“Great tapas again and again”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 10, 2013

Having visited this little restaurant in August with family I decided to take my golf group of 16 to this place during our recent golf tour......it was so good we went back for the final night meal too!
From the moment we enquired the previous evening about booking a table of 16, which is never easy, the staff looked after us with great service, knowledge and a smile. The food on both nights was great and we all chose a dish or two each to share around but left the waiter and waitress to select some mixed starters for us. They managed canarian potatoes, homemade bread with tomato and ham, garlic octopus and prawns, fried cheese and chutney, huge bowls of mixed salad and banana and smoked ham croquettes ! Wow, what a feast. We had wine and beer with the meal and coffees with liquers after before they left us a whole bottle of brandy, limonchello and caramel vodka to finish the night off. All this for under 40 euros each. This is a must visit restaurant when in Puerto del Carmen. Many thanks.

“They'd teach a lot of restaurants in PdC a thing or two”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 6, 2013

This restaurant is located about twenty metres or so off the main avenida., on a side street beside where the old McDonalds used to be. I must have crossed that street hundreds of times over the years. Occasionally Taberna Nino caught my eye but I had never tried it. Last holiday my girlfriend and I went up to have a closer look. Immediately we noticed they had a lot of Spanish custom which we reckoned must be a good indicator..

We were met on entering by an immaculately dressed waiter who escorted us to a table with very friendly banter. Drinks were served to us immediately. I had steak medallions cooked to perfection whilst my partner had the fish. Both dishes were superb. We then had amazing deserts. If we even looked in the direction of the staff they immediately came to us..

The next night we came back and had tapa's. There was some different staff but the same friendliness and professionalism was present throughout.

Taberna Nino is definitely on our regular restaurant list now. Truly wonderful

“not as good as before”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed December 3, 2013

Enjoyed the tapas here on a previous visit and we were very keen to return. Disappointed with our food this time, although we chose the same dishes as before, they just were not as good. Also unimpressed with the service, the waiter seemed to have taken an instant unreasonable dislike to us, which made us feel uneasy. Not a good atmosphere.

“Excellent Tapas just off the strip”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 30, 2013

We visited here last night after reading the reviews on here. Thank goodness as it is up a side street just off the main strip and likely we would not have tried it. We got five different tapas all of which were superb especially the garlic prawns. I would say that five were too many between the two of us three would be enough. We particularly enjoyed the canarian potatoes and the veal with chorizo as well as the prawns. we will be back before the week is over.

“amazing tapas”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 22, 2013

Just returned from PdC .We had read about this restaurant on tripadvisor so thought we'd give it a try . The tapas is probably the best we've ever had it was delicious. We had five tapas dishes and garlic bread which really was to much we should have left the garlic bread out as the dishes are a little larger then anywhere else. When dishes came from the kitchen to the tables everyone stopped to look because each dish was more like a work of art than a meal (a sign of a good restaurant) be sure to give it a visit . It's up the side of the Wok Chinese .We will return.
