far outweigh th bad things. Would highly recommend it and will be going back.

Room Tip: There are some really good views of the sea and also you can get the sea if you book rooms from --0...

Its just plain good value and fun for young family's looking for a break in the sun. The rooms are spacious and beds are firm. The sea view is very good from the higher levels. Only negative regarding rooms is the bathrooms do need renovating.

Food is generally good and acceptable to young children. Parents may wish for more, but there are many restaurant's local to the hotel to choose from.
Staff are very good and understanding.
The young people will love the entertainment and activities.
The beach is fantastic, the water clear.

Room Tip: The extra for a full Sea View is worth the money. DO ask for a room away from the games area!

A lovely hotel with plenty to do for the family orinatated holiday. Right on the beach and near to everything you need its almost perfect. The rooms are okay but could do with a tidy up and some of the staff are moody but this could be that they are tired. Overall a good hotel with a good atmosphere.

Room Tip: Ask for pool facing its much nicer for the views but if you dont like aircraft noise then ask for fr...

I have stayed twice in Sol Lanzarote and I intend to go back this November. It is in a fantastic location right on the promenade (out the back gate from the pool area). It is also amazing to watch the planes coming in to the nearby airport but the noise is not a factor at all so dont worry about the proximity to the airport. Also in other reviews they mentioned the food...again there are so many restaurants reasonably priced nearby I would not let that put you off either. Matagorda is quieter for relaxing during the day but the livelier Puerto Del Carmen is a taxi or bus ride away for out at night. Sol Lanzarote is reasonably priced and i think it is definately worth paying a little extra for the sea view.

Room Tip: Pay a little extra for sea view
