“Excellent Apartments”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 29, 2011

Lovely apartments & pool area just off the main strip of Puerto del Carmen. Nice and clean and a short walk away from the main areas. Would highly recommend to anyone heading to Lanzarote. Handy parking across the road if you decide on renting a car while you are there. The reception organized this for us and we were collected and brought to the car hire office, which was a nice touch.

Why were we nervous??? Our first ever lifestyle holiday and stepping in to the unknown. We researched absolutely everywhere and decided on Spice as being very convenient, with "options" in the area if we decided to leg it!! Wow!!!!!! Spice wins hands down and for us and it was the best holiday we’ve ever had. This beautiful resort is clean, tidy and maintained to a very high standard daily, including the rooms which are spacious and serviced every morning. The beds are fantastic, the staff are fabulous, and all very friendly and courteous. Food was incredible. Breakfast as little or as much as you want, tapas and snacks for lunch, and varied menus in the evening, with snacks served at other times to suit. Excellent. Nothing is too much trouble.

We booked our alternative holiday with some nerves as this was our first ever lifestyle or even naturist holiday, but what an amazing experience! Everyone could not have been more welcoming. They went out of their way to make us feel completely at ease. From the very start staff and fellow guests in particular totally respected our shyness and boundaries and allowed us to just be, and it genuinely took no time at all to feel comfortable and utterly relaxed. We met some incredible people. There was a good and relaxing mix of lifestyle couples and naturists and everyone got on so well, such is the ambience of Spice. James (the Entertainer) is a star. His energy and warmth (plus endless gags!) are brilliant. James – we miss you!!!! Even his games, which we eventually took part in, are a hoot and respect all boundaries. Nothing to fear.

Dean and Tracey are really lovely people who work tirelessly and are doing a wonderful job at making a holiday experience into something very special. Thanks to them (and all the staff) we felt safe, relaxed, entertained and spoilt in a sexy, relaxed and natural environment.

We could not have hoped for a more honest, open and welcoming crowd of people. Thank you Dean, Tracey, James and all SO MUCH. We loved it!

We had a fantastic holiday and will definitely be back because for us it’s now the ‘Spice of Life’!!!

From the moment we arrived to the second we left the staff simply couldnt have done anything else for us to create the most perfect holiday we have ever had. I've never been so sad to leave a holiday and will be back as soon as we can.

The bedroom is just beautiful with a super kingsize bed, the most comfortable I have ever slept in, a dressing room, fridge, tv and a balcony overlooking the pool and jacuzzi.

Naughty activities organised by James who is just hilarious, you have to join in - its great fun.

Monica is always smiling, and nothing is too much trouble for her for all your alcoholic beverage needs.

Fransisco - the chef cooks absolutely divine steaks and with his mama's prawn recipe which just melt in the mouth (amongst other dishes like baby squid and paella)

Last but not least I must give Big G a mention - the cocktail "party" barman, dont ever pick from the list, tell him what flavours you like and he will blow you away with a cocktail made just for you! Then once you have drank the night away he will deliver you an now imfamous pizza perfect for soaking up all the alcohol.

Thanks Spice, and see you all again soon!

Room Tip: We think room 110 had the best view (ours of course!)

We have just returned from a wonderful holiday - Perfect from start to end.

The personal welcome and check in was the tip of the iceberg. The rooms, service, food, cleanliness, entertainment, pool (basically everything) was excellent. Their website does not do this place justice.

No request is too much trouble and the staff are very friendly.

Whilst there, I sent a message to a friend that read: "I'm sat in the shade by the pool. It's 28 degrees, I have a coffee, canapés and a book, there's cool acid jazz playing on the pool music system - life is good."

We will be back.

stayed here in October 2010 and have to say it was fantastic. the hotel is spotless clean and cleaned on a daily basis. the staff are very friendly. the pool is also spotless clean and cleaned on a daily basis, its not to deep so it is safe for young children there is also a baby pool. there was entertainment on in the day for children and in the night time there was also entertainment on which was for both adults and young children. there is a tennis court and a playground and at reception there is a ping pong, pool an fuse ball table. the apartments are quiet. there only a short distance to the old town and also within walking distance to the new town. there is a spar supermarket just beside the hotel and also a chemist facing it. i would HIGHLY recommend these apartments to everyone. i will defo be going back to stay in these apartments again!!!!! :)

We decided to make use of a rare kid-free week and booked into Spice. This was our first visit to a Swingers' Resort and we took the approach that if we didn't like the more "spicy" aspects then we'd just chill out and get a nice suntan.

Well.... the staff were fantastic. The pool and jacuzzi were great and the activities co-ordinator, James, was just brilliant!

And we met some very special people.......

We'll be returning!

Room Tip: The Poolside balcony rooms are nice

My wife and I were celebrating a wedding anniversary at Spice. James and his colleagues made our week there even more special by arranging a wonderful swinger’s wedding ceremony. All of the staff were very friendly and attentive. There was really nothing that was too much trouble for them. Even though the resort was a long way from full at the time, we both found it an extremely enjoyable stay and found plenty of people to play with.
The bed (in the room) was extremely comfortable, the food was first rate and the party atmosphere excellent. We would definitely go back there.
