Have just come back from this hotel with my husband and its one of the better hotels. We stayed in this hotel 10yrs ago and it says a lot for the hotel they still have the same staff.Nothing is to much hassle for the staff and the whole hotel is spotless even the grounds round it. Meals can be swapped for lunch so you can eat out at night which you dont normally get this choice. would i stay here again a ery big yes

The hotel is set at the end of the strip a pleasant to walk along the front. The staff are friendly and helpful. All the public areas were clean and tidy, lots of plastic flowers. The room was clean but the decor a little tired. The 4star hotel is because of the pools, gym, day and night time entertainment, which is good. The room is 3star you have to rent the safety box, mini bar fridge & tea making fascilities, bit of a let down. Breakfast is very good, wide range of food for all taste. Good variety of fruit although several were slighty frozen definately a 4star.The evening meal was 4star for meat and fish eaters. 7 salad dishes all had meat or fish in them, often the potatoes had ham in it, the broad beans and peas had bacon in it. For vegetarians 2star, pasta 4nights out 7, one night spagetti was luke warm, difficult to make up a meal, very dissapointed and bored. Enjoyed the pool etc wish I had eaten out a couple of times

Room Tip: The rooms on the right hand side looking at the front are v.quiet, ask for a high floor.

Dear guests,

Thank you for writing your opinion in this site, for us it is very important to know the feed back of our clients, in order to try to adapt our services to their demands.

Regarding your stay, we regret to know that we could not offer you the service that you expected, sometimes is difficult with so many nationalities. About the charges in the room for the different services, we have checked that they are similar at the rest of the hotels of our area, but of course we take not of your opinion to study if we can improve in this situation.

We would also inform you that we are renovating the rooms of the hotel, eliminating the carpets and putting wood floors, changing decoration, colours, bathroom… so if you change your mind and decide to visit again, we are sure you will be very satisfied with the change.

Thank you again and our best regards from Lanzarote,
Lorea Santos

Stayed at Hotel San Antonio 26/4 - 3/5 to celebrate 20th Wedding Anniversary and must say we had an excellent experience.I previously emailed hotel to tell them we were celebrating an anniversary and asked if it was possible to be allocated a room on the 4th floor with a nice Sea View, not only was this granted but waiting in our room was a nice bottle of Cava in an ice bucket with two flute glasses and some fruit, a nice touch that created a good impression, must say the room was immaculate with a king size bed and an extra large window with a wonderful sea view.Throughout the week the room was serviced to a high standard, opted to hire the in room fridge and at around 1.50 euros per day found this to be good value and not in any way excessive.Found all staff in hotel to be more than friendly and nothing seemed to be any trouble.Pool areas were also kept very spick and span with an abundance of sunbeds and straw parasols readily available if desired. Restaurant food we found to be of a high standard and plentiful with the usual choice of fish, meat, chicken and pasta dishes with the added choice of themed dishes each evening consisting of chinese,Indian and Japanese to name but a few.Having read some of the negative reviews of food on offer you sometimes have to wonder what some people expect and indeed what they eat in the comfort of their own homes, liked the way that Restaurant drinks were charged to your room and settled at Reception on checkout, im sure this speeded up the process of ordering drinks at meal times, found breakfasts to be of an equally high standard with omelettes available cooked to order as well as an array of hot and cold choices. In summary a more than enjoyable time was had at the San Antonio and though the hotel was probaly only half full and the majority of guests were of an older age group this in no way detracted from the good time we had here, in fact i would say that we met lots of friendly nice people and the hotel enjoys a lot of repeat visitors and if we choose Lanzarote again i think we will return also.

I stayed here with my wife and 2 kids, one aged 3 and one aged 8 months. The hotel is located at the far end of the strip. The staff were all very pleasant and helpful when required. The hotel is spotless. The pool is also pretty good with lots of staff by the pool bar.
My main gripe with this place was they try to stick the arm in where ever possible. Because we had an 8 month old kid we needed access to the minibar to keep stuff in for, the hotel charged us 12 euro to open the minbar so we could use it. We also needed access to a kettle to boil water for the babies bottles they wanted 30 euro for a weeks rental of a kettle, absolutely ridiculous.
The hotel is probably one of the most expensive you can stay at, so it left a sour taste in my mouth!
I'd estimate 75% of the people staying in the hotel are retired, very few familes or young couples.
I go to Puerto del carmen once a year to visit family and always wanted to stay here, i don't think i would stay again.

Room Tip: We hired the suite and i think they only have one, it is located right above the ballroom, so if you...

Dear guest,

Thank you very much for writing your kind opinion in Tripadvisor, it is really a very important tool for us to know the satisfaction of our guests.

We regret to know that the hotel did not always cover all the needs you had due to the baby, and this is something important to know, in order to try to solve these type of problems in the future.

It is true that the hotel charges some services, most of the hotels here do the same, but we have to offer the best for our clients and if you think that it is not a good idea, we will study how we can improve in this matter.

On winter season usually we have no many children, but on summer this situation changes, and we have a lot of young families with children, it depends on the holiday vacations.

Thank you again for your attention, and we hope you reconsider to visit us again in the future in order to offer you a better service.

Our best regards,
Lorea Santos

Just back from a week in San Antonio. Very relaxing week due to friendly staff, relaxed atmosphere in hotel. Food has improved here from my previous stay three years ago. Bar is very roomy with a lovely oval shaped bar, where one can sit, music every night. Bar staff are very friendly with a good sense of humor. Rooms don't seem to have been updated of late, even though they are very clean and cleaned daily. Weill definetley return here in the future.

We stayed at the VIK San Antonio hotel fron 16th to 23rd April and we found it to be the best hotel we have stopped at in the Canaries - and there have been quite a few.
The staff were very friendly and helpful. We requested another pillow in the morning and when we returned a couple of hours later it was in the room. The room itself was very good quality with a fantastic view over towards the airport. The only problem was the wind was so strong we couldnt go onto the balcany.
The entertainment was excellent - Mamma Mia an Abba tribute band were fantastic.
The only slight downside were the staff in the bar were not too keen to serve you when you booked the drinks to your room - no tips that way !
Overalll we would definitely return to this hotel just wish the weather had been slightly better.

We stayed in the VIK San Antonio over Easter week 7-14 April 2012, this was the second time at this hotel.
The service from the front desk/room cleaners/restaurant/ and any staff we met in between was excellent. We booked a room with a seaview which was beautiful to look out towards any time of the day.
The hotel is very well maintained and has a great pool area with several pools to choose from. The hotel only appeared to be about half full and therefore we could have had as many sunbeds as we wanted at any time of day.
We were on half board with a good choice at both sittings. Evening entertainment at this hotel is very good, they have some different types of acts which are usually enjoyable. We generally don't really like hotel entertainment but this hotel is the exception.
In the rooms there is the usual TV/small table & chairs/fridge (payable)/safe(payable)/furnished balcony/hairdryer in bathroom & if you go for a seaview that is extra.
We booked through the VIK website direct & then booked direct flight from Belfast with Aer Lingus. Return taxi booked online from Lanzarote airport was €32.
I would recommend this hotel and will return to it at some stage

Room Tip: Choose a room with a seaview

Dear guest,

We would like to thank you for your kind opinion and for spending your time writing this kind message in Tripadvisor.

It s a great pleasure for us to know that our guests have spent a great holidays in our hotel, there is nothing more important for us.

We just wanted to note you that next time you can book the taxi directly with the hotel, or take one just in front of the entrance, where you can find the taxi stop. The rate for one way to the airport costs aprox. 12/15 euros and not 32 euros as you had to pay online.

Thank you again, and we hope welcome you once more in our Vik San Antonio Hotel in a near future.

Best Regards,
